"So it's your last night," Mirajane said as she poured me a glass of water. "What are you doing here?"

"Can't I hang out with my friend with she's working?" (Y/n) snapped but didn't give Mirajane a chance to reply. "Is that a crime now!?"

Mirajane gives them a sad smile, "so you're not taking this very well."

"I am taking this very well thank you." (Y/n) drinks the shot of water, "hit me." They slide the shot glass back over to Mirajane.

"Drinks shots of water isn't going to help." Mirajane sighs, pouring them another shot and slides it back over to her.

"Even if this was alcohol it wouldn't help." They drink the shot, "getting drunk will only make things worse."

"Then go home (Y/n). Go see him," Mirajane takes the glass away from them. "He must be wondering where you are by now."

(Y/n) scoffs, "yeah right. I bet he wouldn't miss me."

"Cut the act already!" A voice boomed from the front doors. Mirajane smiled once she saw who it was. "You can't fool her, she already knows." Laxus puts his hands on (Y/n)'s shoulders, making them turn around to face him.

Laxus leans down and kissed (Y/n) and pulls away quickly. "Come on, it's about time you come home." (Y/n), still shocked by his actions, is taken away by Laxus holding their hand. "See you." Laxus waved to Mirajane who waved back and said, "bye lovers!"

"What was that all about?" (Y/n) asked the tall mage. "It isn't like you to do something like that."

"And what were you doing at the guild? This is our last night together you know." Laxus huffed, "I thought we agreed to hang out."

"When I came back from my job I didn't see you here, so I went to hang out with Mirajane for awhile until you got back." (Y/n) replied in a harsh tone. "Where were you at?"

Laxus points to the bag resting on the kitchen counter, "picking up (favorite sweet) from the small bakery across town. Looks like being nice isn't good enough for you."

(Y/n) was taken back by this, Laxus would never do something like this. Then again maybe he had changed. For a moment at least.

"I'm sorry." (Y/n) said in a hurry, "I'm so so so so sorry. Let's not waste anymore time with excuses. Do you still want to hang out?"

Laxus's face softens, "of course we are going to hang out. Come here." Holds his arms out and lets (Y/n) walk into them. "It's our last night here." He kisses the top of their head, "let's make it count."

"Board games?"

"Board games." Laxus confirmed, "and card games with (favorite sweet) to eat."

(Y/n) wraps their arms around him a little tighter, "and what about tomorrow? What will we do then?"

"Well we have to leave this place, but we don't have to leave each other. Did you find a place to stay?"

They nod, "yes a place for both of us. It doesn't cost too much and it has enough space for both of us. I talk to the owner before going on my job, they said we can move in as early as the day after tomorrow."

"The day after, why is that?" Laxus asks, they are still standing in each others arms.

"Th owner said that they have to make sure the money is good in all. We would have to sign all the paper work and stuff before we can move in. Don't you want to look at it first?" (Y/n) asked, looking up at Laxus.

"No time for that. As long as there is a place for the bed, a sink, and a working bathroom I don't care. It must be good if you like it." Laxus mumbles, "so, board games?"

(Y/n) let go of him, "board games."

That next morning, Laxus and (Y/n) show up at the guild together for the very first time. The whole guild, even Natsu, knew what would happen today. At least, they thought they knew what was going to happen.

"So you actually made it. I'm impressed." Master Makarov says, looking at the young mages sitting in front of him. "My guess is you two ended up getting along after awhile?"

"Sure, at the very end." (Y/n) said, glaring over at Laxus. "Can we go now? Still have to move everything out of the apartment you know."

"It seems like you two are still fighting." The guild master sighs, "did being with each other teach you kids nothing?"

(Y/n) replied before Laxus had a chance too, "of course it did! I lost a bet and made sure to keep my end of the deal. We haven't fought hand to hand since we became roommates."

"That's not the only thing we learned." Laxus added, looking over at the (magic ability) mage who was glaring at him. "No need to go on and on though. When can we leave?"

