"Lubbock!" I shouted running around town, "where are you!"

He appeared on top of a building and waved, "come on up! The view is amazing from here!"

I grinned and ran as fast as my ten year old legs could take me. I went to the side of the building and Lubbock pointed down to the fire escape, which was a latter. "Climb up! You have got to see this!"

He grabbed my hand as soon as I made it to the top. He pulled me over to the edged and sat on the railing. "You can not tell me this view isn't beautiful." He said, looking out at the trees and at the river in the distance.

I nodded, "it's amazing. How did you find this place? It's so dark out."

He grinned, "I was following this cat and he held me to river. There had to be a spot where you could see it and here it is. Of course we're not really allowed up here but it's not like we'll get hurt if someone finds up here."

I nodded and we watched the stars light up one by one and talked about the future we wanted.

"I don't want to stay here." I said, he looked over at me. "Why is that?"

"It's not home to me. Sure I was born and raised here but it's not where I want to be. Somewhere far away from the capital is perfect for me."

He frowned, "I want to stay here. Unless I find someone that makes me want to move, you know?"

"So you want to fall in love?" I asked.

He nodded, "yeah I do. It just seems amazing, you know? Being able to stay with someone you're whole life and them love you with all their heart is just amazing to me."

It was the moment, I saw him in a totally different light. At first he was the kid who just so happened to live next to me. Then the son of a wealthy family. To my best friend who I could go on adventures with. Now he's the man I wanted to be with. He also would also the one I wanted to end up with to this very day.

We started to meet up there every night and make plans to go on a new adventure the next day. Even though we always found a new spot to check out almost everyday. One night there was a new caravan going down the street. I poked Lubbock and he faced me. I pointed down at the street. "Someone new! I hope they have a kid our age!"

"Yeah and I hope that it's a pretty girl! One who I can marry some day and make her proud!" He said.

We watched the caravan stop at the end of the building we were at the top of. A girl with short, silver hair stepped out with the rest of her family.

"Wow! She's pretty!" Lubbock whispered shouted to me. I nodded my head, "yeah maybe we can meet her tomorrow."

"That would be so cool! We can be friends and go on adventures with her!" He exclaimed as the family went inside the building.

Who knew that day would ended up tp me being killed because of the girl. I laugh at it every time I think about it. Lubbock's happiness was all I cared about, even if it was me who would make him smile.

Just a few years later and we all joined the capital army. Lubbock was chasing after her and I was chasing after him. I didn't think that I would have gone as far as giving up my life for his happiness. At the same time I didn't want her life to end.

"Lubbock is sick so it's just you and me today." I told the girl. She nodded and we headed out to kill some S-class danger beasts. Turns out to be more than what they said it would be. We were both decent fighters but it was too much for just the two of us.

One of the beasts was going to attack her from behind as she was fighting another beasts. I finished mine and tried to block it from hurting her. My sword broke and it attack me head on. I didn't have enough money for the best armor, its claws went right through the one I did have one.

I screamed in pain and the girl turned around and saw me falling to the ground. She killed all the other beasts and rushed over to my side. "You shouldn't have done that. It was my fault for not looking out for myself."

I shook my head, "and leave Lubbock to drown in sad ness, no way. I'm okay with dying as a teen, it means I never have to grow up. Well more than we already have. Just fight for the right side and please, please make Lubbock happy."

She nodded and held my hand, "you're not going to die here."

I chuckled, "too late."

I faded away and returned to a place where my family was. Up in the clouds.

It's been nice, being here and all. Lubbock took the news about my death hard but she was there for him. I swear if he dies and doesn't think about her I will knock him into next week whenever he gets here. I still check up on him every once in a while. He has followed her around, I just hope he believes the same things as she believes in. As long as he's happy, it's good enough for me.

I did see him again when he came to this place. He smiled and hugged me tight when he saw me. "(Y/n)!" He shouted, "I missed you so much."

I hugged him back as tears fell from our faces, "I missed you too."

We spent that night talking about everything that has happened since the last time I checked up on him.

"Yes for the last time (y/n), the last person I thought of was her!" He shouted and laughed.

"I have to make sure my ship was still alive before one of you died!" I shouted back, laughing as well.

"Oh! You know that manga I took from you all those years ago?" He asked.

I nodded, "yeah what about it?"

"I have- well had a book shop and I still have-had it." He said, correcting himself. "Man it's hard being dead."

I laughed, "I know right. You don't know what words to say for awhile."

"Anyway, I saw that you drew a heart next to Natsu's name." He said, wiggling his eyebrows.

"I was eight okay and he's hot!" I said trying to defend myself.

He laughed as I hid my face in my hands.

"You were such a big fan of his!" He laughed.

"Lubbock? Is that you?" Someone called and we looked behind us.

It was a girl with blonde hair walking over to us. She smiled and pulled him into a bone crushing hug, "I've missed you so much!"

"Missed? I haven't been dead for even a week yet." He said with a chuckle.

"Huh? Lubbock it's been months since you've been dead." She replied, letting go of him.

"Uh, (y/n) this is Leone and Leone this is (y/n) a childhood friend of mine."

She smiled as we shook hands, "nice to finally meet you. Lubbock talked about you from time to time."

I smiled and looked at him, "I'm glad I crossed your mind from time to time."
