It was a quiet morning,

chaos almost a distant memory,

things were slow at the club due

to a recession in Gotham City.

had to find other ways to make money.

Sitting on top of the covers,

you played with your toys contentedly,

still in your pyjamas because you hadn't gotten dressed for the day and he was still in bed,

no t shirt on and in his boxers,

intense blue eyes on you.

So innocent.

"Daddy talk to you about something?"

He asked you lowly but you both knew he wasn't actually giving you a choice.

"Otay daddy"

You answered him quietly,

meeting his eyes for a moment before

focusing on your toys again.

"Things are getting a little quiet at the club.

I won't be around as much at night

for a while cos daddy has some things

he needs to do hm?"

"Otay..."

You trailed off into a short silence,

thinking about it.

"Is daddy not doing good?"

A low chuckle leaving his mouth at your response,

he smoothed a hand over your forehead,

his fingertips brushing against

your cheek as he pulled away.

"Daddys doing good baby.

Just need to make sure my little bunny

has everything she needs huh?"

"Uh huh"

You nodded,

a grin forming on his mouth

as he looked at you.

"Come"

He opened his arms to you.

"Before I change my mind"

Climbing onto him,

You threw your arms around his shoulders,

burying your head into his chest

as he kissed your forehead roughly.

Chaos was never too far away.

But for now,

there was you.