"Today, you have to be out by noon. You may bring your things here and set them down on the second floor. The other S-class mages agreed that none of them will go through your stuff." The master reassured us.

The two mages thanked him and walked out of the guild. They heard "congratulations" and "I can't believe they made it" being said throughout the guild. The mages smiled to themselves, making sure no one else could see it.

When they returned to their home, everything was already backed up and ready to move. "So what now?" (Y/n) asked Laxus.

"We move out and wait. There's nothing else we can really do." He replies, "good thing we don't have too much stuff."

"Yeah..." (Y/n) agreed, picking up a box of their clothes.

"Hey," Laxus said, making them look up at him, "don't look so sad. We can live together in our own place as roommates."

(Y/n) smiles and they began to walk back and forth, moving all the boxes to the second floor of the guild.

It was now very close to noon, the mages were down to their last boxes. "This is it." (Y/n) said, walking back from the bathroom, "you got that last box, right? Do you need met to carry it?"

Laxus shakes his head, "no I got it, thanks." He smiles at them, "and yeah this is really it."

"Lots of bad memories here..." (Y/n) trailed off, looking back at the apartment from the door way.

"But they turned into something we can laugh about, right?" He asks.

"Yeah of course they are now!" (Y/n) exclaims.

"Then they are happy memories now. And now we can make new memories in just two days." Laxus smiles softly.

"Just one last thing I have to ask you here," (Y/n) starts, "are you going to ask me out or am I going to ask you out?"

"What ever you like, it makes no difference to me." He replies, "but you better make a decision quickly."

"Laxus, will you go out with me?" (Y/n) asks with a smile on their face.

He returns the smile, "oh wow! This is just so sudden! I-I don't know what to say!" He says in a school girl voice, but clearly making it sound like he was joking.

"Say yes." (Y/n) replies in pleading tone, playing along. "Oh please say yes!"

Laxus bats his eye lashes, "yes! Of course I will go out with you!" He exclaims, still making it like a joke.

The mages laugh and head out of their apartment, locking the door for the last time.

As they were making their way back to the guild, "so did you really say yes or..." (Y/n) mumbled.

Laxus chuckles, "yes. I will go out with you. Too bad I can't kiss you right now..." He mumbles the last part under his breath.

"In two days you can." (Y/n) mumbles back, "but until then, do you want people to know?"

"How about we let the guild find out for themselves. Mirajane did see us kiss so it shouldn't be too long."

(Y/n) looks up at the sky, "yeah that's true."

Laxus smiles, "do you have a place to stay for the next two days?"

"Nope, figured I'd just take a longer job after you look at the new place. What about you?"

He shakes his head, "didn't really want to crash anyone. Maybe I'll join you on that job."

"Maybe you should." (Y/n) replies, opening the door to the guild.

"And done." (Y/n) said, sitting down the last box that needed to be moved into the new apartment. "Finally, moving is so boring."

"Yep and setting everything up is even more time consuming." Laxus replied, wrapping his arms around their waist. "Why don't we just sleep tonight and set everything up in the morning. It's been a long day."

Laxus had a point. The two mages had just gotten back from their job and had to move in on the same day. Thankfully they didn't not get very injured and were able to move without anyone's help.

"Whatever, cuddly man." (Y/n) teased.

"I am not a cuddly man." He grumbles.

"Yes you are, Laxus us such a cuddly man."

"(Y/n), stop. Just stop." He said in a serious tone before picking them up and throwing them over his shoulder. "Come on, you need some sleep."

(Y/n) laughed, "and you cuddles."

"Shut up with that already." He sighs, placing them on the bed before turning out the light.

"Goodnight Laxus." (Y/n) said as he snaked his arms around them, pulling them closer to his body.

"Good night love." He said, and leans over to kiss their lips before closing his eyes, falling asleep with the person he loves in his arms.
