《Ephemera | poetry》|My Lonely Long Drive|

These dew drop crystals,

Racing down my window side

A gift from the drowsy rain,

During my mirky long drive

My being soaked in hiraeth,

Under this blanket of cotton grey

With no warmth to cherish,

With no whisperings "it's okay"

This ash colouring the sky

Twins the gloom in my life,

Forever chases me around

Weaving bitter sweet lies

The milky white in between

These tufts of velvet grey

Makes my hopeless eyes dream,

Wishing hope finds a way

These blur silver linings ;

Sketched in my dark rhymes

Are these even real,

Or just myths of olden times

The brown in my eyes wonders

Will there ever be sunlight ?

That warm tingling gold,

Taming my wild greys and whites

So as seconds stretch by,

During my friendless long drive

My demons drip from my eyes,

In drops of silver and white

Just like my window side

Which harbors drops of rain

My heart tries like every time

To hold it's silver with in,

But the silver on this glass,

Is a blessing from the skies,

While the silver on my cheeks;

Feels like raging hell fire,

The heaven continues to cry,

Accompanying my swollen rosy eyes,

While my thoughts run astray;

During my lonely long drive.
