Warning: Talks of injuries after a fight
"You know it might just kill you to be more careful." Killua mumbles, dragging (Y/n) back into the apartment. The two are currently traveling together along side Gon. Who was off running errands at the moment.
"Well I have to test my limits." (Y/n) replies with a huff. "How else will I know how strong I am?"
"We're all freakishly strong thirteen years olds (Y/n). Even I can take down a grown adult with years of training and come back in better shape than you."
(Y/n) scoffs, "yeah yeah yeah." Plopping down on the usual chair, "just get this over with."
"I might as well start charging you for this." Killua continues to scold, "I mean really even I'm not as reckless as you were today."
"Okay okay, form assassin, but who was about to take a massive blow before I jumped in?"
"I would have dodged it!" He defends before lowing his voice again. "You don't need to take hits for me..."
"Killua, look at me." He does. "You couldn't see it. Now matter how good of a fighter you are, you still mess up sometimes." He looks away, "and you would do the same for me. In fact I know you have."
"Whatever, be more carful." He moves away but (Y/n) catches his hand, pressing a kiss to it. He blushes and walks away in a huff. Hearing (Y/n) laughing makes him smile.
----
With the enemy finally defeated, (Y/n) rushes over to see how Killua was doing. The man he was fighting against had fled with server wounds. Killua was on the ground breathing heavily. He was flopping down face up on the ground.
Like how he does whenever they go to a hotel room. He'll throw his stuff down and flop on the bed. Or into a pill of snow or leaves. With a big grin on his face.
"Hey!" (Y/n) calls out to him, but he doesn't make any movements. "Hey!" Still nothing.
A crater was made from the intense fighting. After sliding down and rushing over to him, (Y/n) picks him up and holds him. Killua's eyes shown him in a daze like state. Not even shaking him caused a reaction.
"Fuck." Help was no where around. "Fuck fuck fuck." The only choice was to run to find someone or at least a place to rest. If (Y/n)'s legs didn't give out before then. Putting all other thoughts aside, our hero starts running. Shifting Killua around so that he was being carried like a piggyback ride.
Gon was off with another group at the moment. Probably in another country by now. Alluka stayed behind this time. While she is very powerful, her ability might have ruined this whole mission. Or saved everyone.
No one has been able to get in touch with Kurapika in two months. Even if a cell phone could receive a signal out here, he wouldn't pick up. Leorio must be taking an exam right now. Or is asleep because of all the studying his been doing.

Regardless, there was truly no one to call. (Y/n)'s lungs began to feel like they were burning. A normal reaction when your whole body is screaming for a break. Just a slight moment of rest, but there wasn't time for that.
Looking down to check on Killua, his eyes are now closed. When did that happen? (Y/n) grabbed his wrist and felt his pulse. A sigh of relief fills the air. He's still alive.
With a strange town in sight, (Y/n) slows down a bit. Just where are they now? A small inn was the only place to crash for the night. It looked like it was out of an old western movie Gon and Killua watched one night.
"Hello." (Y/n) greets the receptionist. The old lady sitting behind the desk looks up from her book. She inspects the two young teens with her eyes.
"How many rooms?" She replies rudely.
"Just one."
She hums and lays a room key on the counter. "Three." With that she picks her book back up.
"Thank you very much." (Y/n) walks off into the room. It was surprisingly clean, a good sign that things might just look up. That is if there was a place to get medical supplies here. Or, hopefully, a working phone.
Laying Killua down on the bed, (Y/n) starts with washing the dirt off of him. His face, arms and legs. "Sorry but this is all that I can do right now." After that it was time to check out the town.
Not having a change of fresh clothes doesn't seem out of the ordinary for this place. It's not a poor town, just surrounded by dirt. Must be a miracle they found water here. Luckily for our hero there was a small pharmacy shop.
Even though the selection contained mostly pain medication, cough drops, and candy. There was a small container filled with a variety of bandages. A larger tube of anti-bacterial cream would have to replace rubbing alcohol this time.
"Oh hi." The sale person says when (Y/n) steps up to the counter. "I didn't see you there." He looks at how exhausted the young teen is. "Uh is everything okay?"
"Yes thank you." (Y/n) replies and hands him the money.
He shakes his head, "your lucky today everything is half off. We're getting a large shipment tomorrow morning and need to replace all the items we have in stock." It was an easy lie to spot. One (Y/n) is very thankful for.
"Thank you so much."
Killua woke up with a jolt and scans the room. Just he was about to move (Y/n) opens the door. "Your awake."
"Yeah..." He looks at the bag, "where are we? And what happened?"
"I don't know but everything's going to be okay." (Y/n) didn't really say that for Killua's sake. "You passed out after the fight. And since there wasn't anyone to call I ran until I found this place. Come no let's get you patched up."

