《Anime One Shots Book 1》Kyo Sohma X Female! Reader (Fruits Basket) {Another Cruse}

3. Following Fruits Basket lore, cursed people are made fun or the eye and hair color. For the sake of that and trying to make this one shot make sense, I went with black eyes. There are wolf's with black fur and everyone since has different skin tones, I thought this would work best.
It was a sunny afternoon during lunch time on a Wednesday. Though something as a little off, there was a child with orange hair crying underneath a slide at the local park. He was wearing an elementary school uniform and was curled up into a small ball. No one else was there to help the poor child, or even witness the scene.
That is until another elementary school child with grey comes running up to the park, clutching her book bag for dear life. She runs up the play ground set and hides in the tunnel slide. Tears were pouring down her face as she hold in her sobs and hiccups.
The boy with orange hair jumps up when he hears her in the slide. He goes to the end and looks up, "hey..." he mumbles, tears still falling from his face. The girl sees him and starts to climb back up to the top. "Are you ok-"
The girl's foot slipped and she slide down the slide but luckily stopped herself at the bottom before she hit the boy. She was now incredibly embarrassed and banged her head on the slide in attempts to cover her face and eyes. The dead give away that she was in fact not okay was her shaking body.
"Hey..." The boy says again and moves away from the slide, "do you want to get down?"
The girl slides down without saying a word and looks over at the boy when she lands on her feet. "I'm sorry." She says and bows.
The boy shakes his head, "what's your name?" He asks.
The girls stands up straight, "(Full Name), nice to meet you." She bows.
"I'm Kyo Sohma, it's nice to meet you too." He replies and bows.
"Are you in elementary school too?" (Y/n) asks, looking at his uniform.
Sohma nods, "yeah you too?"
She smiles weakly and nods. "And you're crying as well?"
He nods, "you are too."
"Do you want to talk about it?" (Y/n) asks, looking away from him.
"Huh...?" Sohma mumbles in confusion, no one has ever asked him that before. It's always 'it'll be okay' and 'why is he always crying?'
"My teacher always asks us that when someone is crying..." (Y/n) replies, "do you want too?"
Sohma looks around before nodding, walking up the play set to sit down at the top of the stairs. (Y/n) followed his actions, sitting next to him.
"Everyone hates me." He starts, "I don't have any friends left because I scare everyone away."
"That's not true," (Y/n) rubs his back just like her teacher does. "I don't hate you and you're not scary to me."
"That's because you just met me..." He mumbles in reply, not looking at her.
"You have a family right?"
He nods, "a large one yes."
"Then there's gotta be someone who doesn't hate you." She smiles, "I'm sure it's not true-"
"It is!" He shouts and tears start to form in his eyes again. "They all hate me! And I hate them!"
(Y/n)'s not sure what to do at this point so she just hugs him. "They may hate you, but I promise you I won't. And I won't ever be scared of you."

Sohma hugs her back, still crying. A moment passes and he has calmed down a bit. He pulls away and asks, "why were you crying?"
"All the kids make fun of me for my eyes and teeth." She says, "they call me a monster because of it, so I ran away."
Sohma didn't notice how sharp her teeth were until she had said something. "I didn't notice that..." He mumbles, "but your eyes are so pretty. Why would you get made fun of for that?"
"Because I'm different." She replies.
"I know how you feel." Sohma says.
The conversation drifts off onto other tops like favorite food least favorite food. Simple, non crying stuff for the next two hours. When parents started showing up the the park is when they decided to go back home.
"Hey," (Y/n) said as the first family showed up at the park. "We're friends now, right?"
"Yeah." Sohma nods.
"Then when will you be here next time, so we can be friends?" She asks.
Sohma thinks for a moment but had an idea. He could get Kagura to come and that'll be his excuse. "I'll be here tomorrow, if that's okay..."
(Y/n) nods, picks up her bag and says a quick "bye!" before running off.
----
A few years have passed, (Y/n) and Kyo still meet up at that park on sunny days after school. Neither of them knows about each others curse, but both of them are still experiencing bulling. Kyo did tell (Y/n) a little bit about his past since he had to take her home one night.
All she knew was that his father was mean, his mother died a few months before they met and he knows life with a marshal arts teacher.
Why did she have to go home with Kyo one night you ask? It's simple actually, (Y/n) caves in and tells him about her parents. How they hate her just like everyone at school does, how they think she is a disgrace.
"They said they would kick me out if they could, just send me money to live somewhere." (Y/n) said, watching the sun go down from the swing set. It was a cool autumn afternoon, but too cool for anyone else to be there.
"So why don't you?" Kyo asks, "sounds like that may be your best option."
"Yeah but, they're still my parents and all..." She mumbles.
"Still, no parents should treat their kid like that and act like they have a justified reason too." He responds, "do you want to stay over at my place? There are plenty of rooms..." He offers, trying not to sound like a creepy boy. "It just sounds like you need a place to go and think. You know...?"
"Yeah..." She sighs and looks over at him, "I'll take you up on that offer."
Kazuma was surprised to see Kyo walking with someone home, "hello." He greeted them at the front door.
"Hello, my name's (Y/n)." She greeted back and bowed. "It's nice to meet you."
"Likewise, I am Kazuma, Kyo's marshal arts teacher." The man smiled looking, over at Kyo then back at (Y/n). "Will you be joining us for dinner?"
"She needs a place to stay the night, offered her to stay here the night. Is that okay?" He asks, "I'm sorry I didn't check with you first."
Kazuma smiles, "it's perfectly okay. After all this place has taken in many people from all backgrounds. You are welcome anytime (L/n)-san."

