《Anime One Shots Book 1》Gajeel X Female!Reader (Fairy Tail) {After School Chats}

Class ended and everyone raced to the hallways, trying to not miss their rides. Of course some of the students can drive and most ride the bus. Today being one of the two days I have ever been picked up by car, means that I have the pleaser of being at school an hour longer. Yay.
After all the other students but myself and another person have left, I started to stare out at the road. It was a little cold but you couldn't feel it as long as you were in the sun. Unlike that guy who's shaking, standing in the shade. Idiot.
For some reason, there were no benches it sit on. It's weird I know but maybe they didn't think that students would be here after an hour.
Only for today and then you got to be stuck on that bus.
The guy walked over here after some time, sitting down beside me. My back was against the brink and so was his. We both stared out at the road. The guy was from my history class, kind of a loud mouth but not as bad as his friends.
"Didn't think you'd be here." He said, "feels good over here."
"That's because you are no longer shaking like an idiot. After all you're wearing black clothes, you should get warm soon." I replied, looking dow at my phone which rest on the sidewalk.
"Too bad the suns in my eyes, I can hardly see your face."
"Good, then I won't have to see yours."
"Ouch (y/n), that hurt."
I rolled my eyes and he smiled, you did have to look at him to know that.
"What is it that you want?" I asked, "you would've have came over here without a reason, Gajeel. Is this about Levy?"
He shook his head, "nah I heard she's moving next year though Wendy. Too bad though, I was starting to be good friends with her. No point now if she's just gonna leave. Still another half of the year to go after all."

I frowned, "I'm sorry. Too bad you guys didn't work out."
"What do you mean by 'work out'? What was there to work out?" He asked.
I shrugged, "I needed a new ship in my life. All my other ones are at different schools now. Or one of them may or may not be dead."
"Video game?"
I nodded, "can you guess which one?"
"Rune Fantasy?"
I nodded once more.
"And it's Noctis right?"
"Wow that's scary."
"What is?" He asked.
"That you know all of that. Never thought that I would yell about Rune Fantasy that much. If any at all." I replied.
"Oh, you really don't. Your friends talk about you and mock you, I'm sure you're aware of this."
I nodded, "over heard them too many times but they're all I got for now. Can't wait to leave this place."
"Heard that, ready to leave this town and start somewhere new."
"It'd be weird if I ran into you after all of this is just a memory."
"You mean like once school is in the past?"
I nodded, "yeah. 'You'll loose touch after school' is what they all say."
He laughed, "'they' are not very bright. After all 'they' said that all this would be our golden years. Nothing 'golden' about sitting out here."
"It's not too bad, at least it's not raining."
He chuckled, "that's true. It really would be weird if we ran into each other after all of this."
"Like those 'if you and I aren't married when we're forty then we will get married' deals." I said, "why don't you just marry them then."
"Because they can't just say it like that. Even if they want too." Gajeel said, "guys can't just come out and say that."

"I think they can if they want too. Girls won't be happy anyway."
He laughed, "that's true. Never thought we'd see eye to eye. The girl in the hoodie and the boy with the piercings."
"Sounds like you wanted to have one of those deals." I said looking away from the road and over at him. Gajeel looks at me as well, "with who?"
"With you."
I gave him a puzzled look, "not Erza or Mira?"
"Mira is way older than me and Erza scares me sometimes. Plus she has the boyfriend that's homeschooled." He replied, "plus you're kinda cute."
"'Kinda cute?' How am I 'kinda cute?' Why not just cute?" I asked.
"Because then I would't have gotten that reaction from you. Now I know that you care about how I think about you." He replied with a smile to mock me.
"Too bad you're only kinda hot."
"I'll take it. Hot is better than cute, right?"
I glared over at him and he laughed, knowing that he was right and I was mad about that. Even though he knew I was kidding.
"So, we have a deal?" He asked.
I nodded, "sure why not."
We shook hands and his ride arrived.
----
It was our schools fifth year reunion, thing, for my class. I walked in only to see if Natsu was here. Of course, he wasn't. He is the only person I haven't last contact with over the years.
"(Y/n)!" Gajeel shouted from across the gym, a smile was on his face.
I smiled back, knowing that I knew someone here.
"It's been too long, you look great." He said once we meet in the middle of this gym.
I smiled, "thanks you do too. Not ever grown man can still pull of piercings you know."
"Yeah will I still like them, even though I never thought I'd be back here after all these years." He said, looking around at the crowd of people. "I don't think I know half the people here. So are you out of college yet?"
I nodded, "just got out last year. How about you?"
"Nah I'm still in. Going for my masters."
"You! Going for a masters degree!" I laughed thinking about all the times is fell asleep during history class.
"Hey! Don't act so surprised!" He shouted back, laughing a little with me.
We spent the whole night catching up and got onto the topic of dating.
"Really you haven't found anyone?" He said, "I thought you would have been married with kids by now."
I shrugged, "guess not."
"Why not? I don't mean to be nosey but..." He trailed off.
"Honestly, I was hoping that we run into each other."
He was taken back by this but happy. "I was hoping you'd be here. Too bad that we said, 'once we leave this place' you know?"
I nodded, "yeah that wasn't very goo planning on my part."
"Well what if you and I ditch this, like we should have done back when we attended this school, and go for a late night date? Nothing crazy of anything just like take out and walk around town."
I smiled, "you learn how to be a gentle man. I'm impressed." I said as I threw away my cup, "I'd say let's ditch this place once again."
He smiled and we walked out of the high school for the last of our single life's.
