THIS WILL BE THE DAY CHAPTER 2

When team RWBY met Sun, they found an army of fawnists all willing to help them save Atlas. It was a happy reunion, not just a reunion, a party.

Blake: Sun! Is this what you call a few friends?

Sun: You needed my help and besides, I know you had to miss me. I didn't want to deprive you of my company. Oh, and I have another surprise. Sun turns and points behind him. Blake's parents are there in the crowd.

Blake: Mom! Dad! I can't believe it! Yang, Ruby, everyone, come and meet my parents.

For several minutes there are lots of introductions, hugs and high fives. Finally, Qrow pulls his schythe and smashes it hard to the ground. Everyone stops.

Qrow; Listen up! I hate to break up this party but, let's not forget what we are all here for. If everyone will come with me, I think we can help everyone get settled and after that, I want to meet with all the leaders.

As Raven returned to the bandit camp and transformed back to human, she heard someone behind her. She ignored it for a moment or two and pretended to be unaware. She could feel someone watching her; she could hear the faint steps as they followed her. She watched from the corner of her eye and at just the moment, she turned to catch her stalker.

Raven: What are you doing here?

Emerald: I'm here to avenge my friend!

Mercury: I think you know who sent us. You're going with us!

Raven puts her sword away because she doesn't consider either Emerald or Mercury a threat: Cynder was no friend to anyone. She used you. She wanted power and she would have done anything to get it. I don't care what Salem wants, I'm not going anywhere. She turns to walk away but Mercury starts to attack while her back is turned. Raven isn't fooled; she swings around with sword ready again and quickly pushes Mercury to the ground. She places one foot on his chest and points her sword at him.

Raven: Go home boy! Looking at Emerald, Both of you go home! You don't need to be mixed up in any of this. I don't want to hurt you. If you leave now, I will let you go but try something like that again, and no one will ever find your body.

Emerald: Go Home?! Is that it? We don't have a home thanks to you. Cynder was my friend. She took me in when I had no place to go and all she asked us for in return, was loyalty.

Raven: Yes, loyalty. As long as you did what you were told, you had a home with her. Am I right? Did you ask her what she would do if you refused? Salem is pure evil and Cynder was on her way to becoming just like her. She would have turned on you; believe me, I've seen it first hand. I'm sorry you don't have anyone. From what I've heard, you two would fit in well here... with us. I wouldn't require you to do anything you don't want to do...just earn your keep in whatever you chose to do. Here, we are a family. If that's what you are looking for, I'd be willing to give you a chance. You should know that I will never give in to Salem, nor will I ever be one of Ozpin's guinea pigs again. We answer to no one.

Mercury still struggling unable to get up: You don't stand a chance against Salem!

Raven scoffs: Do you think you do? It's your choice. She lets Mercury up.

Emerald: Why would we ever trust you? After what you did to Cynder? You pretend to know about her, but you don't know anything! Emerald creates a powerful vision. Raven sees Cynder, alive and well. She is surrounded by a large army of warriors and grimm and Salem is approaching behind her. Salem is enormous and towers over the trees. Cynder sets the whole camp on fire. In all of this, Raven doesn't move. She was surprised at first but she quickly realized that nothing she was seeing was real. She felt no rumble and no one else had come to see what the commotion was. This was all an illusion.

Raven: Is this supposed to scare me?

Mercury grabs Emerald by the arm: Come on Emerald! Let's get out of here. To Raven: You haven't seen the last of us!

Qrow and the rest of team RWBY had arrived back at Dr. Watson's. Several of the fawnists had joined them as well. When they arrived, they found Winter and Weiss in the living area with Ethan.

Everyone ohs and ahhs over Ethan. A few asked to hold him and Winter allowed it. Finally. Qrow called them all together for their meeting. Winter handed Ethan to Weiss. She took him away so the meeting could begin.

Qrow: Everyone here is a team leader. I think that Winter, may be the best person to help lead all of us. Winter...

Winter looks surprised: Our most important objective will be keeping Salem's forces from obtaining the relic. It is located here at the military academy. There are military personnel posted all around and at every gate into the city. In the past few months, there have been numerous grimm attacks. They began with air strikes and then by finding weaknesses at our borders. We will have airships to counter any flying enemy ships or grimm. General Ironwood has every available military person and unit to help cover battles on the ground. We also have many medical personnel and hunters on the ground ready to go at the first sign of an attack. We would like to divide up all other teams and station you all throughout the city. We have communication devices for all of you. If your team needs back up, please call us on these radios. I will be overseeing communications here and Qrow will be leading our team. General Ironwood will assign you all a location. General?

General Ironwood approaches the center of the room: If everyone will form a line here, I have mapped out what we have so far and I will tell each of you where your teams are needed. I want to thank you all for coming to support us. I wish we had this kind of support at Beacon. I've heard that many of you took part in the capture of the White Fang in Haven. Thank you all for what you did. You are the reason we were able to save Haven and thanks to you all, I believe we will save Atlas as well.

Everyone claps. Team RWBY and Dr. Watson bring out snacks for everyone. Their meeting has ended in a large party with laughing, eating, and good conversation. It was hard for anyone to believe that they were just hours away from the biggest battle they had faced yet. Everyone there was full of optism and hope. Everyone was ready to fight.

Illa was one of the fawnist leaders along with Sun and Blake's Father. Blake spent time with all of them. She and Illa were friends again and this was the first time in a long time that they could laugh and have fun together. Illa pulled Blake aside to talk serious for a moment.

