You asked him tiredly,

hearing him calling you from

the hallway.

He appeared in the doorway,

his intense blue eyes falling on to you.

"You're oversleeping again"

"I'm depressed"

You buried your head into your pillow.

"I don't want to face the world anymore"

"Face the world?"

He scoffed,

rolling his eyes at your dramatic excuses.

"You need to eat baby,

come on.

Get some breakfast hm?"

"I'm not hungry daddy"

"Not even for cookies?"

He raised an eyebrow,

a teasing grin on his mouth.

"Ice cream...

Those little heart shaped pancakes

that 'cha like?"

"You don't even let me eat those most days"

You answered him quietly.

"Daddy will make an exception for

today if ya get up alright?"

He told you firmly.

"Can I have chocolate milk?"

You asked curiously.

"And syrup?"

If ya wanna drink the whole bottle of syrup,

You go ahead sweetheart but

Don't say daddy didn't warn ya though"

Giggling softly,

he moved your hair to the side,

leaning down to kiss your forehead roughly as you buried your head into his chest,

holding onto him as he lifted you out of bed.

"Come on,

What do ya wanna do today huh?

Sometimes he could be harsh,

but he was the only thing that could get

you out of bed in the morning.