He shakes his head, "you need to take a break and wash off. I'll take care of myself." (Y/n) was about to protest but his soft eyes turned into a demanding glare.
Giving in, (Y/n) slowly lays down onto the other bed, handing Killua the bag. "This is it?" He asks.
"It's all they had. The guy working there gave me everything half off too. Guess looking like you just crawled out of a hole has its perks." (Y/n) chuckles, "I'm going to close my eyes for a second let me know when you need help."
Killua does all that he can to dress his wounds. He stands up to stretch, seeing the (h/c) now in a light sleep. Debating wether or not he should leave the room to find something to eat. It won't take long, he thinks to himself and leaves.
When he returns (Y/n) is sitting up on the bed. "Got us some food and water."
"Thanks." Killua sits down on the bed, applying the cream onto the back of his (Y/n)'s arm. "I can do that you should get before it gets cold."
"I'm just paying you back for carrying me all the way here. Also I found a phone we can use at a bar. Anyone you think we could call?"
"No I already thought of everyone on the way here. Leorio would be the best choice if he can even answer. Alluka would be the second choice if you know the hotels number."
"Leorio it is then." Killua concludes, "are you okay?"
"Yep just needed some rest is all." (Y/n) answers, "you did scare me half to death a few hours ago you know."
"Yeah I'm sorry." He felt a head being leaned against his shoulder.
"Don't apologize. Just try not to do it again."
"Right I promise."
Nighttime rolled around and our heroes enter the bar. The workers at the bar insatiately yell at them. "Hey! No kids are allowed here!" A man yells, passing a costumer a drink.
"We just need to use your phone." (Y/n) tries to explain while a women walks over to them.
"And why is that?" She asks.
"Because we're not from here and we would like to leave as soon as possible." Both workers laugh.
"Like two kids like you have any money. Run back to wherever you came from."
"That's what we're trying to do!" Killua pipes up, slamming his fist onto the bar. "What do you want?"
"How about a game of pool?" An older looking man walks out from a door label 'office'. "If one of you can beat me you can even stay here tonight."
"And the catch?" (Y/n) glares.
He laughs, "no catch. You two will just have to leave, no questions asked, without causing a scene."
As skilled as Killua is, he's even played a game of pool. Nor has he watched anyone play it. In face he's pretty sure he's only heard about it in passing. So, natural, (Y/n) steps up. "Alright then, you have deal." A hand shake approves of the agreement.
The old man never gets a chance at taking a shot. No Nen was involved either. (Y/n) was just that good. The man laughs and turns to his employees, "hand the kid the phone."
Killua dials Leorio phone number, (Y/n) walks over to overhear the conversation. He picks up just before time ran out. "Will you scammers quit calling me! Before I change my major and sue you-"
"Leorio it's me! Killua!"
The line goes silent for a moment. "Oh Killua." Leorio chuckles, "sorry about that. What's up? Did you get a new number or something?"
"No we need you to come pick us up." He tries to explain but is cut off.
"Listen I wish I could but-"
(Y/n) takes the phone out of Killua's hand, "Leorio please there's no one else who can. Killua and I got out of a major fight barley alive. I'm so sorry for asking you but please-"
"Alright alright I'll do it. Where are you at?" (Y/n) tells him the town and he looks it up on a map. "How did you both end up all the way out there?!"
Killua takes the phone back, "I'll cover all your expenses just get a car and start driving. We're staying at the only inn in town."
"Okay I'll be there as soon as I can. Be safe you two." Leorio hands up the phone. (Y/n) passes the old landline phone back.
"Thank you." They both say and the workers scoff.
"Yeah well, you got luck the owner was in today."
The sound of a car honking in the middle of the night sparked joy into our heroes hearts. Neither them could fall asleep. Killua placed some money on the front desk along with the room key.
"Hey." Leorio greets as they step into the back seat. "Damn you guys really did get into a fight."
"Yeah... do you think you could looks over our injuries?" (Y/n) asks.
"Sure no problem. I'll give them a quick glance at the next stop. For now just go to sleep and stop worrying." He replies softly, remembering another reason for wanting to become a doctor.
"Thank you, Leorio." Killua says as he begins to drive.
"Shut up and sleep already."
The two teens chuckles, (Y/n) places a hand over Killua's. They both leans their heads against each other, lacing their fingers together. Finally, a moment of peace has arrived.
Can you tell I wrote the second part first? Made it too long and didn't know how to write the first half so I just left it short? And wrote it all in one sitting? Yeah that happens sometimes.

Two Existentialists | S.R.
"How many existentialists does it take to screw a lightbulb?" Spencer asked with a small laugh. Once again the room was silent. You faintly heard Agent Rossi mutter, "Don't.""2. One to change the light bulb and one to observe how it symbolizes an incandescent beacon of subjectivity in a netherworld of cosmic nothingness," he said. The room was silent still, until you laughed. His eyes looked up at yours in confusion. "Wouldn't they sit in the dark and hope that the bulb decided to light again? An existentialist would never change the bulb. He would allow the darkness to exist," you questioned.-#1 #spencerreid#1 #mgg#1 emilyprentiss
