《Anime One Shots Book 1》Shikadai X Shy! Reader (Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) {Scared?}

"Come on (Y/n) it's not even that scary." Shikadai insisted, "I'll be here the whole time."
"Y-yeah but..." I mumbled over my words, not being able to form them.
"It's just a video game, there's nothing to be worried about." He insisted, "seriously it's not the scary."
Shikadai turned off the lights and started up the game. We were using my PS4 to play whatever game Shikadai has been in love with for the passed month. Don't get me wrong, I love video games too. Just not the scary ones.
"This game is very easy to play, don't die." He said with a smile, sitting next to me on the couch.
"B-but what h-happens if I d-die?" I asked, "d-do I r-respond right away?"
Shikadai laughs, "you'll see." He passes me the controller, "by the way, it's not a 'spam x' to win type of game. Good luck." He pats me on the back, then sits back to watch me get scared.
As the opening of the game started up, I could tell Shikadai was already trying to freak me out. He would slowly rube my back and say "there is nothing to worry about" in a slow voice.
Deciding to play on easy mode, Shikadai scoffed at me. "Come on (Y/n) it's not that scary."
I looked over my shoulder to glare at him before turning my attention back to the game. It wasn't a normal scary game type feel. The player is placed in a small town and has to get ready for school.
"Guess you're r-right," I said as I moved the player over to go out their bedroom door. "This game isn't scary a-af-" of course a jump scared happened and then screen went black. I jumped back, landing on Shikadai's arm.

He laughs, "come on now, it wasn't that scary."
"W-W-W-What w-w-was t-t-that?" I managed to say but in a very shaky voice.
"Dunno, you'll have to wait and see." He said with a wink, "just start up the game again. Since you didn't make it to a save point you will have to start all over again."
I glared over at him, but started up the game anyway. There's no way he would ever stop teasing me if I didn't. I could just hear it now, "(Y/n) couldn't even get passed the first level! Hahahahahah!" Shaking off that thought, I started the game up again and made sure to look around the room before moving the player.
"Jeez would you hurry up already," Shikadai grumbled, "it's not that hard."
Checking the room one last time, I saw what I had to do. Looking over at Shikadai one last time, I went over to the bedroom window to look outside. For a video game, it looks pretty good, the graphics anyway. It made the whole house appear to be floating. Moving the player back to the bedroom door, I opened it up and made a mad dash for the front door.
I didn't find it, another jumped scare happened so I made sure to cover my eyes. Shikadai didn't laugh this time, "looks like you've played this before. How did you know to run passed them?" He asked, moving my hands away from my face.
"T-There wasn't a-another choice. T-The...thing.... d-din't come t-towards the p-player, see?" I said, hands started to shake.
Shikadai wraps his arm around me, "so what's next? You still have to go to school, right?"
"Y-yeah..." I mumbled making the player move out the front door of the house. The game now looked like your typical scary movie. Music box playing in the back ground while children laughed made up the sound as fog moved across the screen. Blood on the sidewalks and no one else was around.

When the player arrived at school, it was an old closed down hospital. Does Shikadai really play these types of games? Walking into the front gate, after making sure to save at the save point, it was covered in scratch marks and blood. Nothing scary about that except for the laughing children seemed to be getting louder.
At point, it was time to give Shikadai what he wanted. He wanted to scary me so I would go running into his arms. He knows I'm not a "touchy feely" type person. Sarada heard from Boruto that Shikadai was more of a "touchy feely" person. More than he will even admit to me.
When the player opens the front door to the hospital, finding a group of small children playing a board game. I move the joy stick around, but the player doesn't move. Then I tried pressing every button, but nothing happens.
The children slowly turn their heads towards me, blood coming out from their eyes. A jump scare appeared on screen and I jumped back, coving my eyes. The controller fell from my hands and onto the floor.
Shikadai chuckled, "it's just a game. Come here." He wrapped his arms around me as I shook with fear.
"N-never a-agin." I mumbled, "h-happy n-n-now?"
"I'm always happy when I'm with you. You just don't like to be held, but I wanted to hold you. So I thought that this was the only way. I know it's selfish but I'm crazy about you. Now you know that I'm here for you no matter what." He whispered, kissing the top of my head. "You don't have to play anymore. We can just go to sleep now."
"Y-you think t-that I-I'm sl-sleeping a-after this?" I asked, shaking my head and he held me tighter.
"Nothing will hurt you, I promise."

Rise of a Scarlet Devil (Regular+Draft Version)
A young girl slain during a war was brought back to life by some unknown force millennia later. She could only remember a vague face within her memories, uncertain as to who it was but there was one thing she did know. She needed to kill that person. But she was too weak, she needed to hide, to grow. She needed to flee from the battlefield her enemy reigns over. And to do so, she needed to run eastward, towards Helios, a safe haven for those who have lost their homes in the war. And where she would grow to become the strongest Hunter under her own strength. What was it that brought her back? Only time will tell. #Author's Note The novel is organized like this:Regular Chapters (Act, Title, Part (ranging from 1 to 9))Draft Chapter DisclaimerDraft Chapters (Entry Number, Perspective, Title, Part (ranging from i to ii)) Regular chapters are edited chapters that reflect the story aspect more while Draft chapters reflect plot progression more. An occasional interactive chapter will appear in the drafts but nowhere in the regular chapters. Expect changes when reading between Regular and Draft chapters as some events in the story may change in length or entirely removed/changed. Only read the draft version if you want a future view and/or opinion on the story and design elements. The main character is a human from a fantasy world reincarnated as a devil. The story possesses Reincarnators, Transmigrators, and Summoned Persons. though mainly focusing on Magic and other abilities such as Aura and Skills. Wizards (those who prepare arcane spells) and Mages (those who use elemental magic) are separate but seen as the same by common inhabitants of the world but clearly defined as different by more influential persons and by the circles themselves. The main character WILL not be a Mage or Wizard but will incorporate mana into her attacks to aid her as does any high-rank combatants. The system in the novel quantifies a person's abilities and keeps record of them but does not define natural ability, occasionally granting special abilities as skills to a person once prerequisites are met. There is no leveling system and no occupational systems in the novel featuring only a stat based and skill based system. Also, this novel is my first and will most likely be trash.
