This was supposed to be a request but I backed out of all requests. But I decided to keep it since it was almost finished. So, requester if you are seeing this, hi!
"Ugh this is so not fair!" I said as I threw myself onto my bed.
"Just give (Y/n) a minute Kaminari." Mina said, sitting next to me. "We are supposed to be training right now anyway."
"That's what the teacher want us to do," the pillow muffled my voice. "We don't have to."
"Well then don't text (Y/n) when everyone is out training." The pink haired girl sighed but then quickly grabbed my wrist. "When did this happen!" She exclaimed staring down at the soulmate's mark.
"A couple months ago, it's not a big deal." I told her, sitting up.
"Do you know who you're soulmate is?" She asked, "do they know that you are their soulmate?" Her started talking faster, "do you know wheretheyare? Dotheyknowthatyouknowthattheyareyoursoulmate?"
(Translation: "Do they know that you know that they are your soulmate?"
I take both of my hands and put them on her shoulders. "Breath, Mina, breath. Yes, I know who my soulmate is. No, I do not know if they know it's me for sure. We haven't really talked about it..."
Her face lights up, "so then who is it?!"
My phone buzzes with a notification. It was a text message.
From: ❤︎My soulmate❤︎
- Hey! Sorry for the late reply, out training with the others. I need to take a quick shower before we can go, is that okay?
Mina quickly took my phone and read the message and her face lit up. "Do they go to our school?!"
"Yes now give me my phone back!" I replied, grabbing the phone out of her hand and moved to where she couldn't see what I was typing.

- Yeah of course that's okay! Just let me know when you're ready to go :)
"Sooooooooooo~" Mina dragged, "are you gonna tell me who it is or..."
"Haven't you figured it out by now?" I asked while covering my face with a pillow. "Use your detective skills."
I could hear her pouting in her voice, "yeah I do know but I want to know I'm right." She sighed, "can't you at least tell me about them?" She removed the pillow covering my face and gave me her signature puppy dog eyes.
I groaned, "yeah alright, alright. Where do I start..."
"At the beginning of course!" She smiled with a cheery look in her eyes.
"Well you know how they are good are just reading people? Like a person has a blank face but they can tell exactly what that person is thinking and it's just so incredible and amazing-"
"It's incredible that you said that sentence without taking a breath." Mina smiled, "but yeah I know what you're talking about."
"This was way back when we were doing the thing were Mr.Aizawa was measuring our quirk and what not." I said, "I did, decent while they did amazing. Almost at the top of the class and all! Anyway they saw me after that and I guess they saw the look on my face. Or something."
"Hey, Kaminari right?" They smiled.
"Yeah that's right. I'm surprised you remembered. And you're, uh..." I sort of stumbled over my words. "H-hold on I this..."
(Y/n) just smiled at as if she was cheering me on silently.
"(L/n)!" I said with a little too much enthusiasm but she just smiled and laughed a little. I would have laughed at me too honestly.

"Yep that's right!" They smiled, "your quirk is really cool by the way."
I was taken back by this. It was odd to just say that out of the blue, even though we're class mates. Still, I was happy. At this point in time I didn't have much control over my quirk. Hearing something positive about it gave me a little motivation.
"Thanks..." I mumbled, not really sure how to respond. They smiled and waved, "see you tomorrow."
"Yeah, see you." I replied and watched them walk away.
"Aw! That's so sweet!" Mina squealed, "so what are you guys gonna do tonight?"
"Well I figured I'd tell them I'm their soulmate." I replied, "after all they may not know it's me..."
"I meant like where are you gonna go?" She asks.
"Wherever the wind takes us." I said with a chuckle.
Mina frowns, "haven't thought about that yet huh?"
"Nope." I said, "now turn around or leave for a second. I'm gonna change into more casual clothes."
Mina sat in the corner with her head faced towards the wall. My phone buzzed, "hey Mina could you check my phone?" I asked and walked into the bathroom.
"Yeah sure," she replied. "It's from you-know-who asking where do you want to meet at?"
"Uh..." I said thinking, "downstairs should be fine."
"Okay it's sent." She said, "they replied with 'okay see you there' with a smiley face."
I walked out of the bathroom and Mina gave out a low whistle. "Man look at you," she said playfully. "You clean up nice."
"Oh shut up," I said shoving a pillow in her face. "It's no big deal."
Flopping back down on the bed, Mina has yet another look on her face. "What?" I ask, her grin intensifies. "Aren't you gonna tell me more about this mysterious soulmate of yours?"
"There really isn't anything else to tell. We became friends and hanged out with you guys. That's it." I replied, "why does that have to be it?" A pillow appeared on my face, even though Mina wasn't the one who placed it there.
She sighs and removes the pillow, "well your talking to them now aren't you? How did that happen?"
"We hung out with you guys. That's it."
"Then how did you exchange phone numbers?"
"You put everyone in a group chat, remember?"
Mina sat there with a blank expression on her face, "you really would be the type to fall for someone in an instant, aren't you?"
In a flash I was at the door holding it open, "leave."
She laughs and walks out, "gotta make sure you're early, right?"
My face twitched as I locked the door, "don't want to make the lovely soulmate wait~" Mina whispered before skipping down the hall.
(Y/n) arrived down stairs, also in causal clothing, after a few minutes. "Sorry for making you wait!"
"Oh, uh, no! Don't apologize! I had nothing better to do so..."
They smile at me, making my heart rate speed up a little more, "ready to go, soulmate?"
I was frozen for a second, "y-you knew?"
"You knew too?" They replied. "Well yay! That save us a conversation." I shook the frozenness off and we headed out the front door. "I was worried about how I was gonna tell you..."
"Yeah me too..." I replied, "but at least we get to skip the awkward introductions." I said with a dry laugh.
(Y/n) smiles back widely at me, "well then, soulmate, where are we headed off too?"

The book of forever
An experimental diary of sorts recounting my life and experiences, written as a slightly whimsical scifi story about setting off from the past to unknown lands, rebuilding from nothing and finding myself again. The first section of the book contains matched chapters, a chapter for a interlude, both happening at the same time roughly The second section of the book contains more one off stories as we follow one of the travelers explore their heart as well as a unknown land, growing in the process. All of the text here was written in 10 syllable chunks, this reads like a epic of sorts, just with more philosophical focus and POV jumps. Hope you enjoy! >Updates may be sporadic as I only write when I have something about myself I want to share The chapters can all be read individually, although there may be some crossovers between them they work as single poems. You start at whatever chapter you want since these are a collection of roughly connected poems (although you'll notice tie ins and references to eachother)
