《Anime One Shots Book 1》Laxus X Neutral! Reader (Fairy Tail) {Roommates} Part One

It was another day at the guild, people laughing, taking on new jobs, destroying parts of the guild, Laxus and (y/n) fighting, Erza eating cake, and lots of rule breaking. One day after many months of the same thing happening every day, the guild master final decided to do something about it. "Laxus! (Y/n)! Get your ass in here right now!" He yelled from the top floor of the guild.
Laxus and (y/n) were in the middle of a fight when this happened. They're were at each others throats, literally. Laxus was about to hit (y/n) with his magic and (y/n) was about to hit Laxus with (magic ability). Glaring at each other, they walked up to the top floor. The guild was dead silent no one dared to make a sound.
It appeared like they were about to shove each other down the stair case, again. Which they would have if the guild master wasn't glaring at the two. "Have a seat." He said as they entered his office. "You two must stop all this fighting! The guild fights enough already!"
"Then why don't you tell everyone to stop fighting? Why just us?" Laxus asks.
"Because you two fight more than Natsu and Gray! Not only that up you two are a few of our strongest mages, you could end up killing each other one day. I do not want that to happen." The old man replies. "Do not make me warn you again, am I clear?"
"Yes." (Y/n) says making Laxus snicker. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing just the fact they you're scared of an old man." He replies.
"Really cause from the looks of it you're the one trying to cover your ass."
"Oh yeah? How's that?" Laxus moved his face closer to (y/n)'s, trying to intimated them.
"You two just can't listen, can you." The guild master mumbles, making the young mages turn their attention back to them. "Fine you leave me no choice." He goes into his desk drawer and pulls out two keys, tossing one them to the mages sitting across the desk. "You two will be roommates until you can stop fighting."
"No way in hell am I doing that!" (Y/n) shouts standing up to seem more intimidating.
"What the hell Gramps!" Laxus slams the key back down on the desk, "thanks but no thanks. I'd rather leave the guild than be roommates with (y/n)."
"Ha! Like some other guild would take you in!" (Y/n) laughs, "you're lucky he's your grandfather! Without him you wouldn't even be here!"
"(Y/n), that's enough." Master Makarov says in a warning tone. This catches both young mages off guard. "Sit back down." They both listen to him and do not say another word. "Sure you can both move to different guilds but you won't be accepted there like you are here. Sure you can make a few friends and go on missions, but you will still be an outcast. Maybe you'll do better in another guild but you won't have a family like this ever again. All I ask is for you to do this simple task and do it well. Two years is all I ask. If you can't work things out in two years, you can go back to fighting."

Laxus and (y/n) looked at each other, knowing that they would do this for the guild and because of the kindness Master Makarov has shown them over the years.
"Okay." Laxus said, "we'll do it."
Master Makarov turns to (y/n), "we will." They reply.
The old man smiles, handing Laxus his key back. "Thank you now go pack your bags, you have a lot to do. No jobs for the next few days."
"We understand." (Y/n) says and stands up.
"We'll let you know when we are done settling in." Laxus adds standing up as well.
"I shall see you then." Master Makarov replies, still smiling.
The young mages walk out of the office and out of the guild without saying another word. It wasn't until the reached the building where the apartment lies that one of them said something. "I'll make sure to stay out of your way." (Y/n) said in a cold tone, walking up the stairs. Turns out they have the very last apartment on the top floor.
"Fine by me." Laxus mumbles as they look at their new apartment door. "What's the old man's plan with this?"
(Y/n) unlocks the door to reveal the small apartment. It was large in size, for one person. Having only one bedroom was going to be a problem. The apartment seemed like a dorm, having no space for entertainment and a small kitchen.
"Home sweet home." Laxus mumbles, walking around the place.
"More like dump sweet dump." (Y/n) groans, still annoyed about being roommates with the man.
----
After about a week, the young mages came to find out one of them would have to sleep on the floor. So they decided to settle the argument with a coin toss. Of course they dragged poor Mirajane into it, making her flip the coin. Why Mirajane? She was friends with both (Y/n) and Laxus, making her not be one sided. The loser couldn't be mad at her for having to sleep on the floor. Who could be mad at Mirajane?
"Call it in the air." Mirajane says and flips the coin.
"Heads!" (Y/n) shouts.
"Tails." Laxus says in a calm voice.
The coin lands on a table in the guild on tails, (y/n) would have to sleep on the floor. "Damn it all to hell!" They shout, "stupid ass coin!"
"I'm sorry (y/n)." Mirajane frowned as the other guild members began to back away from where they were standing. She out a hand on the pissed mages shoulder.
"It's not your fault, I made the wrong call." (Y/n) sighs, "looks like its two years of sleeping on the floor for me. It can't be that bad." Trying to be positive, Laxus and (y/n) then walk back to their apartment after a long day of taking on jobs. No words were spoken between thee two, not even a 'good night' as Laxus turned off the lights making the bedroom go pitch black.
----
"Damn it Laxus!" (Y/n) shouts from the kitchen, "didn't you buy food last night!"
He walks into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes. "No we still have food."
(Y/n) then opens every cupboard and the refrigerator to prove their point. "Do you see any food or am I just blind?"

