《Anime One Shots Book 1》Gon X Fem! Reader (Hunter X Hunter) {Four Leaves on a Clover}
On the night of October 10th, 2021 I finally fished watching Hunter X Hunter (2011) after starting it five years ago. This is a tribute to 13 year old me, who loved this series and who never got passed the ant arc. You did it kid.
Note: The reader is 13, same age as Gon and Killua
Greed Island; an unknown place in the real world but most people think it is just a game. Only nen users are allowed in, setting the games difficulty the moment you step in.
This is where we meet our heroes Gon and Killua on another journey. Still on their quest to find Gon's father. Killua tagging along for the ride.
In this arc the boys meet another kid their age; the luckiest thirteen year old (Y/n).
Their first meeting was in the town closest to the spawn in point every player visits in the game. Gon and Killua step out of a restaurant and walk over to a bulletin board filled with different competitions. If you win you get a card. So the boys partake in a few, noticing (Y/n) winning many of these competitions.
Each one of these competitions involved luck. Some might say knowing your opponent helps too. But let's be honest, in a game of rock-paper-scissors there is no way to tell. "Geez how come that kid keeps winning..." Killua mumbles to himself.
"It's a partner, every four games..." Gon whispers to himself, "maybe an item?" Smoke starts to come from his ears. Killua drags him off to their next competition.
(Y/n) notices the boys too, "huh they must be around my age. And they're cute..."
After our heroes got ambushed, they plan out their next move by a staircase. This is where our newest character makes an appearance. "Hello!" (Y/n) greets with a smile. "You boys are new players too, yeah?"
"Yeah we are." Gon replies. "I'm guessing you are too?"
Don't trust people so blindly idiot, Killua thinks glaring at Gon.
"Yep sorry all your cards got stolen." (Y/n) moves down the stairs and stands on the last step. "I heard that in Masadora you can get spell cards."
"Oh really? Maybe we can get a map too." Gon looks over at Killua. He is studying this person in front of them. So he doesn't add in any input.
"I'm headed there myself if you want to join me. I may not look like it but I'm pretty strong. I can protect you until we get there." (Y/n) tries to persuade them.
"And why would you do that?" Killua finally pipes up. "What are you trying to gain from us?" He stands up, Gon follows his actions.
(Y/n) shrugs, "well this game is fun after all, and I haven't gotten the chance to protect anyone yet. So why not?"
Gon is known for having another sense for telling wether or not a person's intentions are good. That ability has only sharpened with his adventures. After hearing this mysterious person is enjoying his father's game, he agrees. "Okay then but you have to lead the way."
Killua blinks and watches as Gon and (Y/n) start walking. "Huh!?" He ends up following anyway, to protect Gon.
A few hours of walking have passed, Gon and (Y/n) have been exchanging in small talk.
"Wait..." Killua walks in front of their newest companion. "You're from the (L/n) family! Aren't you!"
(Y/n) chuckles, "sure am Zoldyck. But I'm not here to rob you guys or anyone. I'm truly just here to play the game."

Gon looks back and forth between them; trying to figure out what they are talking about.
"Never mind that," Gon changes the subject. "How long is that girl going to follow us?"
A rather young looking girl with long, blonde, pig tails jogs after them.
"At least I ask to travel with you guys..." (Y/n) mumbles to no one.
The girl following them finally revealed herself. She starts yelling at our heroes, "honestly you have so much potential! Just watching you fail pisses me off!"
"What do you want old hang." Killua says casually.
The girl fights the intense urge to knock him out. "I'm going to train you two." She declares.
"'You two?'" Gon repeats, "there's three of us."
"You and the brat over there are the one's who need training." She explains, "the other seems to have already gone through it."
(Y/n) chuckles, "y-yeah I have. It's freaky that you can tell."
"Never mind all that." Killua cuts in, "aren't you going to tells your name? Or is old hang still acceptable?"
"The name's Biscuit, call me Bisky. Remember it," she punches Killua and sends him flying into the air. "Brat." She returns to talking to Gon. "So, what do you say?"
He thinks about it while Killua walks back to where he was perversely standing. (Y/n) takes this as a chance to leave. "Well," Gon is pulled away from his thoughts. "It was traveling with you while I could." Turning to leave, "don't be a stranger."
Gon waves goodbye, "did she really finish her training?"
