{Anaya}
I walked around the mall with Nike. He took me on a shopping spree for me and Messiah.
I got matching pairs of all black jordan ones for me and my baby. I almost got Messiah a few cute fits from out of Carter's.
My fit today was classic, but classy today.
Light washed boyfriend jeans with a cropped white tank, on top it off a black NIKE rain jacket. I wore my all white jordan ones with it, so y'all know I had to get me the matching black pair.
"You hungry?" Nike asked as we came up to the food court. "Always" I replied back.
See one thing about me, I ain't ever gon turn down food! Best believe. Even though I'm ready to bounce and go home to my baby boy, imma still stuff my face first real quick.
Messiah was back home chilling with grandma Bryant, as he should. I didn't want to bring him out in the open air like that all the time, especially with him being a new baby his lungs are tiny and new.
We made our way into the food court. I stood in the middle, indecisive on what I wanted.
"What you want?" Nike asked. He stood in front of me with his hands tucked in his pant pockets.
"I don't know" I whined, why life gotta be so hard.??
I gazed the court for a while, finally deciding on Chinese food.
"Chinese" I said, making my way over.
Nike followed behind step by step. He seemed a little off today, like he was irritated by something. I didn't even bother to ask, he seemed like he needed his time, I can understand that. Plus he ain't finna jump on my case not today! Cause somebody else pissed him off.
We went up to the stand ordering our food. Two pretty, skinny females approached our area, getting in line behind us. I paid them not much attention, they on the other hand, kept looking over staring. For a while. I wonder what's on they mind?
These girls look familiar but I couldn't put my mind to it, like they were from my school or i knew them from somewhere around my block.
I just ignored it, continuing to order my food. I ordered shrimp lo mein, with a two pack of egg rolls. I topped it off with a sprite. Light ice.
Nike got the beef and broccoli with a side of fried rice. He topped his Oder off with a fruit punch.
Nike paid for the food, then on we went. Finding a table.
We talked a little as we ate, Nike was a funny character. He's just a nice and caring person in general, how did we find ourselves in this fucked up situation?
"Nike I'm tired. You had me gone from my baby all day, I miss him." I whined. He chuckled thinking shit was funny. Our voices were masked by laughter coming from the table beside us, they been at it over there since they've sat down.
I looked over seeing two females looking directly over my way, the two girls that were behind us in line were sitting across from them at the table. Ain't nothing they could've said over there was that damn funny for them to be showing out in public like that. One thing I can say is momma always taught me manners.

I looked back over at Nike. He was too busy all up in his device.
"So what's that about?" I asked. Nike looked up at me with confusion filling his face.
"What?" He replied, I jerked my head their way gesturing what I was referring to.
"Them, who are they" I asked, being nosy
Nike shoot his head, looking in their direction. "Man you ain't even gotta worry bout them" he spoke, glancing back at me
Yeah I knew what was up at this point. It's cool. "I know I ain't gotta be worried bout them, but that's not what I asked" I said speaking calmly.
He shook his head. "Man just know, you ain't even gotta worry about them" he repeated. He was really pissing me off at this point. Just answer the damn question.
They sat there for a while talking loud. Little small talk, just loud as hell.
My phone chimed as it rung. "Hello" I greeted as I answered, not even viewing the contact name.
"Hello, your speaking with Audrey for Lipid Labz Inc. I was calling to inform to the test results for Christopher Coleman and Messiah Bryant have came in" she spoke. "Okay" I replied tryna get to the point.
"The probability of paternity was zero percent" she spoke, reading slow. Not gon lie my heart began racing before those words could even exit her mouth.
"Alright, thank you. I have a quick question before this calls end" I talked, letting her know. "Okay go ahead ma'am" she spoke back.
"Would you know guys approximately how long it will take for either of the other two results to come back in?" I asked curiously, hopping for a accurate answer.
"Um..I we really couldn't fill you with that information at this moment because we really wouldn't know at this time. All I could tell you is to give it up to three weeks for accurate results." She spoke reassuring me.
"Alright, thank you" I thanked her.
"No problem, have a good day"she ended the conversation, hanging up.
I removed the phone from my ear placing it down on the table. "Who that?" Nike spoke up. I looked up at him, he had genuine concern in his eyes. Or he was just being nosy as hell.
"The lab, they called me back about Chris's results" I said making eye contact as I spoke. He nodded his head up and down, "what happened? What they say" I was nervous to answer that question at first. Why you ask? I don't know..
"There was no DNA found, he's not the father" I explained. Shots felt like they flew through me, it hurt me every time I talked about my situation or had to bring my son up in it.
His head nodded as he gazed off.
"You straight?" He asked seeing my attitude change.
"Yeah, I'm good. I'm ready to go home now" I said gathering up my plate. Between these bitches and the phone call I was ready to go. Wrong timing for all this shit to unfold.
I stood up, pushing my chair in. Nike followed in toe, as soon as I got up the girls sitting next to us went to chuckling. Right idea, wrong bitch!
I shot over a look, granting one of them bitches with the death stare.
"This bitch just can't get enough I guess" I whispered, rolling my eyes
"Baby, and your baby daddy just can't get enough either boo" she snapped back, looking right at me.

