"Madara!" The young (Y/n) shouts at the top of her lungs to get the boys attention. She runs over to him with her brother, Hashirama, trailing behind her.
Madara smiles and waves back, "hey guys. Thought you weren't coming today."
"Yeah well we have some time to spare." (Y/n) smiled, "you said you weren't coming today as well, Madara."
He rolled his eyes, "whatever," and tossed a stone over the lake.
"You missed us," Hashirama shoved Madara, "you just have too much pride to admit it."
(Y/n) giggled and shoved Madara as well, "yeah what he said."
Madara rolled his eyes again.
"Trying to act all tuff on us?" (Y/n) said and pinched his cheek, "come on Madara! We came to see you today!"
He swatted her hand away and the brother laughed. "It's not like I asked you to be here." He mumbled, "maybe I wanted to be alone for once."
"If you wanted to be alone, why did you come to our hang out spot?" Hashirama asked his friend. "You would've chosen a different spot."
"Yeah!" (Y/n) cheered, skipping a rock across the lake. "I doubt that you can even make it across the lake!"
Madara glared, "I can too!" He picks up a rock and tries skipping it across the lake. It spots in the middle of the lake.
Hashirama sniffles a laugh, "that was good." He said and picked up a rock and skipped it to the other side of the lake. "But you're no match for us." (Y/n) and her brother high fived with Madara glared at them.
"I will make it across the lake!" Madara declared, "you just have to wait and see!"
The siblings smiled, "we have to head back now." Hashirama said and ruffled his friends hair.

"We didn't have much time to spare but we wanted to see you today." (Y/n) smiled and they waved to Marada as they walked away.
Once they siblings were out of sight, "this sucks." Marada mumbled. "They're always busy now. Thought I actually had some friends. Guess not." He picked up a stone and tried to skip it across the lake. The rock splashed and began to sink to the bottom of the lake.
The sun was starting to set on another day, another day of war. Madara sighed and began to walk back to his house. He didn't know (Y/n) heard what he had said. He wasn't able to see her in tucked behind the trees.
----
A week passes by and Madara hasn't shown up at the hang out spot. "Maybe he's just really busy?" (Y/n) said, looking at her brother.
"Or war has made him forget about us. I will not wait around for someone who doesn't want to see me." Hashirama said in a cold tone.
"But Hashirama it's only been a week! Shouldn't we give him more time?" The sister pleaded, "he is our only friend!
"You can wait for him. You don't understand how a boy thinks after all. You're too young to understand after all." He said coldly and walked back to their house.
(Y/n) glared at the back of his head and stayed put. "Madara will show up. He wouldn't leave us without a good reason."
She stayed true to her word. A month passed, she waited for him at the lake. Another months passes and she still looks for him every chance she has.
Almost three months have gone by and (Y/n) has stayed true to her word.
"Still waiting for him?" Hashirama snickered, "he isn't coming (Y/n). Stop wasting your time."
"He will show up again! Don't be mad because you gave up hope and I haven't." She slammed the door and started walking to the lake.

She found the person she had been waiting for waiting for her to show up. Her face lights up with excitement, she rushes over to him. "Madara!" She calls out, "Madara!"
He turns around with a frown placed on his lips. That same frown changes to a smile in a blink of an eye. He waves over to her. "Hey!"
(Y/n) tackles him in a hug, knocking him to the ground. She is a giggling mess but she is young after all. "I've missed you so much!"
"C....can't.....breath...." Madara chokes out and (Y/n) can barley hear him.
"Sorry, what was that?" She asked, looking at his face.
"Move.......... please....." He choked out and nudges her off of him.
She gets the message and quickness gets off of him. "I'm so sorry!" She bows, "I didn't mean to hurt you. I was so excited to see you and-"
"Hey hey hey, it's okay." He says, pulling her into a hug. "I'm excited to see you too. Thought you wouldn't be here. I did leave you guys after all..." He trailed off.
"None of that matters," the sister pulled away and flashed a smile at Madara. "What matters is that you're safe and here now. So did you learn how to skip a rock across the lake yet?"
Madara gives her a blank face, "really? You haven't seen me in almost three months and that's the first thing you ask?"
"Whatever happened while you away doesn't matter to me. That's your business, not mine. You accepted my challenge so now you have to do it." (Y/n) smiled, "after all I can still skip across the lake." She picks up a rock, and skipped it across the lake.
Madara smiles and picks up a rock, and skips it across the lake. It doesn't even reach the middle. "Geez, I don't think I'll be able to do it." He sighs.
"Yes you can!" (Y/n) cheered, picking up a stone and placing it in his hand. "See just like this." She moves around him, her and in his. She bends his arm, "now you should be able to make it go across the lake."
Madara blushes and nods. (Y/n) lets go of his hand and takes a few steps away from him. "What are you waiting for?"
"Wanted to make sure I wouldn't hit you on accident." He mumbled and then skipped the rock. It landed across the lake and the two jump up. "I did it!"
"Yeah you did!" (Y/n) cheered, "good job!"
Madara hugged the girl and they did a weird hugging while jumping in a circle thing. They send the rest of the day skipping rocks and catching up on what has happened the passed three months.
As the sun started to set, the two friends decided to take a break. Running around for hours and yelling, they needed to take a break before walking back to their own houses. Madara placed his hand on top of (Y/n)'s.
"What are you doing?" She asked him.
"My face started to heat up when you touched my hand. I was trying to see if it would happen again?" He mumbled.
"Well your face will be reed no matter what. We were running around and yelling all day after all." She said, "but is it?"
"Yeah, is yours?" He replied.
"I think so. That's weird though." (Y/n) laughed.
"Yeah it really is." He replied and smiled at her.
The two sat in silence until the sun went down, holding hands the whole time.