He groans and rubs his face, "okay so we don't. Just get food at the guild."
(Y/n) sighs and walks back into the bedroom, laying back down on the floor with an empty stomach. "What are you doing?" Laxus asks, looking down at them. "You've been on jobs all week, just go order some damn food."
(Y/n) didn't say a word, knowing that it would cause another argument.
"Did you spend it all already or something?" He questioned again, "no that doesn't sound like you."
(Y/n) sat up with a very pissed off close placed on their face. "Lucy needed rent money, Natsu burned down half of his house and needed money to fix it. A few of Levy's books was in the house, I replaced them for her. Patherlily flew to find me to get a shit ton of iron for Gajeel."
Pausing to take in a breath, "then I had to ride a train for two days in order to deliver the iron to him. Turns out that wasn't enough for him to finish his job, he bite off more than he could chew. I helped him finish the job by block all the attacks so that he could attack them all at once. Making me get very injured and having to pay for all that medicine. So yeah I spent it all. Happy?" They then laid back down and made sure not to face the man standing in front of them.
"That's why you help yourself before you help others. Are they going to pay you back?" He asked, wanting to know all information he could.
"Dunno."
Laxus sighed and stood up, "well you just need to take on more jobs. See you." With that, he left the apartment and the (type of mage) alone to finally get some more sleep.
When Laxus returned, he found the (type of mage) still fast asleep on the floor. He frowns at this, "going a whole day without eating, again?" No response, meaning they were knocked out cold. He sat down the take out, "this will be here whenever you wake up." He mumbles and goes to take a shower.
Once the water was running, (y/n) smells the food and wakes up. "That bastard." They mumble, opening up the container to find (favorite food). "He knows me too well."
----
Laxus stumbled into the apartment one night, holding his arm. "(Y/n)!" He calls in a desperate tone. The young mage appears from the bedroom, rubbing their eyes. Once they see the state Laxus was in, they rush to help him.
"Come on, let's clean you up." They say in a soft voice. "Where did you get injured?"
He moves his hand, the one that was holding his arm, to reveal a large cut going down his arm. "Bastard had a long sword, she got my leg too. Two small children started to throw rocks at my head, kinda shocked my head isn't bleeding." He says with a chuckle, "but damn my head is pounding."
"Well duh you got hit in the head many times." (Y/n) replied and say him down on the bed, "don't move, it will only make things worse."
"Thank you." He mumbles as they walk away and into the bathroom to find the first aid box.
(Y/n) send about an hour trying to stop all the bleeding and pain Laxus was having. "I can do it myself you know."
"Shut the fuck up and let me help you for once. You would only make things worse if you did this yourself, you know." (Y/n) replied, "you helped me so I'll help you."
"Fine, whatever." He mumbled knowing deep down he was glad (y/n) was with him. "I'll return the favor one day."
----
Laxus was true to his word the day (y/n) walks in the apartment about to pass out. It was a year and a half into then being roommates. Laxus was staying up late that night and notices this. "Bad day?"
(Y/n) chuckles and flips him off, "nope it was the best day of my life." They say with an intense amount of sarcasm.
Laxus noties they difference between the (y/n) who left this morning and the (y/n) who came back. He finds cuts and scraps all over their body.
"You can have the bed tonight, I'll take the floor. If you want to that is." He offers , he knows better than to force something even slightly onto the (type of mage).
"Nah I'm good. Lost fair and square and I plan on keeping my word." They reply, making their way over to the bathroom. A glare formed as a warning. "It won't kill me if I sleep on the floor for another night."
Laxus sighs, "think of it like this, we sleep in late enough so Gramps will send someone to wake us up. The person walks in and sees us together in the same room without fighting. They tell Gramps about this and that will being us closer to getting away from each other." (Y/n) laughs at his words and shakes their head, heading to the bathroom to treat their injuries.
"Just let me help you for fuck sake." He started to say, following (y/n) to the bathroom before getting the door slammed in his face.
"Nope."
The lightening mage sighs and leans up against the wall waiting for them to open the door.
Time moved by very slowly, it felt like a week had gone by before the door opened. When the door opened, Laxus sprang into action. He picked up the (type of mage) and place them over his shoulder, hurting them a little in the process. (Y/n) hissed in pain, "what the fuck are you doing!"
"Maybe you should listen to me for once." He says and walked over to the bed, placing them down gently to avoiding hurting them again. "You can barely walk so don't even think about moving. It's just one night."
(Y/n) glares at him but doesn't say a word, they just close their eyes. Laxus turns off the light and lays down, making sure not to face them. A small "thank you" was heard from the injured (type of mage). Laxus smiled, "your welcome." He mumbles back.

Coeus?
Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur) ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— About a boy who isn’t quite normal and doesn’t see himself as a human being, but is taught differently as he finds out about the world's secrets. Though not everyone is happy about his existence. This is inteded to evolve into a full blown space opera with elements of magic thrown into it. ——————————————————————————————— The OneShot goes FullStory. Trying to go a little more SciFi and alternate reality this time. I am not entirely sure how this fiction will turn out. And I am not sure on the tags either. They may change. Bear with it. As always, how chapters turn out is up to my mood.