"Thank you very much." She replied.
"Come inside, dinner is just about finished." He said, walking back inside the building.
Dinner was full of small talk but no uncountable silence. Kazuma knew (Y/n) was under an intense amount of stress. He knew better than to ask why she was here or what her situation was. Kyo had mentioned her a couple of times before over the years, so it wasn't like he had to watch her every more either.
Kazuma had an extra room right next to Kyo's so he let (Y/n) stay there. "Thank so much for letting me stay here, I promise it won't happen again."
He shakes his head, putting a hand on her shoulder, "you are always welcome here."
That night Kyo and (Y/n) both had big decisions to think about. Kyo had been thinking about leaving this town and everyone behind to go train in the mountains. (Y/n) had the chance to leave her parents and live on her own. With their support but that's only until she can support herself.
They both couldn't sleep and decided to go to each other rooms. "Oh, hey." (Y/n) said as she saw Kyo emerging from him room. "I was just on my way to talk to you."
"Yeah same here." He chuckled. They met in the middle of their rooms and sat down on the floor. "You left your room first, so you have to go first."
"How is that fair?" (Y/n) smiles, just teasing him a little.
"Because whatever had to tell me is probably more important since you left faster than I did." He answered, "if that makes sense..."
"Alright then, I've decided to move away from my parents after this term is over." She said, "it's gonna be hard since I dunno how my parents will truly react but, I have to try and live a better life. And that life is one lived without them." She smiles softy, "your turn."
Kyo takes in a deep breath, "I'm going to leave this place, this family, this city, and train in the mountains. I have to get stronger and I won't do it by staying here."
Funny thing is, this was killing Kyo and (Y/n) because of one thing. Their mutual feelings for each other. Of course this was kept a secret stored deep in their hearts since neither of them wanted to take that chance and might ruin their friendship.
Kyo knew that he couldn't last in the mountains on his own, he needed someone there with him to keep him sane and from breaking down.
"Will you come with me?" He asks, "no pressure or anything. But I'd like you to be there by my side. After all I think you need me just as much as I need you..." He trails off not even looking at (Y/n).
"Okay." She replies and Kyo immediately looks at her, "when do we leave?"
----
It was now Kyo and (Y/n)'s second year in junior high. The Sohma's picked out a place in the middle of the woods where no one could find them. (Y/n) only agreed because it was the only place Kyo could be.
(Y/n) was going to the local junior high close to their shared apartment. Kyo was going to an all boys school in town, a good walk away from where they lived.
Kyo was always out training as soon as he got home, leaving all the house chores to (Y/n). Not that she mind, if she was working late at her part time job Kyo would fix dinner and clean for her. It was the other way around as well.
No letters ever came from the Sohma family but a few have come for (Y/n). Which was always a site to see since they never gave her money that way. In those letters were basically the same treatment she got at home.
"To summarizes, you will never be aloud back into our house. You cursed...child..." Kyo reads the last letter sent, "jeez that's a little harsh."
(Y/n) started to panic there for a bit but she was thankful he took it as an insult. Not that it was a good way of being insulted, but she wasn't ready to reveal her secret yet. "How is school going for you?" She changes the subject, platting the food they are having for dinner.
"Eh, it's better than being at home though. I don't get made fun of my hair much. They guys at this school are a lot more chill about things, I guess." He shrugs, "thank you for cooking tonight."
"You're welcome." She smiles and takes a seat at the table.
"Are you still getting made fun of?" He asks, taking a bite of his food.
"Well yeah." (Y/n) replied, "that wasn't gonna go away even if I left that place. But the people at my job are really nice. So I got that going for me." She smiles.
Kyo frowns, "you don't always have to smile when you're upset. You can let your guard down around me." He takes another bite, "what's been eating away at you?"
(Y/n) holds onto her utensil a little tighter, "nothing you need to concern yourself with. Besides you have to focus on getting stronger."
"Yeah sure but it's hard to focus on getting stronger when my roommate and personal chef is stressed out." He says softly, "please tell me what's going on."
"Please Kyo just drop it. Things will be like this forever, I can't change it." (Y/n)'s facial expression changes into something Kyo had never scene before. Sure he's watched her scream out in frustration and looked so depressed he wondered what was truly happening in her mind. And yet those two never mixed until now.
All Kyo knew to do was get (Y/n) to release her anger out, even if it was on him. He was in junior high after all, this was how he always coped with things.
"That's not true, your parents are bad people. Those other people at school don't know who you really are. They only see the outside of you-"
"And that's all anyone ever sees!" She screams, her fingernails started to grow. Her teeth getting sharper. "Even you Kyo! The person who knows me best always sees the outside of me!"
Frustrated tears start rolling down her face as she stands up. She if can't control her curse, she would have to make a run for it. "I'm a coward alright! I run and run but nothing ever gets better no matter how hard I try!" The hair on her arms starts to grow at an alarming rate. It's even scaring Kyo.
"Fine! My parents are right, okay! I'm nothing but a disgrace! I mean look at me!" She says, looking down at her hands that were now completely covered in fur, her arms following them rapidly.
"Nobody wants to have me in their life! I am a real life monster!" She stands walks over to the door as calmly as she can. "Please leave me alone for awhile." With that she exits the door. Kyo jumps out of his seat and runs after her.
"You're not a monster (Y/n)." He leans over the handrail to see where she was. Or rather how far she had gotten. "And to me, you anything but a disgrace. Your teeth are really cool and your hair is amazing."
(Y/n) looks up at him, then back at her hands. "Still I'm a monster no matter what."
Kyo jumps down and tackles her into a hug, "if you're a monster then that must make me a devil." He says, smiling. "Besides I can love a monster."
"Y-you-?"
"Yep." He replies, "I've loved you for some time now. And I hate seeing you like this, in a distressed state I mean. And yeah this may not have been the best time to confess but I don't know how else to make you smile again. Or try to-"
"I love you too." (Y/n) says as she slowly starts changing back into her more human state. "I have for some time now, being with you everyday has only made that love grow."
Kyo stands up and pulls her up, followed by engulfing her in a hug. "Come talk to me when you have something on your mind. I always have time for you."
"I will, thank you Kyo."

