This is a request!

During every lunch time or ninja training, Neji and (Y/n) were known for being the academy loners. (Y/n) Uchiha and Neji Huyga have been introduced a few times due to their clans. Since they were so young, it took some time for them to become friends. Both being not fond of socializing, this process took even longer.

In fact, they have an arrangement for them to be married.

"Well Neji doesn't seem to be a people person either." The Huyga clan leader laughs, putting his hand on the young boys shoulder.

"Looks like these two will be loners for most of their lifes." The Uchiha clan leader laughed, "hopefully they will grow out of it."

"It would be a shame if they didn't, which is why I came here." Said the Huyga clan leader. He took Neji over to the Uchiha training grounds, right next to a large garden flowers. The garden was filled with the same type of flowers, (favorite flower), symbolizing the lost Uchiha members. "I wanted to make a deal with you."

"A deal? With the children?" The Uchiha leader said in a surprised tone.

"Yes, I know our clans haven't been getting along very well lately. So what if we arrange Neji and (Y/n) to be married. By agreeing to this, it would help ease the tension with our clans. What do you say?" The Huyga leader explains. "Do we have a deal?" He sticks out his hand for the other clan leader to shake.

The Uchiha leader was put in a corner, it was true about the two clans. This action may help with the tension and the children are already loners at a very young age. Maybe this would be good for both the kids and the clan. Both clan leaders shake hands, "we have a deal."

"(Y/n)!" Sasuke shouts and runs over to his older sister. "Are we going to train?"

The girl nods, not saying a word. The siblings walk out of the ninja academy. On their walk to the clans training grounds, they pass by Neji Huyga. (Y/n) and Neji look at each other and nod without stopping.

"What was that about?" Sasuke asked, "isn't that boy in our class?"

"Guess no one has told you yet..." (Y/n) mumbled without thinking about it.

"Told me what?" Her little brother asked, "why won't you tell me anything? It's just the two of us."

The older sister looked around them, seeing all the people that could be over hearing their conversation. "We'll tell you later on tonight, just focus on your training." Sasuke pouts and nods his head.

"What!? You're getting married!?" Sasuke shouts but is father gives him a glare, telling his to lower his voice. "When did this happen?"

"A few years ago," his mother answered, "we wanted to tell you but you were too young."

"You can not let this information leave this room. Got it?" The siblings father said in a demanding voice, "Itachi knows about it but no one outside of our clan and the Huyga clan knows. We intend on keeping it that way."

"Yes father." (Y/n) and Sasuke said before cleaning up the table and heading off to wash the dishes.

As Sasuke and (Y/n) are washing dishes and their parents are outside. "Why are you getting married?" The little brother asks.

"Because I have too." (Y/n) replies, "it's for the sake of the clan."

"Who is it? Who are you getting married to?" Sasuke asks, putting away the dried dishes as they are finished washing everything.

"Neji, the boy we passed by on our way to training." (Y/n) said with a sigh, "they said that-"

"Who's they?" Asked the little brother.

"Our clan leader and the Huyga clan leader." The older sister replies, "they think that because we are both anti-social that we would not ever get married. At least that's what they said. This marriage should also help with our clans not fighting. Sure it's and over used concept but it's not like Neji and I can do anything about it."

Sasuke frowns, "do you think it will really help us?"

"I hope so," (Y/n) says with a forced smile, "but that's enough questions for today. We better get to bed before father yells at us."

Even though no one outside of the two calls knew about that arranged marriage, that didn't stop weird stuff from happening to Neji and (Y/n).

Like they were always partnered up when it was time to throw ninja stars or spare. All it really did was make things awkward for them. As time went by, the two began to slowly open up to each other. They were going to be married after all.

One day, a week before school would end and teams were to be announced, Neji and (Y/n) decided to speak to each other outside of school. Since both of them are both anti-social, it was weird for them to hang out.

They were sitting at a tea shop near one of the larger windows, waiting for their tea to be made. "So umm," (Y/n) started off, trying to get Neji's attention, "how are things?"

"What do you mean by that?" He asks without hesitation.

"You know like with school or with ninja training?" (Y/n) laughs nervously.

"Oh, everything is fine. The usual clan stuff. How about you?" Neji replies, looking around for the person to come pour their tea.

"Same here, Sasuke seems to be very popular with everyone." She nods, not knowing what else to say.

"Do you come here often?" He asks.

"It's my first time coming here, I pass by this place almost every day though..." (Y/n) trailed off when the shop keeper came by with a pot of tea.

"I'm so sorry for the wait, dears." The older shop keeper said, pouring the tea. "I hope you like it." They smiled and walked off.

Neji and (Y/n) took a sip of tea, "not bad." Neji said and (Y/n) nods in agreement.

After a few moments of silence and staring out the window, the two finish their tea, looking for a way to get out of the shop.

