jess hasn't showing up to school for a week and she hasn't been answering your texts or calls.

well, she hasn't been answering anyone at all.

you're worried so you decide to show up at her house.

luckily, jess's mom likes you so she allows you to come in and go up to see jess.

you carefully open jess's bedroom door and walk in, just incase she's sleeping or something.

you shut the door behind you and you see your best friend sat in bed, drinking vodka.

"are you okay? everyone is worried about you!" jess pats the empty space next to her, indicating for you to sit next to her.

you sit on the bed.

"so why haven't you been in?"

as jess is about to speak, she bursts into tears.

you hug her, "it's okay. you can tell me.", you reassure jess.

jess pulls away and nods at you. jess starts crying again, but she manages to speak. "something happened to me."

you look at her with concern and grab her hand. "what happened?"

jessica takes a deep breath. "b-bryce w-alker raped me and," jess starts sobbing even harder, "j-justin d-d-didn't even stop him."

you hug jessica again, but this time you don't let go.

you stay at jessica's house for a few hours before your mom texted you saying that you have to leave.

before you leave the bedroom, jessica says "thank you for being a good friend."
