Sighing softly,

you pushed the door to his office open,

knowing that he was going to berate you

for using a knife in the first place,

but the wound was bleeding

and you needed his help.

"Daddy?"

You sniffled,

fresh tear stains on your face.

"What's up doll?"

He asked you lowly,

looking at some private files on his desk.

"I think I hurt myself..."

You trailed off into a short silent.

"Alright"

An irritated sigh left his mouth as

he dropped the papers,

looking up at you.

"What's the damage?"

Standing in between his legs,

You showed him your thumb

that was slowly bleeding,

a paper towel you had used to wrap around it,

the cut wasn't deep but it also wasn't minor.

"Ooh"

He raised an eyebrow playfully,

making you giggle.

"That's quite a wound hm?

How'd it happen baby?"

"I was trying to cut up an apple but the little knife,

You the know the sharp one?

It wasn't working very well so

I used the big one and i didn't realise

I was holding my thumb so close-"

"I told you not to fucking use it"

He cut you off,

running a hand over his face.

"I knew you'd fucking do this.

You don't listen,

You're gonna get hurt"

"I won't do it again"

You breathed out.

"I'm just gonna take it out of the draw

so ya can't use it"

He scoffed,

opening a draw in his desk and taking out

some antibacterial and a band aid.

"Why did ya do it huh?"

"Because I thought you were exaggerating"

You answered him quietly as he wiped the cut,

waiting for it to dry for a moment

before he applied the band aid.

"And was I?"

He looked at you.

"No..."

You whispered.

"Right"

He rolled his eyes at your innocence.

"So don't do it again.

And listen the next time I tell you

not the do something.

You think I just fucking say it for no reason?"

"Are you going to kiss it now?"

"Kiss it?"

"My boo boo"

You grinned toothily.

"It won't get better if you don't"

Looking off to the side,

he sucked his teeth in annoyance,

pulling you closer to him and kissing your hand softly before your forehead.

"Now get out.

And don't touch that knife again

cos next time it's daddys hand"