Illa: Blake, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but there is news about Adam. He has gained more followers again and is putting together a new team. I'm afraid .... sooner or later he will show up here...and he's coming after you. You're in danger. It's possible he might have aligned himself with Salem.

Blake: Thank you for telling me but I already knew that I would have to face him again some day. I will be ready. Don't worry about me. I've got lots to help.

That night as the sun began to set, the sky suddenly lit up with fire. Many large grimm broke through the borders and soon the city was flooded. Hazel was back and he was after Ozpin. Tyrian and Watts were both there as well. As the fighting broke out Qrow searched for Winter.

Qrow: Winter, Winter?!

Winter: I'm here. I've got Ethan! It's ok.

Qrow: Please, stay here! Take care of Ethan. Qrow kisses Winter and Ethan before running out to join the fight. Qrow finds most everyone already engaged in battle. Qrow spots Tyrian approaching Ruby and intercepts him. Why don't you pick on someone your own size?

Tyrian: Qrow, just the guy I was looking for!

Qrow: Really, I thought you only attacked defenseless women and children.

Tyrian: Hahaha! He laughs with glee. I'm going to kill you and then, then they will be defenseless. Once I've got you out of the way, I will introduce the girl to Salem.

Qrow: Over my dead body! He flicks his hair and takes a strong battle stance. He pulls his sword and waits for Tyrian to make the first move.

Tyrian: Precisely! He says laughing and with that he strikes at Qrow and misses. Qrow teases him by quickly jumping away from his attacks. Tyrian becomes angry and tries again. Qrow leads him allowing him to exhaust a lot of energy so he will grow tired. Qrow doesn't even break a sweat as Tyrian lamely charges at him. After dozens of failed attempts, Tyrian is weak and exhausted. Finally growing tired of the games, Qrow slashes Tyrian amputating one arm. Tyrian shreiks with pain but continues to attack. Qrow then changes his weapon and pulls out his schythe. He goads Tyrian into charging. This time Qrow catches Tyrian in the abdomen. He continues with every ounce of energy he can muster striking to sting Qrow but fails. Finally, Qrow catches him again and this time, he beheads Tyrian. He falls. Qrows looks around for his next opponent.

Winter is getting anxious inside listening to the radio. She can hear the battle and how intense it is. Many have died on both sides as more and more enemies arrive. Then, Winter sees Dr. Watson.

Winter: Dr. Watson, you aren't going out there now, are you?

Dr. Watson: No, my dear. I will be here and they will bring the injured to me until after...

Winter: Doctor, I have to go...

Dr. Watson: but Miss Schnee...

Winter: Doctor, I am a soldier; I have to fight. Please take care of Ethan until I return. He is sleeping. With that Winter is gone without giving the doctor a chance to object again.

By the time the Taiyang arrives in Atlas, the battle has already begun. His flight made an emergency landing and he had to make his way to the battle on foot. As he approached the city, he could see how terrible it was. He hadn't seen a battle this bad before. There were Alphas everywhere, airships and flying grimm continuing to arrive, and dead bodies from both sides littered the city. Multiples fires and smoke made the air thick. It was hard to see and even harder to breathe as he made his way to the main battle in the central part of the city.

Hazel finds Oscar. He takes a bunch of dust before striking.

Hazel: You! Why would you even allow him in your head? Sorry kid, it isn't anything against you but because of him, You have to die!

Oscar: I don't have a choice. You think I chose this! How could you work for that evil creature? Doesn't matter. I'm ready!

Hazel attacks and for a while Oscar avoids direct punches and even gets a few licks of his own in. Then Hazel gets more dust and grows even stronger. As he begins to overpower Oscar, Ruby notices and tries to reach him to help. Hazel pounds Oscar to the ground and jumps on him. Pinned under Hazel unable to move as Hazel punches him over and over, Oscar begins to lose conciousness. Ruby is close by.

Ruby: No! Leave Oscar alone! She shoots Hazel. He gets up stunned. Hazel gets more dust and charges at Ruby. Ruby speeds at him and swing her schythe. It misses and Hazel catches it and Ruby. He throws her several feets. Ruby lands with a hard thud. She is hurt but Yang has seen what happened and charges in next.

Hazel: Stay back! I don't want to hurt you. Oscar is the only one who needs to die today.

Yang: You are awfully sure of yourself! If you want to get the him, You have to go through me! Yang reaches to check on Ruby. Ruby groans and begins to get up as Yang helps her.

Ruby: Oscar! She stumbles over to him.

Hazel: Leave him to me! You two go on and you won't be harmed. This doesn't concern you.

Yang: Really? She's my sister! You attack her and you want me to let that go? Not in this lifetime!

Hazel is stunned: Your sister? Oscar is host to the man who killed my sister. You expect me to let that go? Not in this lifetime! Go, save your sister. Oscar is mine!

Oscar is coming to. Ruby shelters him.

Ruby: No! I won't let you!

Yang: You heard her. You go now! Before I lose my temper.

Hazel takes more dust and charges at Ruby attempting to push her away from Oscar but Yang flames up and hits him hard knocking him several yards away.

Yang: I warned you. Don't touch my sister!

Hazel flashes back in time remembering his sister before she died. He tears up. He looks at Yang and sees himself angered over his sister's death. He backs away and disappears.

Tai reaches the battle and finds the girls.

Tai: Yang! Ruby! He rushes to them and hugs them both tight.

Ruby: Dad! You're here!

Yang: Dad! Glad to see you but, no time to talk! Looking around they see that an enormous army of grimm surrounds them.
