Dunno if this has been done yet BUT

In this AU each character has one quote inside their head. Like a quote that they don't remember hear someone say or a famous person said. It's just sort of.... there.... I dunno how to explain it but you'll see!

Also when a person here's their quotes be said by their soulmate, they get an intense pain in their heart. Some say that you can even pass out.

Quotes were too long to put in the title so here they are:

"Who do you think you are"

"Hey! Quirkless!" A group of students shouted, "is it true you're going to apply to UA High School?"

Midoriya Izuku kept walking, his hands were shaking. "Ay! Answer us quirkless!"

(Y/n) runs up to Izuku, handing him a pair of headphones. Not saying a word, she raises her favorite finger to the group without missing a beat.

The group glares at her and "whispers", "what is she? His boyfriend?" "Yeah they must be soulmates" "Two losers, they must be"

But they weren't soulmates. They were friends, close friends. Izuku has never stood up for himself over the years. One day, a few years ago, (Y/n) had enough of it. She stood up infont of the whole class and told them off.

In the end, she ended up being a loser too. The friends she had stood by her at first but stop talking to her after a month went by.

Izuku has apologized over and over again because of the way their class treats her now. She always replied with, "if they want to be hero's, then they wouldn't pick on you. You'll be strong one day, Izuku. With or without a quirk."

They walk passed the group and into the school. "Thank you (Y/n)." Izuku smiles, "I'm sorry." He hands her back her headphones.

"Jeez when is it going to get threw your thick head already! Stop apologizing!" (Y/n) shouts, gently taking the headphones back. She was trying to get him to be more confident but didn't want to scare him too much. She thought that if she quickly took the headphones back that Izuku might have thought that she was mad at him.

"I'm-"

"Don't you dare apologize." She said in a serious voice as they started walking up the stairs to their classroom. Izuku stayed silent.

Two girls from another class practically shoved (Y/n) down the stairs. "Oops." They giggled, walking passed her watching to see if she would fall. She held onto the rail and turned around quickly to face them. They had their backs turned to her, she moves her arms and-

"Don't." Izuku whispered, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You know you'll get suspend if you do. They're not worth it anyway." How easy it would have been to put those girls in their place. Never the less, (Y/n) put her arms down and started walking to their classroom.

Please, for the love of superheroes, don't let Bakugo be here today. (Y/n) thought, for fucks sake don't let that brat be here today. I can't take much more of this....

(Y/n) opens the door to find no one was in there. "Thank goodness," she said and walks into the empty classroom. "Nobodies here yet."

"Looks like it's our turn to clean the room," Izuku said. Their teacher has always had a chart the calk board telling the class who's turn it is to clean the room. Even though it wasn't really fair, (Y/n) and Izuku always ended up cleaning it. Wether it was their turn or not. The teacher tried to make it so the other students would pitch in, but it was no use. Every student would give a lame excuse as to why they couldn't. In the end, (Y/n) and Izuku were given an apologetic look from their teacher.

"We should clean the windows first. I doubt that they could get dirty after just one day. That way we have less to clean after school." (Y/n) suggested, Izuku nods in response.

Izuku was a lot quieter today. He usually talks about the newest superhero that has made their grand entrance. "What's on your mind?" (Y/n) asks, handing him a bottle of window clean from the closest.

"What if my soulmate doesn't want to be my soulmate?"

"W-what do you mean? Their your soulmate, of course they would want to be your soulmate." She replied, "why would you think that?"

"Because I'm quirkless (Y/n)." Izuku said, cleaning the window with a paper towel. "Who would want to be with someone that doesn't have any sort of power..."

"Your soulmate." She replied, turning to face him. "Hey look at me," he does, "soulmates are the person you fall in love with and they fall in love with you. You're gonna have to except the fact that you'll be loved by someone."

Izuku smiles at her and right before he says something, explosion boy slides the door open.

"Well well it looks like the famous two losers are already practicing their careers." Bakugo smirks, walking over to Izuku. "It really is a shame you two extras aren't soulmates. Looks like you'll both ended up alone. After all who would love a quirkless boy and a loser girl." He scoffed.

"And who would be in love with a blonde porcupine boy with red demon eyes?" (Y/n) glares back, "they won't even love you for your personality. They'll just be in love with your quirk. Hell! They won't even love you for your looks!"

Remember how (Y/n) said that you're soulmate will love you no matter what? Well you'll only know if they truly are your soulmate if, and only if, you feel an extreme amount of heart pain. Some people never find their true soulmate. Never the less the world isn't as cruel as it seems.

