Eyes on the ceiling,
Finding colours in it's white.
I've lost myself again;
Just because it's night time,
Heart on the railing,
Counting out it's blues,
I've lost myself again;
Been busy talking to the moon,
Lips always smiling,
Dripping a shades of red,
I've lost myself again;
From my veins words have bled,
Lungs just breathing,
Turning to ashes and dust;
I've lost myself again,
Didn't know I could take this much;
Mind stopped thinking,
Painting my vision in black,
I've lost myself again;
Don't know when I'll be back,
Body just existing,
Travelling through space and time,

Am I being punished for a crime?

Book 1 is written and scheduled for release a chapter a day till 9/26 (24 chapters total) Book 2 will be added after it is all written. Updated to add fanfic tag because when I picked up the latest Ten Realms I realized that series has had a lot more influence on the setting than I consciously realized. Don't expect military or industrial revolution in xianxia, though.

Writers note: The first chapter will set the standard in terms of mood for the remainder of the story. It also comes to no surprise to me that half the people who read the first part stop reading any further. It has quite a bit of the good ‘ol ‘ultra-violence’ mixed with a great deal of realism. As much as I could fit into it from my own knowledge and experience in the elite forces. The first few chapters will be slow, after, but starting from ‘Restless Destroyer’ the remainder of the world will start to open up, and when we hit ‘Adronitis’ the prologue is largely finished. The novel is well thought out and filled with hidden lore, culture, history. So even if my word choice appears random – it’s not. There is a reason why these chapters take as long as they do. Vermodalen is fantasy adventure, with magic and heroics in an as realistic setting as I could fit. Things are rarely what they seem, and the ugly nature of people bleed through the letters at the turn of every page. I hope you can give this story a fair chance, even if it isn’t immediately to your taste. Lastly, english isn't my first language. It isn't my second one either. So, if you find errors in grammer and spelling, wordplay and sentance building, do let me know, and you will be rewarded by a surge of dopamine that will be released inside your brain for helping someone whom you haven't even seen or heard.

Could he even forsake his friends and trample on them, all for the good of his own social position? With Master Crafters being the most sought after position in the Sub-human species — since they create everything from skyscrapers, to furniture and even weapons; just by being a high ranking crafter can bestow a life of luxury. A novel set in Cordoba X century during the Umayyad dynasty. Among historical figures such as Al-Mansur, and the Sultana Subh or Aurora, using her Latin name, mingle fictional characters interwoven with historical facts, that will make you go through loves, betrayals, emotions, and the dangers of Muslim splendor of time during the Islamic conquest of Hispania in century X. Two plots run in parallel; the first involving the attempt to rescue the power to Hisham II, overshadowed by Al-Mansur ambition and the second in the intricacies of the famous Al-Zahara Palace Library, when the discovery of a manuscript of the Koran can change the destiny of Islam and of its faithful. The Sierra de Guadarrama is a mountain range of Central System (mountain range of the center of the Iberian Peninsula) and was south of this chain of mountains that stood the Muslims domains based in Cordoba. As the Wattpad does not allow automatic inclusion of footnotes, I have informed at the end of each chapter the explanation of a typical ancient expression or personage that can generate doubts.