Neji nods his head towards the door trying to say "ready to do" without saying it out loud. (Y/n) nods again, leaving the money on the table to avoid talking with the shop keeper.

The two quickly walk out of the shop while the shop keeper wasn't looking.

"See you later." (Y/n) waves without thinking.

Neji smiles, "see you."

From that point on Neji and (Y/n) made an effort to say something to each other at least once a day. Wether it was a quick "good morning" before class started or "hi" when they saw each other around the village.

Finally, it was time for the teams to be announced.

"They better not put me with Naruto." Sasuke grumbled on the walk to the academy with his older sister. "Anyone but Naruto..."

(Y/n) sniffles a laugh and doesn't say anything.

"Everyone please take your seats!" The teacher called. Once every was in their seats, "as you know we will be announcing the teams you will be going on missions with. These teams will not be changed unless one member dies or disappears. Is that clear!"

"Yes." The class grumbled, already bored.

"First up is Ino Yamanaka, Choji Akimichi and Shikamaru Nara." The three said nothing and weren't shocked that they were put together.

"Next is Hinata Huyga, Shino Aburame and Kiba Inuzuka." Kiba cheered out of excitement because he was on a team while Hinata looked like she wanted to hide.

"The we have Naruto Uzamki, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha." Everyone knew that team would turn out to be a special one and felt bad for all the members.

"Lastly, Rock Lee, Neji Huyga and (Y/n) Uchiha. Good luck to all the teams." The teacher said and walked out of the room quickly.

Once again, fate had some how managed to bring (Y/n) and Neji closer together. Even with Rock Lee and Might Guy, Neji and (Y/n) some how stayed anti-social but still open to each other.

About three months since teams have been announced, Neji and (Y/n) were the only ones who showed up for one of the missions. Of course it was the one that involved talking to people the most.

"Looks like we will have to do this on our own." Neji sighed and began walking to the other side of the village.

"At least it won't be so bad, right? It's just a few simple hours. We can do it no problem." (Y/n) said, trying t o be more positive.

"Look who's trying to look on the bright side." He smiled, "let's just get this done as quickly as possible, if you don't mind."

"I don't mind at all." She smiled back and they began their mission for the day.

The mission ended up taking all day long until the sun was set, "sorry it took so long." Neji said to the older couple as (Y/n) headed them their food for the week. "I'm so sorry we didn't get here faster."

"You better be!" The man said and slammed the door.

The two sighed and started walking home, "well at least it's over now." (Y/n) said with a very forced smile.

"And it wasn't too hard just very time consuming." Neji added, "see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah," she nodded, "see you then."

"Sasuke?" (Y/n) called from their house, getting home very late was never a good thing. "Mother! Father!" She called out again.

"(Y/n)! Help!" Sasuke shouted in pain, "help us!"

"Don't come near us!" Itachi shouted, "stay back!" The sound of metal clashing was heard in the Uchiha siblings house. "I said stay back!" The oldest brother shouted again.

Sasuke came running out of the house, grabbing his sister's hand. "We have to go, Itachi said to run. He'll hold him off.

"What do you mean?" (Y/n) said, running with her little brother's hand holding onto hers.

"There is a man trying to kill us. Itachi is fighting him right now." Sasuke explained and they ran into the woods where no one would be able to find him. They were running to a place deep in the woods that only the Uchiha siblings know about.

Itachi came to the place in the woods with cuts and scraps covering his body. "The man got away but I know one thing, he's a Huyga. He said 'this is what you get for taking Neji away from me'. Does he mean the man you are supposed to marry?" He asked the sister.

She nods, "yes. Where is mother and father?"

"They're gone, along with everyone else in our clan. I'm sorry." The older brother held his younger siblings close. "I'm sorry."

Turns out, Neji and (Y/n) were still in an arranged marriage even after her clan was almost completely dead. Sasuke and Itachi were training while Neji's father killed everyone in the Uchiha clan. Neji's father was taken away because of what he did.

(Y/n) never talked about what happened that night. That is until she couldn't take it anymore. A year after being married to Neji, she finally broke down.

What started out as a small fight after a long day turned into something needing to be let out years ago.

"You're the reason why everyone but my brothers are gone! Your father killed them! How can. I. even look at you, knowing you're the reason!" (Y/n) shouted at Neji, "why did he kill them?"

"I don't know." Neji said calmly, "I wish I had the answer." He moved over to hold her, but she moved away from him.

"No, you must have the answer! Tell me!" She yelled, tearing streaming down her face.

"(Y/n) I don't, you have to believe me. I would have told you that next day if I knew why." He tried to reason her, "please let it all out." He wrapped his arms around her.

Even when she started to push him away, he never let go. "I really do love you, (Y/n). I don't care if this was arranged or not. I love you and that's all that matters. Sure my father did an awful thing but I don't know why. Maybe I was the reason, like Itachi said. But I will never know why I was the reason. I love you."

This helped calm (Y/n) down, she holds his close, "I love you too."