You see some people give up on finding their true soulmates. Instead they find someone who says the right quote, just without the heart pain. Meaning that some people settle for someone who's in love with their looks or with their quirk. Someone who doesn't really, truly, love them for who they are.

While the person may say the right quote, the world is still more complicated than it seems. Telling someone that their soulmate won't love them for who they are is beyond low. Which is exactly why (Y/n) said it.

"Whatever you fucking bitch," Bakugo growled, picking her up by her shirt and lifting her off the ground. "Do you think I fucking care if someone loves me or not?!"

"Clearly you do other wise your feathers wouldn't be so ruffed." She said with a smirk, Izuku stood there in shock. He knew that (Y/n) could handle this on her own, but he really did look up to her.

Bakugo throws (Y/n) onto the ground and walks off in a huff. "Fuck this shit." He makes it over to the door just when the other students walk into the classroom.

(Y/n) quickly stands back up and shouts at him, "who do you think you are!"

Both of them stop in their tracks. (Y/n) and Bakugo clutch their school uniform where their heart is.

"What the hell?" One of the students says as a group of them enter the classroom. "Someone get a teacher!" Another one shouts.

The last thing (Y/n) saw was Izuku's concerned face and look of absolute shock on Bakugo's.

There was always a rumor about people who pass out from heart pain. No one really knew if it was true of not since this didn't happen very often. The static is, one in a million people will find their true soulmate. And it would be very, very painful.

Bakugo was the first to wake up. The pain in his heart was gone. He found hisself in the nurses office. He sits up and looks across the room. And there she was. His soulmate, his true soulmate. "Kind of ironic, huh?" Bakugo mumbles to himself, "the person who hates me is my soulmate."

"Of course I hate you." (Y/n) mumbled, sitting up. "You're such an asshole to everyone. You're so full of pride that it makes you an asshole. You're not above everyone!"

Bakugo smiles, pissing (Y/n) off even more. "And what's with that smile! Do you think this is funny or something!"

"I do actually." He responds.

"What on Earth makes you think this is funny?!"

"Because of the rumor. You know, the one about when two people find their soulmate." The nurse said, walking into the room. "I'm sure you've heard of it, right?"

"That's not why this is funny-"

"What rumor?" (Y/n) cut Bakugo off.

The nurse chuckled, "well when too people get such extreme amount of heart pain to the point where they pass out, it means that they are true soulmates. True soulmates love each other for who they are. Appearances, quirks and personalities."

"Yeah we know that already." Bakugo scoffed, "that doesn't make us different."

"Oh but it really does. It's so wonderful that you two found each other at such a young age, and in junior high! This is truly wonderful."

"No, it really isn't." (Y/n) mumbled.

"Come now dear don't be like that, after all you're going to be spending the rest of you life with him. You both passed out from heart pain, that means you are one day going to get married."

"What!?" (Y/n) shouts. "The hell?!" Bakugo yells.

"So you haven't heard that rumor." The nurse chuckles, "well you kids can head home whenever you like. School is over after all, the sun will start going down any minute now." With that, the school nurse leaves the room. Closing the door behind her.

"What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell. What the hell." (Y/n) mumbles over and over again.

"Jeez would you shut the fuck up." Bakugo snaps, "we don't have to do what the world says you know."

"But don't you want to be happy?" She asks, "I don't know about you but I want to be happy. I also don't want to take someone else's soulmate." She growls.

"You just said you hated me, that's not gonna change any time soon. You can't just stop hating me." Bakugo replied.

"You're right, I still hate you. But you must do something to make me stop hating you. And what about you, how are you going to fall in love with me when I hate you?"

"Well for starters, I don't hate you as much as you hate me."

"What-"

"Let me finish." Bakugo glares, "you fight back. I like that about you. You don't just cower in fear like the rest of these extras. You are still friends with Deku-"

"Izuku." She glared, cutting him off.

"And lost all of your friends because of it. I admire that. But your quirk isn't as strong as mine plus people are going to start talking now. Ugh those damn extras are never going to shut up now."

"Of course my quirk isn't as strong as yours, yet. People talk, let them talk. We won't see them after we get into UA High School."

Bakugo scoffed, "you're going to UA. Good luck with that." He stood up from the nurse's bed.

"Wow way to be supportive, future husband."

"Ugh don't even start with that." But then an idea popped into his head. "Give me your hand."

"What? Why?"

"Just do it." He said, holding out his hand. (Y/n) holds out her hand. "Now what?" Bakugo takes her and in his, intertwining their fingers. "My parents always talked about how they are true soulmates. My father always said that he knew it was true the moment my mother and him held hands for the first time. I always thought it was bullshit...."