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

The Fate of The Summoned (being ReWritten)
The Fate of The Summoned In the world of Aethion things are vastly different than on Earth. There is Magic and Monsters, as well as Demons and Dragons. Throughout the history of the world there have been many wars, both between all the various nations and kingdoms and between those nations and kingdoms and the Demonic forces lead by a Demon King or Lord. There are times that the Demons gain so much more power than the other nations, or that the others are embroiled in a war against each other and the lone nation is targeted by the demons. It was during these occasions that the various Gods and Goddesses started giving two things to the races. The First of these things were the Blessings, magical blessings given to the worth for chosen things. The Second of these things were the Summoning rituals, magic rituals that could summon beings from somewhere else, that would be Chosen, by the gods. These beings have almost always come from our world, Earth. It has been centuries since this practice began and the countries of the world have almost always flourished for a time after a Chosen or group of them were Summoned. All of the countries treat the Summoned well, almost like kings or princes in their own right. Well, not all countries, there are some that have treated them almost like slaves, though those countries don’t usually last long. There is one though, that has lasted, for a long time due to their connection to their Patron Deity, the Goddess of Light. They only accept certain types of Summoned and they dote on certain members of the country more than others. Several years ago they performed a summoning, as they were being plagued by overflow from the dungeons. Now they, like the other countries of Aethion, have performed the ritual to fight against the current Demon King, who is said to possess a Blessing. This is a story about Fate, and those that fight against it and those who accept it. In this story the main character(s) do not fight their fate, like those in my other story, rather they embrace it and let it shape them, though that does not mean they are total slaves to it. While there will be similarities to most other Hero sumoning novels, i hope the Mcs abilities and such will make it unique.