I looked over at Nike, over at her, then back to Nike. I chuckled before calmly walking away, man I ain't got the time or the patience for the bull today!
"Anaya" Nike called out for me. I just kept it going, making my way out the malls front exit.
I knew couldn't make it that far, Nike was my only ride here and back. I made my way over to the car, leaning against it. Not long later Nike made his way out as well, my Carter's and Foot locker bags clutched in his hand and he walked, I didn't even realize I left them. Nike walked up to the car, unlocking it placing the bags in.
As he did as so, I opened the door hopping into the passenger seat. After Nike got everything settled he hopped in the drivers side.
"Man what the fuck is yo problem" Nike yelled as he started the car. This was the first time I seen Nike blow up like that, it kinda scared me not gon lie.
"What problem?, ion have no problem" I said playing dumb, still with a little attitude. He sucked his teeth before going quite. We backed out, exiting the parking lot.
"So you just gon ignore me?" I asked. I went to open my mouth to talk again but was rudely cut off. Nike started to go off, I mean he went in! Ion know if it was just built up anger or the spur of the moment, but he didn't even have to do all that.
"So your mad at me because your little bitches pushed me to my limit? Them bitches was tryna be big ass bullies and they thought I wasn't gonna say shit" I yelled back.
"Nah man, I'm pissed cause you always got a fucking attitude with me bout some petty shit. You always acting like a stuck up bitch, shit been acting like one since we met. Bruh let me hurry up and get yo ass home so I can get my son and go" he kept raising his voice higher and higher as he spoke. Bitch? He really just had me fucked up
"Nigga you not taking my son" I talked, letting him know wssup. "You think you gon disrespect me then take my child? Hell nah!"
"You really not gon let me get my son bruh?" I could tell that really ticked him off, if he wasn't already pissed he damn sure was now.
"I done told you this ain't yo baby, even if he is you better act like he's not. That's my child, not nun of y'all's. Y'all don't deserve a blessing like him in y'all lives, FUCK ALL YALL." I yelled. A tear rolled down my face, not long later tears were just raining down. My voice cracked as I yelled even more.
Nike looked over at me, tryna focus on me and back on the road. It took him a while to apologize because of his pride, but after a silent car ride he did. "Anaya, I'm sorry" he spoke. His voice went dull. He reached his arm over, placing it on my thigh as he talked.
"Get the fuck up off me" I yelled, shoving him. We continued home, the ride was quite. Just filled with built up tension. Nike had me fucked up! I just wanted to jump out the car and get away from his ass, he thought I was playing he ain't gon ever see my baby again, the father or not I don't care. Tears streamed down my face outta anger as I stared out the window.
I watched us pass a few houses that were a few streets down from mine. Not much longer we pulled up in my driveway. I hopped out making my way inside, I unlocked the door walking in. Fuck them bags ion even want nun Nike spent his little precious money on. I greeted moms sitting in the living before going upstairs, into my room. Mesha and Moms was sitting on the couch with Messiah wrapped up in moms arms, him was always sleeping. Like he had a 9:5 or something.
I made it up to my room closing the door behind me. I could hear the mumbles of Nikes voice coming from downstairs, I guess he had came in to come see Messiah. Ion know why he thought the shit he just pulled was cool. Fuck him.
Me and Messiah don't need him, we don't need none of them, Fuck them!..
{Chris}
I slid over, deleting Anaya's number from my contact. I told her that wasn't my jhit, he resembles more of Nike if you ask me. If he got any of the Wades blood running through him, that lil boy gon be bad as hell!
I pulled up to the trap hopping out, i dapped everybody up as I walked in. Niggas was hard at work, bitches were half naked, sorting money and breaking down dope.
"Yo, what it is my dawg" I spoke, greeting Ray as I walked through the door into his office. He was sitting at his desk with his legs kicked up on the table
"Yo" Ray spoke back, he took his legs down paying attention to me. "What you got for me today?" He asked, getting straight to business.
"Not much" I replied, "Just gotta make sure to get that payment from Easton by tonight" I stated
He nodded his head up and down.
"Aye man, imma free man" I joked, dapping him up
"Yo results came back G?" He asked with a smile planted across his face.
"Hell yeah, I told y'all that baby wasn't mine. That little dude look nothing like me." I replied, plopping down in the comfy black chair sitting in front of his desk.
Ray chuckled shaking his head side to side. "Man, nattily want me to take the paternity test. I know what it's gon say so why bother" he commented.
"Dawg, that gotta be Nikes baby lil jhit and him resemble each other too much. He look just like em" I replied
"Don't wish that on lil cuz" he snapped shutting me up. He talked slow as he concentrated on his thoughts. "ion know, I honestly hope he ain't nobodies. Ion know how that little ass girl get down, she might be tryna pin her baby on a motherfucker.
I nodded my head slowly, up and down. "Well, imma pray for the rest of you motherfuckers. I'm outta the equation" I said shaking my head
"Man get the fuck out my office" Ray joked, flicking me off.
I chuckled, getting up, seeing my way out.
Shit I'm serious, imma pray for they asses. They gon need it if it come back one of theirs..