"You're parents are true soulmates?" (Y/n) said in a surprised tone.

"Yeah they are. They met through mutual friends, the same day they met they found out they were true soulmates. My mother had doubts about the whole thing. Not wanting to settle down, she thought that it was just some stupid rumor and all that. So my father took her hand in his and they always told me that that's all it took. My mother and father didn't have any more doubts about wether they were true soulmates or not."

(Y/n) was amazed, Bakugo really wasn't such an asshole. He just told a story that wasn't about hisself, she just had a real conversation with him. The look in his eyes wasn't full of pride either! Maybe he could change.

"What about you?" He asked, "what kind of soulmates are your parents."

"They aren't true soulmates, if that's what your asking. My mother and father married for each others quirk, but it was on their own terms. They get alone just fine, but they aren't attracted to each other."

A moment of silence passes, they are still holding hands. "So, do you still have doubts about us being soulmates?" He asked her.

"How can you tell just by holding hands? I mean I know we just experienced major heart pain but that's just a rumor, you know? I mean it worked for your parents but I don't think it's working for us..." (Y/n) trailed off, "I'm sorry..."

"Well, uh, what if we, umm..." Bakugo tried to say, his face started to turn pink. "Kissed..." He looks away, trying to find his face but still didn't let go of her hand.

"W-w-wh-what?" She stuttered, facing turning pink as well. "Do-do you know how to, umm, kiss?"

"N-no of course not! How hard can it be you just touch lips right?"

"'Touch lips'?" (Y/n) laughed.

"How would you describe kiss-"

(Y/n) then 'touched lips' with Bakugo. Or she tried to at least, Bakugo as a little too tall.

Bakugo chuckles, "you're too short."

"Fuck off, this was your idea. Just bend down a little."

He shakes his head, let's go of her hand. "That's too simple." He picks her up by her waist, "this is more our style." And kisses her. She rests her hands on his shoulders, deepening the kiss.

That was all it took. Bakugo proved that he wasn't always such an asshole. (Y/n)'s quirk would grow stronger over time, she was already finding ways to improve her body and quirk.

When they break away, "all you had to do was barely tilt your head down, you know." (Y/n) smiled.

"Now why would I do that? All those extras are too simple like that. After all now I can look directly into your eyes."

"Wow, someone is trying to flirt~"

"You may be my soulmate but I will still drop you."

She chuckles and leans in for another kiss. "Guess you're not always just an asshole," she whispers and kisses him again. "And you're eyes don't look like a demon..."

Bakugo smiles, "why thank you very much." (Y/n) chuckles and shakes her head. "Are you going to put me down now?"

"Not yet, you have such beautiful eyes. Maybe after one more kiss..." he mumbles and kisses her again. "Maybe another..." They kiss again. "Just one more..." (Y/n) covers his face with her hand. "Come on, we got to go. The sun is already setting."

He sighed, and sat her back down. "Let me guess, no more doubts?"

"Yeah, but you really like kissing. Never would have thought." She teased.

"Tch, fuck off." He said, walking away.

"Oh come on, you can't be an asshole now." (Y/n) said, taking his hand in hers.

They held hands until they reached the door, "do you want do this?" (Y/n) asked him, "I don't have any doubts, but do you?"

"I always thought that something about you was different, before today I mean. So no, I don't have any doubts."

"Okay then do you want to date now or become friends first?"

"(Y/n) we just kissed-"

"Yeah I know, I know but you don't seem like you want to date date. If that makes sense."

"And you're right, we're in junior high for fucks stake. I'm guess you don't want to date date either?"

"It just seems weird to just start dating because we're soulmates. Shouldn't we at least like each other for our personalities first? You know, the ones that aren't behind closed doors?"

"So, high school? These people still think I'm an asshole, your words not mine, after all."

"And everyone still thinks I'm a loser, your words not mine. I don't want to hurt your pride or anything."

"Then we're soulmates that aren't dating until high school?"

"Yeah, but here you can have my phone number at least."

They exchange phone numbers and went their separate ways. But not before Bakugo got one last kiss.

This got out of hand really out of hand huh. Ended up spending half my day writing this instead of studying for my exam in two days. Oops. It'll be okay they'll are my best subjects. So like I really hope you guys like this.

As you can tell, I love Bakugo a little too much. I didn't mean to write this, I was going to write another one shot that way people who haven't watched My Hero Academia can have a one shot (does that make sense) but uh, I like how this one turned out so I'm just going to post it and then go study.
