《Lucky Kiss Number 13》Chapter 10

“I think we should talk about this, about what just had happened.” He says once our lips finally released after five whole minutes of constant kissing.
I kissed him, and he kissed me back. I, the exact same Tessa Queens who had promised herself to never ever get involve with any type of guy that screamed heart breaker. But here I was standing here on his front porch, wishing that our lips can just once again reconnect.
Oh God, Tessa Queens should just runaway right now and check herself into a mental hospital as soon as possible. That kiss was really getting to my head, I mean I'm even starting to talk in the third person.
Still embarrassed about the whole situation and about the stupidity of my actions, all I could bare to do was nod. My whole entire brain was like a scramble egg, too many things were going on inside my head, I was sure I was about to shut down eventually or even immediately.
“C’mon, let’s go to my room and we can talk there. It’s more private, and it will prevent any ears droppers from over hearing our conversation. Mom.” He said emphasizing the word mom as he turned towards the window where I noticed his moms face popping out behind of the curtains giving us a friendly wave.
Keaton grabbed onto my hand and pulled me all the way towards his room. It seems like this has been our routine lately with him dragging me to places or pulling me back. Our hands were constantly touching that it didn’t feel weird anymore.
Never has he ever grabbed me roughly, always gently like my hands were precious. Of course it didn’t mean anything. Friends, we were just friends. To think about it, I wasn’t even sure if we were friends. Acquaintances, yes that was all we are.

“So where do we start?” I casually said to start off the conversation.
“Why did you kiss me? What does this make us? Are we friends, more than friends? Did you feel something when we kissed? Did you like the kiss? I was a good kisser wasn’t I? Actually don’t answer that. I know I’m a good kisser.” He threw himself onto the bed, laying right next to me.
“Why are you asking me so many questions, you’re starting to sound like a girl.” I honestly admitted.
“I was hoping that you would kiss me again to shut me up, like what you did before.” He playfully whispered into my ears.
“About the kiss, it shouldn’t have had happened.” His arms wrapped around my torso, pulling closer to him to the point where I could feel him breathing onto me.
“I know. But things happen don’t they? I’ve been friends with you for the past weeks, but I still don’t know anything about you at all. Let’s play thirteen questions.”
One question that was still roaming my mind, I have to ask him this question before I leave this house tonight or I won’t ever be able to go to bed. “Do you know about my secret about my dad? And please don’t lie to me Keaton, I absolutely hate liars.”
“Yes, I know. You’re really open when your drunk.” Honesty was what I needed in my life. After living in a life that feels like living in lies, it felt refreshing to have a bit of honesty for a change.
“You were eventually going to find out sooner or later. I think that it’s best that I don’t remember telling you. Sometimes I feel like people pity me and pretend to be nice to me. Is that what you’re doing?”

“We are all in the same game, just at different levels, all dealing with hell, just with different devils. So no, I don’t pity you.”
This boy had his ways with words.
He traced his fingers along my palm, making stars and hearts. We spent the next five minutes just talking about anything, like whether we were virgins or how we like our eggs cooked, all until I was interrupted by my cell phone.
I answered the phone not even caring that Keaton was in the room.
“Hello, Tessa? It’s Chasity, I thought we could talk for a bit.” I looked down at my nails, was I ready to talk to her?
No matter what, family is family.“So now you want to talk like a civil person? What is it Chasity?”
“I am sorry that I’ve been a complete bitch to you, but I did that on purpose. You have done nothing but try to help me, and trust me I see that you are an amazing sister. I’m moving to Miami with my dad and I just wanted to say goodbye.” I hear her sniffle up a bit on the other end. Okay three words.
What. The. Fuck.
Remember when I said that I needed to check myself into a mental hospital? Well never mind to that, it seems like my sister needs to be checked in before me. I mean she might as well dye her hair blonde and wear a shirt that says stupid. She is treated like a princess at home and yet she wants to move into a house with an abuser and a bimbo.
“Why on earth would you want to move in with a man that almost killed your family? Why can’t you see that he’s bad for us. He’s not a good person.”
“I can’t do that to my dad.” She barley manage to whisper.
“Sure you can, I did that. I don’t even consider him as my dad.” My eyebrows scrunched up saying the word dad. I need a vomit bag.
“I wish he wasn’t my dad Tessa, but unfortunately for me he is. Luckily for you, he isn’t.”
Luckily for you, he isn’t.
