"Hey Killua," he hums in response, "have you ever kissed someone before?"
"Huh!?"
"I was just wondering." (Y/n) says without the slightest bit of embarrassment.
"Well, uh..." He rubs the back of his head, "it's such a weird thing to ask at a time like this. Did the cold freeze your braincells or something?"
"No. I was just thinking about how other people always talk about how romantic kissing in the rain is. So would kissing in the snow be bad, since it's frozen rain? Or would it be more romantic because it's frozen rain."
"Yeah your braincells are defiantly frozen..." Killua mumbles and sighs, "if you want to know so badly..."
(Y/n)'s head tilts, "I couldn't hear you, what did you say?"
Seriously how are you not embarrassed by asking that question! There's no way I can just repeat what I just said! Think Zoldyck think!
Killua grabs a hand full of snow and shoves it right in (Y/n)'s face. "Nothing." He gets up, shoves his hands in his pocket, and walks back to where they were staying at. Or at least where they planned too.
(Y/n) too grabs a hand full of snow and starts walking behind him, making Killua a little bit on edge. He knows his friend would come up with a counter attack, it was only a matter of when and how.
They walk a little ways in a very uncomfortable silence, it was all going according to the attackers plan. "I know you're going to-" Killua cuts himself off as (Y/n) sprints out in front of him, shoving the snow ball right in his face before running off.
He blows the snow that got into his nose, "oi!" He shouts and tries catching up. It was a little easier for him to traverse though the snow. All he had to do was match his foot steps with (Y/n)'s. Of course neither of them saw the very large patch of ice covering the top of the snow.

Killua was an arms length away from (Y/n) and was reaching his arm out when they both started to fall. (Y/n) tried doing that body twist, thing, that the human body does to stay upright. but alas, it was no use.
Wait, (Y/n) just fell. And I just fell. This is going to end badly...
Killua too tried the same thing but also failed, falling on top of his friend.
Yep, called it.
They both slid all the way off of the ice before stoping. Killua immediately moved off of (Y/n), blush marks appearing on his face. (Y/n) thought nothing of it, it was an accident and it wasn't like he had planned that out or anything.
"I'm so sorry." He apologized over and over again.
"It's okay, there's no need to apologize." (Y/n) smiled sweetly.
"You aren't made that I fell on top of you?" He asks, "you aren't going to hit me or...?"
(Y/n)'s head titled, "no? It wasn't like you did it on purpose. Neither of use saw the ice and you moved off without even looking at me." Killua helped pull his friend up, "but jeez my back is freezing now." (Y/n) laughs, "let's call it a truce for now?"
He nods in agreement, "sure. Let's just hurry up and get some place warm."
----
"Sorry but there's only one room left." The hotel worker said, "I'm so sorry."
The protagonists looked at each other, "we'll take it." (Y/n) said, "after all it's not your fault. This place is on the small side and is very busy right now."
The worker smiled in relief, they were so used to getting yelled at. It was refreshing to not be, even better when the costumer understands it's not their fault. "You will be in room 505, it's the last room on the left. Please enjoy your stay."

"Thank you very much." Killua said, taking the room key.
He unlocks the door and revealed a very small room. "There's..."
"Only...."
"One bed..." They both mumble at the same time. "Uh..."
Since fills the small room. "Well that is to be expected when you're staying in the middle of nowhere. And at a small hotel at that..." (Y/n) said trying to lighten up the mood before things got even more awkward.
"Yeah..." Killua mutters to himself as (Y/n) took off their heavy winters coat.
"If you don't mind I'm going to go warm up in the bath for a bit."
"Yeah no go ahead. I'm not the one who's been shivering for awhile." He stutters out awkwardly.
Get a hold of yourself Zoldyck. This is one of your best friends, it's one night and it's not even that big of a deal. Just keep your cool like you always do.
After (Y/n) had come back the sun had already set. They went back to the main hotel entrance to grab something quick to eat before going to sleep. Both of them were on the very edge of the bed but (Y/n) was still shivering. There was hardly any heating in the hotel, and their winter's coat was still wet from the ice earlier that day.
Leaving (Y/n) a cold mess, trying desperately not to make a sound and wake Killua up. Unfortunately Killua never fell asleep, he hated seeing his friend freezing cold. But mostly because he was embarrassed about their situation.
(Y/n) is literally freezing but I can't take off may coat cause then I'll be in the same situation. I doubt they will take it anyway. There's got to be a solution that will fix this...
It hit him, there's no way I can just cuddle my friend! That's so weird! And awkward! It might make things worse! But then again having the person I'm traveling with freeze to death would be worse. Today has already made me more embarrassed than I have ever been in my whole life. Okay, here goes nothing...
"Hey," Killua broke the silence, "you can come closer to me if that'll help warm you up."
"You sure?" (Y/n) said, teeth chattering.
"Considering your teeth are now chattering, yes please come here before you freeze to death."
"I won't freeze to death." (Y/n) mumbles, moving closer to him. This, however, was not what Killua meant when he said 'closer'. Therefore he moved closer and wrapped his friend in a warm hug.
"Jeez you really are freezing!" He exclaimed, "are you sure you don't have frost bite or something!?"
"Killua, you're over exaggerating. Just go to sleep."
"Yeah yeah yeah, just get warm." He says, closing his eyes.
'Get warm?' 'Get warm?!' What kind of response was that!
"I will I will. Thank you." (Y/n) says, drifting off into a nice sleep.
Uh yeah. I want to smash my head into a wall but this is the last request that I have. I've been trying to think of what to do for this since The first week of January. It is now the first week of May. I am so sorry that you had to read this. This was so over the place I don't even what to try and explain what I was thinking. Other than the room being '505' is a reference to an Arctic Monkeys song that I was listening to while writing.
I shall now go and do anything but my school work, even though I really should go and do at least one assignment.
LOVE YOU GUYS

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.

Galduta
What seperates beasts from men isn't the language we speak or any such drivel taught to us in school. It isn't the way we walk or our intelligence that sets us apart. Some would have you believe that it is our ability to think and reason that makes us fundamentally different from the creatures that inhabit the world. That way of thinking, my friends, is entirely wrong. What seperates us from them and them from each other, is simply the skin that we all wear