Bisky nods, "yep looks like it. I just wonder what ability she choose..."
(Y/n) and Killua passed by each other, "leaving already?"
"Yeah." (Y/n) replies, "but let's meet up again soon. It's boring traveling by yourself."
He chuckles, "your telling me." He turns to see her still walking away. "Hey!" He calls, "why did you want to travel with us? The real reason?"
She laughs, "who wouldn't want to travel with two cute boys."
"Huh?!"
She walks back over to him, flicking him in a forehead. "You should trust people a little more. Besides I'm young, what other reason would I have? And who wouldn't want to travel a game with two cuties." She winks and laughs, teasing him.
Killua huffs and starts walking back. "Who the hell says 'cuties' these day!"
----
New Years Eve has arrived and our heroes are departing ways. "Be safe!" Gon shouts as Killua sails off to get his hunters license.
"Don't worry! I'll be back soon!"Killua shouts back and is gone beyond the horizon.
"Well then," Bisky says, "let's head to Masadora and see what drinks we can find." She laughs. At the entrance they spot (Y/n).
"Hey!" Gon runs up to her. "(Y/n)!"
She turns around, "oh hey!" She greets, "how have you been? And where's Killua?" Noticing how dirty his clothes are, fall off holes in some places.
"We've been good, training harder every day." He smiles, "Killua's gone to get his hunters license."
Bisky stops by to tell them she'll go ahead and "ring in the new year" with some other drinkers. "You two don't go getting into trouble." She waves.
The two look at each other. "Anything you need to do?" She asks.
"Nope not really." He shrugs, "you?"
She thinks, "how about we get some food? Before everywhere becomes too crowded."

"Sounds good to me." And so they went to a restaurant that sells every kind of food. That's legal, however. After ordering their food, Gon asks a question that's been on his mind since they first met. "This isn't my place to ask, but why does Killua know your family?"
(Y/n) looks around to see how could be listening in. She leans across the table and whispers, "I'm from a family of bandits. The stealing and killing kind." She sits back up straight, using her normal voice level. "Natural I've come across his family a few times."
"Are your families rivals or something?" He questions, taking a spit of his drink.
"Not really. We've had problems in the past but neither side holds a grudge. At least my family doesn't."
Their food arrives and (Y/n) takes a turn at asking questions. "What's your family like? Your father made this game, right?"
"Yeah, he did. I'm sure this will be a huge clue in finding him!" He smiles, getting excited just thinking about it. Which surprises (Y/n) but she doesn't let it show. "I live with my Aunt back on Whale Island. But Killua is basically like family to me now."
(Y/n)'s curiosity gets the better of her. "This is none of my businesses but why are you looking for him?"
"To see why he left. He couldn't give up being a hunter so I wanted to see what was so great about it." Gon replied without a hint of sarcasm. Or like was holding a grudge.
They continue to make small talk and finish their food. "I heard they're going to shoot fireworks tonight."
Gon's eyes began to sparkle, speaking for him. "I know a good spot we can watch them, if you want to join me."
He nods his head, "yeah! Let's go!"
Through a small forest and up a large hill, no one else was there. "It's almost midnight now." (Y/n) sighs, "we made it just in time."
"How did you find this place?"
"I come here every once and while. It reminds me of my homeland. And it's a good place to check what events are happening." She answers.
From that spot you could see many major cities. Each one of them releases balloons to signal the start of a new event.
"Anyway, how's clearing the game been going for you?"
The fireworks began to shoot off into the night sky. Covering up all the shinning stars. "Okay, we've been training so much that we haven't had the chance to collect any."
"I see." (Y/n) nods, "well if you every need help just contact me."
"Thanks."
The fireworks end and the two walk back to Masadora. Gon meets up with Brisky and they said goodbye to (Y/n) once again.
----
Watching the teams leave puts Gon, Killua and Bisky in a tuff spot. They are now at Soufrabi, trying to find the "Plot of Beach" card. Problem is they need a good amount of players to challenge Razor again. Even after recruiting Hisoka, Goreinu and Tsezguerra's team, they are still short one player.
"Oh! We can ask (Y/n)!" Gon suggests.
"Yeah but we haven't seen her in awhile..." Killua trails off.
"It's fine we ran into each other on New Years." Gon says and looks at the group. "She's another strong player who might not be interested in collecting cards. And she's a friend."
"See if she's still in the game first." Bisky advices before Gon gets too excited.
