climbing onto his lap,

an irritated sigh leaving his mouth

as he leaned back against the chair,

his hand resting on your back to stop

His intense blue eyes fell onto you,

sitting there quietly and looking like

you wanted something.

"Can I have a kitty?"

You looked up at him with innocent eyes.

He told you blankly.

"Didn't you ask me the exact same question

last week and didn't daddy tell you

the exact same thing?"

"But I thought maybe you had changed

your mind by now"

You answered him hopefully.

"Because I've been looking on the kitty rescue websites and there's this little blonde

kitten with cute eyes and-"

He scoffed.

"I'm not getting you a kitten.

You can't take care of yourself

let alone an animal"

"But you take care of me daddy"

You furrowed your eyebrows.

"So that means I'll have time

to take care of him and-"

A bitter laugh leaving his mouth,

he sucked his teeth in annoyance,

trying to keep his patience with you.

"See..."

He narrowed his eyes at you.

"You don't seem to be listening to me little girl.

You are not getting a kitten or

a puppy or a fucking bunny rabbit

or any other fucking parasite you can think of.

I'm fucking busy and I'm not helping

you take care of a filthy animal.

You asked him curiously,

unable to take no for an answer.

"Get out"

He told you firmly,

a soft sigh leaving your mouth

as you climbed down from his lap,

leaving the door to his office open behind you.
