imagine; you're in a love triangle with justin and zach.

when you finished getting ready for school and ate breakfast, you grab your phone and start walking to school.

you remember that zach sent you a message so you open it and it says,

the time is 8:30 so you have plenty of time.

when you arrive at school, you walk to the gym and you see zach waiting for you.

"hey (Y/N)."

"what's up zach? it seems pretty serious if you couldn't just tell me over text."

zach starts to look nervous as he bites his lip and starts walking up and down.

"justin told me about the date you two had last night, but it's so fucked up."

you raise your eyebrows. "excuse me dempsey?"

"not in that way. you two would be cute, wait nevermind but justin is seeing jessica. he told me yesterday morning so yeah." zach looks at you with a sad look in his eye.

"so justin practically cheated on his girlfriend who is also my friend, with me." you scoff and tears start to form in your eyes, but you blink them away.

you grab zach's hand, "thank you for telling me. at least i can avoid drama.", "it's okay." zach smiles.

for the next three lessons, you sit with zach and completely ignore justin. whilst justin is trying to get your attention, you laugh at zach's jokes and tell him how funny he is.

when it's finally lunch, you sit with zach again and initiate a conversation with him.

justin gets angry and you know this, because he slams his fists on the table.

"why have you been ignoring me? it's starting to irrirate me."

"why would it irritate you? you have jessica if you want female attention."

after the encounter, justin gives up trying to get your attention and ignores you for the rest of the day.

this makes you a little bit guilty, but he does have a girlfriend.

when school finishes, zach offers you a ride home in his car and you thank him.

later that day, zach texts you.

you text back immediately saying

as you're waiting for zach to reply, justin messages you.

you roll your eyes and open the message.

out of curiosity, you text back asking him why.

you ignore the message and send zach another message.

you're kind of hoping that it is. zach is a sweet guy.

when you hear your phone ringing, your heart starts racing.

you quickly grab your phone and it's zach. you answer it.

"hey."

"hi (Y/N)."

you don't respond because, honestly? you're so nervous.

"it's true. i do have a thing for you and it's okay if you don't like me in that way. i won't get mad."

you smile to yourself. for the whole night, you and zach have been talking on the phone and in the end, you realise that maybe you should give zach a chance.