Gon checks his binder, "yep she's still here." He picks up a card, "contact on (Y/n)."
A few seconds of silence pass, "hey Gon." A very tired (Y/n) answers with a yawn.
"Hey!" He greets cheerfully, "we really need another player could you come to Soufrabi?" He asks getting straight to the point.
"Sure like right now?"
"Yeah sorry for asking so suddenly." Killua chimes in.
"Oh hey Killua! It's all good I did say you could ask for my help anytime. Give me a second and I'll be right there." (Y/n) seems to have shaken off her sleepiness.
(Y/n) uses the card 'Return' and spots Gon and the gang. "Hey!" She calls and looks at all the people here. "Hello everyone." She gets a creepy feeling from the guy who is dressed like a clown.
They do a quick introduction and give (Y/n) all the details. "Okay sounds easy enough. What do you want me to do?"
"First what is your ability?" Tsezguerra questions.
She chuckles, "well I never reveal that unless we get into a fight. But it seems we don't have time for that." Killua and Gon realize they haven't seen her fighting style or nen.
"But, this isn't my ability more of how my life works." The others started to doubt Gon's decision of being her here. "Ever since I was born I've had a chance of landing a really luck hit on my opponent. Wether it was scorning a luck basketball shot or a finishing blow in a fight."
She takes out her weapon, duel blades. Two short swords that are used to fight together. "And so I uses these to hopefully increase that chance." Though she has yet to realize it, using two weapons does not increase her chances.
"So like getting a critical hit in a video game?" Killua mumbles to himself.
"Yeah exactly! It can only happen thirteen times since that's how old I am."
Everyone looks at each other, "we'll put you in dodge ball. A hit like that would be best." Tsezguerra says.
"Alright then let's go." Bisky says.
So far everything was smooth sailing for the group. Until Razor announces that the next game will be dodgeball.
Once all the players are on the court, "ready... begin!"
With the amount of tension in the air those watching from the sidelines thought they might suffocate.
Killua passes the ball to (Y/n) who then aims for the two player close together. "What are you thinking!?"
The ball suddenly gains speed and Razor never say that coming. Both players are hit, "numbers one and three, out."
Razor chuckles, "lucky shot huh?"
"Indeed." (Y/n) smiles, back up to the middle part of the court. "Coming after me now yeah?"
"Yeah." Razor launches a ball right at her. She purposefully stood away from her other teammates.
"Dodge!" Bisky shouts and (Y/n) drops down onto the floor. The ball just barely misses her.
Razor laughs and claps. "Very nice. Let's see if you can do it again."
With a fierce fire in her eyes, (Y/n) blocks everything else out. It was a gamble for sure. Goreinu and his nen beasts are knocked out along side Tsezguerra. Killua takes the ball out of her hands and passes it to Hisoka. "Stay focused." He tells her.
She nods and snaps back into the game. Razor doesn't aim for her this time. The ball he throws goes towards Bisky. She tries to dodge it but (Y/n) knew she would still get hit.
Lunging to get in front of her, (Y/n) takes the hit. "Hey!" Gon calls as she falls to the ground.
"It hit the back of her head!" One of Tsezguerra's men shouts. Gon and Killua carry her off the court.
"You did well." Gon says and becomes more fired up. "We'll win this for sure."
And sure enough (Y/n) wakes up to see Gon pass out and Hisoka winning the game.
----
With the game almost cleared, Gon decided to tell (Y/n) how he feels. The two meet on the same hill they watched the fireworks show.
"This is a joke, right?" (Y/n) asks, laughing but Gon stands firm, he wasn't joking.
"I really do like you (Y/n). Especially after we started traveling together after deafening Razor." He says, slightly hurt by her words.
"Could I have a moment?" Gon nods and (Y/n) leaves. Gon waits for her, not moving until she comes back.
Killua, knowing Gon's plan, finds (Y/n) in the forest.
"Hey." He says from a tall tree branch.
She looks at him softly, "you were watching huh?"
"Yeah." He jumps down. "I thought you liked him too."
"I do!" She exclaims, "but I mean..."
Killua sighs and scratches his head. Gon was the one who's good with words not him. Especially when he comes to emotuons. And so he uses the words he has been told many times. "Alright then let's talk through it. Do you want to date him?"
