"Ready (Y/n)?" My teammate, Tatsu, asked.
"Born ready." I replied, smiling her in the direction her voice came from. "Kazumi are you ready?"
"Of course," she said in a cool tone, "we tried for years just to have a chance of being here. There better not being anyone who cheats."
Tatsu laughed, "how can you even cheat at something like this? Sure technology have evolved but it would be stupid to use something like that here. After all this is to show who strong and smart a ninja is."
"So you did pay attention during school." Kazumi teased. I guess she pinched her cheeks cause Tatsu slapped her hand away.
"Jeez I'm not that dumb you know!" Tatsu yelled making Kazumi and I laugh.
"We know you're not dumb, Tatsu. Just a little hotheaded from time to time." I said and she grabbed my hand, squeezing it.
This is what my teammates do when they are smiling at me. Since I can't see them smiling at me, they tell me through touch. It would be weird if they said "I'm smiling at you" and kind of creepy.
"We have all come a long way. (Y/n) uses Earth Release instead of throwing weapons around the room. Tatsu can now climb trees and wall without rope."
"Finally!" Tatsu shouts, "that took forever to master.
"And I found my friends for life." Kazumi said, squeezing my hand.
"Awww!" Tatsu and I pulled her in for a hug.
"You guys are like my real family." Kazumi whispered.
"We are you're family. Don't you ever forget that." I said, and we all hugged a little tighter.
Tatsu was the first one to get go, "come one we're going to be late."
I nodded my head and Kazumi let go of my hand.

Once we reached the Hidden Leaf Village, we went straight to a place that had food. Which turned out to be a burger joint that also had vegan options. "We should have enough time to stop here." Kazumi said. "I'll them your orders, go find a booth or a place to sit down."
Tatsu squeezed my hand before walking around to find a booth. "They must be here for the exam too." A person said as we passed by. "They don't look too strong." Another person said from the same booth.
"Ignore them," Tatsu whispered, "we'll show them during the exam tomorrow." I nodded my head and we sat down in a booth, waiting for Kazumi.
----
"Rise and shine!" Tatsu shouted, pulling back the certain to shine the light in Kazumi face. She then came over to shake me awake. "Wake it! It's exam day!"
Kazumi groaned, she's deferentially not a morning person. "We're up Tatsu, now calm down we got enough time to get ready before the exam starts."
"I know that but I can't help it! We're finally here after years of training!" Tatsu shouts, I roll out of bed but made sure not to roll off the bed. Grabbing one of the pillows, I threw it in the direction Tatsu was in. With her voice, anyone can find her even if you can't see.
"(Y/n)! What has that for!" She shouts and Kazumi was laughing. I will take that as a hit.
"You wouldn't be quite so shout into that pillow." I replied, walking over to where my stuff is before getting changed. We have a rule where no one looks when someone else was changing.
"Let's all get ready for the day." Kazumi says, "after all one of us is already fired up about the exam."

"Of course I am!" Tatsu shouts, "we get to battle in an arena! This is going to be awesome!"
----
"Is it still awesome?" I asked Tatsu as she walks back from her defeat.
"Shut up, and yes it was. At least we all made it to the second round." Tatsu mumbled, "let's just watch and see who's up next."
"It looks like a girl from the Hidden Leaf." Kazumi told me, squeezing my hand.
"Go Sarada!" A boy's voice shouted.
"Since when are you supportive of her, Boruto."
"It's that guy yesterday that said we look weak." Tatsu growled. "Maybe (Y/n) will go against him and show him who's stronger."
"You can count on me." I said and they both squeezed my hand. "I'll take down Boruto, if I have the chance that is."
"And the winner is Sarada!" The announcer shouted, making the crowd go wild. "Next up is Boruto Uzumaki and (Y/n) (L/n)!"
"Show him who's the strongest!" Tatsu cheered, squeezing my hand before letting it go.
"You're strong, he can only win if he cheats. Remember that." Kazumi said, squeezing my hand before I walked down to the arena.
----
What Kazumi said rang out in my mind has I had been defeated. Boruto used a smokescreen and then a wind attack came out of no where. I smiled at him, walking over to him and shook his hand. "Congrats. I hope you win this thing."
"Uh, thanks?" He replied. I nodded and walked back to the staircase. My teammates where waiting for me.
"Why aren't you upset?" Tatsu asked, "you just lost.
"Dunno, I'm just not." I replied.
"(Y/n), this is Shikadai," Said Kazumi who picked up my hand and placed it in his. "He is Boruto's friend."
"I'm sorry about this, Boruto has been acting weird since before the exam started. His father is out there right now talking to him." Shikadai told me and I removed my hand from his.
"I'm beat, see you guys back at the room." I said and walked off without letting them respond.
As soon as I got back to room and closed the door, someone knocked on it. There wasn't a peep hole so I had to open the door.
"Hi." A voice said.
"Who are you?" I asked even though they sounded familiar.
"Boruto, the guy who cheated during your match. I'm just here to say I'm sorry, you should have won that match. I freaked out since you were about to win and used a ninja tool. They are not allowed during the exam and...."
"Hey don't worry about it, it's all good. We will just have to have a rematch sometime." I said with a smile, "just don't cheat again, okay? You may end up getting killed because of that."
"Wait, you're not mad?"
"Yes I'm mad but there's no point of stay mad. It's best to live and let go."
"Can I make it to you? How about we go get some food, I'll pay?" He asked.
"You will regret saying that." I replied which made Boruto laugh.

Far Strider
A college student finds himself transported into a strange land with burgeoning magical powers, and is taken in by Ned Stark. Will he sink or swim in this medieval society, and will he ever get home? ====================== OC-insert without knowledge of Game of Thrones, new planeswalker. Slow power ramp. Second crossover: Star Wars (around chapter 39). ======================= As a note, I started this as a speed writing challenge to myself. The challenge was successful, and I managed 100,000+ words (as well as some character sheets in excel and such) over 10.5 days. Then I had to stop and let my hands recover from their burgeoning carpal tunnel syndrome. The story currently stands at around 150,000 words (or ~550 RRL pages) over 54 chapters; expect a chapter a day until I've caught up with the backlog. The focus of this story was not quality writing, and that hasn't changed. I mostly use it as my semi-guilty "I need to write something, but am not focused enough to write something good" story. Expect self-indulgent writing in general, and a bit of OP (or, well, more than just a bit if we're being honest), especially later in the story as the protagonist matures into a more full-blown Planeswalker. But if you're looking for something with a power-ramping protagonist romping around the place, something you'd be a bit embarrassed to admit liking (I know I am) but like anyways (and come on, this is RRL, so that probably describes just about everyone here who actually has shame), then this may be a nice bit of mental junk food for you.
