《Mafia's Errand boy (Mxb)》Chapter 8: Again?

"Seriously? I have to do that?" I asked, my eyebrows raised in surprise. The boss nodded, his eyes piercing through me. "Mhm."

I rolled my eyes as I turned around. He expected me to clean an entire dining room the size of a football field, in 30 minutes?

God, I hate his guts.

Leonard held a broom in front of me. "Get to work. And after you're done, you'll scrub the floors, and make the granite table sparkle."

I glared at him. "Don't you have maids for this?"

He nodded. "You. Now hurry it up."

I gritted my teeth as I got straight to work. Curse everybody in this house! Curse the boss! Curse Lucas! Curse Reaper! Curse Leonard!

I hate my life.

As I silently cleaned, I couldn't stop thinking of my father and uncle. Or rather, how badly I wanted to strangle them.

It's their fault. I shouldn't be here. I should be out on a Saturday, going out with the boys.

Wait....

The boys!

When I first came to this hell hole, I had met 3 men.

They seemed like good people, and they could help me escape! But I would need a plan.... I mean, surely they could carry their cellphones with them! I could go to their work area and ask to use their phones!

Oh my god I'm stupid.

I was distracted, and accepted my life here, when I could've been escaping, successfully!

I hurriedly finished cleaning, and ran out the door, "Leonard, I'm done! I'm gonna go get some lunch! Cause I'm hungry!"

Leonard glanced at me, confused. "Okay?"

I smiled and ran out, to excited to stop. I passed by the workshops, until I spotted three men that looked very familiar.

"Oh, hey guys!" I chirped, smiling sweetly at them. They smiled, despite their confused gazes. "Where've you been? We haven't seen you in a while." Hunter pointed out.

I laughed before nodding. "I kinda need a favor. If I explain my situation to you, will you guys help me? No matter what?"

Al's cocked his head to the side. "Umm.... sure. As long as it isn't dangerous."

I waved my hand. "Of course it isn't. Do you guys know where I can get out of here? Like, the fastest way without going through the woods."

Hunter and Clay looked at each other, clearly surprised. "Well, uh, yeah. We come here with cars everyday. Why?"

I sighed before masking a smile. "I was sold here. The boss bought me, and I tried to escape, but I've been caught."

Al paused, his eyes meeting mine. "What? Wait, could you slow down?"

I nodded.

"Well, that explains a lot. The boss wouldn't hire a minor." Clay pointed out.

"But... how'd you come here? What did you do?"

"I didn't do anything! My father was a irresponsible, and my uncle and the boss conspired against him, in order to get me!"

Al's eyes widened. "Oh shit. Is this really happening?"

Clay nodded. "It is."

Hunter wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "No problem. We'll get you away from this sick bastard."

I raised an eyebrow suspiciously. "Really?"

He nodded. "How about you hide in the backseat of my car, and at the end of the day, we'll leave, with you still in the back. They'll look for you, but you'll be with us. It doesn't seem like they keep a close eye on you."

Clay and Al looked at each other, surprised by Hunter's quick plan.

"You'll really help me?" I asked, my eyes twinkling.

Hunter nodded. "Oh yeah! And could I borrow your cellphone?" I asked, forgetting my original plan.

Hunter nodded and handed me his cellphone.

I quickly dialed a number, and waited, until he finally picked up. "Hello?"

"The hell?! Where've you been, Casp?!"

I smiled at the voice.

"Hey Rylan. It's nice to hear your voice for a change."

This was going to work. I was gonna get out of here. By today! I really am so stupid.

"Mhm. Thanks. See you then!"

I turned to Hunter, my eyes tearing up. "Thanks." I whispered, truly thankful. Al smiled. "No problem. We knew the boss was shady. Just not this shady. We'll help you outta here."

I still couldn't believe how unreal this was. I was going home, my friends were going to help me, and everything would be alright!

I would get away from Lucas, the boss, Reaper.....

I would leave...

I would be happy....

But why does my heart hurt?

I hate them.... right?

I do hate them.

Yup.

I hate their guts.

I never want to see them again.

......