"I guess." She mumbles, "we're just thirteen Killua. I never saw the point in dating someone so young. Other than for experience... I suppose?"
That was easy, Killua thought but continues to press on. "What's another reason?"
"I just don't want to lose him as a friend."
"Gon's the type who's friends with anyone. Trust me I've met a lot of them. Even if you guys don't work out romantically you can always go back to being friends. Unless you break his heart of course." The last part was a joke that made (Y/n) even more worried.
"I don't want to break his heart." (Y/n) mumbles.
"I was kidding." Killua sighs, "you could always do a trial run?"
"No that's okay." (Y/n) turns, "I have my answer. Thanks for helping me though. Let's head back now."
"Go on ahead I'll go meet up with Bisky." Killua waves and walks back towards Masadora.
(Y/n) finds Gon sitting on the ground looking up at the stars. "Gon," she calls and he stands up. Taking a deep breath, "I like you. I really really do. But I don't want to interrupt your journey. Or my own."
"Yeah."
"And your out looking for your dad with Killua, your best friend. I won't become between you two."
"Yeah."
She looks at him in the eye. "So..." She sighs, "I'm really lucky to have met you. Playing this game, for me, was just a way to pass time. But I met you and made wonderful friends."
He puts a hand on her shoulder, "we don't have to date you know. I just didn't want to finish the game without telling you. I don't want to regret not telling you later in life."
"Yeah." She chuckles, "how about whenever your finish your journey come find me. After we beat this game of course. Then we can go on a date and see where we are then?"
He hold out a hand for to shake. "Sounds good to me."
She takes it and pulls him in for a hug. "I'll be waiting for you."
----
Two years have passed since Gon and the gang beat Greed Island. He found his dad and had a chat at the top of the tree with him. After that he called (Y/n), she answers after missing the call twice.
"Hello hello!" She greets, "how's it going?"
"Good, listen uh..." He scratches the back of his head. "How about that date you promised? York New City sound good?"
"Sure I'll be there in a few days. Just finished up my lastest job actually."
"Luck me." Gon smiles.

Editor's Note: Someone disable his permission to edit the draft on UnityDocs, please! Hello, I'm McKing and I aim to write an original story with elements I've never seen put together before. Feel free to point out any mistakes you see — I'm not a native speaker, so I'm sure a few will pass me by. Sci-fi; Humor; (Brazilian) Urban Fantasy; faint shades of LitRPG. **Be warned it has a bit of an (absurd) slice-of-life beginning though the story is being subtly (I hope) worked on and eventually shifts gears (a bit). I planned to say that from the beginning, but I forgot to add it.** I hope that you enjoy it and that I can grow as a writer with your contributions. No Fixed Update Schedule. My inspiration comes in bursts and so will the Chapters. Sorry if that displeases you (I love regular updates too), but I'm afraid that's the best I can do for now. Keep in mind that it is a work in progress and things can eventually change a bit - I'll try to always note the changes. Sorry for the bad cover, it was the best my sorry skills could do! I hope you enjoy it,Mcking

Modded Skyr*m: Real Life Edition
It seems that I died while I was playing VR Skyr*m. The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the middle-aged man who called himself The Overlord of Dremora and Dragons. He told me they were releasing Skyr*m: Real-Life Edition. However, you have to be dead first to play it, and I was chosen as a 'beta tester' of sorts. I found myself in a semi-realistic (thanks to mods) world, and I want to have fun and relax for the rest of my life, and maybe get back to Earth. There's just a small *RAWR* problem. Setting: This happens within the world in The Legend of the Fake Hero, specifically two arcs from now. About: I am writing this for fun as a side project. I intend this to be semi-interactive as I will have polls where readers can influence the book's direction. I have the final say because I believe that too many cooks in the kitchen are not a good thing. The plan is to write it in parts that are around 1-2k words. Typically around every 3 to 6 parts, they will be combined into a finalized chapter and re-edited for a smoother read. Release schedule: When I feel like it. I'll be more inclined to write if there is more interaction, both in comments and polls, towards the story. However, I will be focusing on The Legend of the Fake Hero because that is something I own entirely and enjoy. I will try to do consistent uploads. Disclaimer: This work falls under fair use as it is a partial parity, does not affect the value of the original work, is an original story within the setting (within my setting), and is not being sold. All IP belongs to their respective owners (including myself). Currently uploading on Scribble Hub and Royal Road under the same username.
