《Mafia's Errand boy (Mxb)》Chapter 7: Crow

"Yup. I just.... wanna die. Ya know? I really don't feel like doing anything anymore..."

But the stupid squirrel just ran away. Geez, nobody wanted to listen to my problems. I sniffled before wiping my eyes with my sleeve.

"Why was I born in a family full of trash?" I asked an approaching crow. But it didn't answer. It just stared at me strangely.

I sighed before I heard a small crack. I turned and looked straight at Lucas, who was just staring at me.

"What do you want?" I grumbled, turning to the crow. "I... uh... didn't like how the conversation ended." Lucas explained before sitting next to me.

I rolled my eyes. "It ended quite nicely, if you ask me."

He shook his head. "Look, Caspian, we didn't mean for things to happen the way they did. Okay? We brought you here for a reason!"

I glared at him. "Why? Why did you bring me here? To be your... errand boy?"

Lucas nodded. "Yes. But we wanted... well.... you."

My eyes met his as I lifted a brow. "You wanted me for what? Sex? Well it's not happening."

Lucas sighed. "Well, we both felt attracted to you. And your uncle.... well.... he had helped us. But, I mean, it's better for you to stay here than stay with your father."

My eyes widened. "Who are you to decide that for me? You're the one that forced my dad to give me up! It's all your fault!"

Lucas shook his head. "No, we know what he did to you in the past. Your uncle has mentioned it. He had kicked you out multiple times and he neglected your needs as a child! We wanted to help!"

"Shut up." I demanded, my eyes avoiding his. "You wanted to help yourselves. What happened between me and my dad doesn't concern you. Now, please, leave me and my friend alone."

Lucas glanced at the crow that had remained by my side, and simply rolled his eyes. "Well, it doesn't matter what you want, really. Cause you belong here."

I rolled my eyes again. "Mhm. Sure."

He sighed before standing up. "Oh, and by the way, your first job is coming up. The boss is having a guest, and you'll need to help prepare."

I didn't answer. I just tried to lure the crow into my arms.

Lucas turned and walked off, much to my pleasure.

"God I hate that asshole." I said aloud.

"I heard that."

"Good."

"Finally done with your conversation with the crow?" My uncle asked when I walked towards him.

I sent a quickly glare at Lucas. He had told him!

"Yes, and might I say, he was quite intelligent. Even more than yourself." I insulted.

He laughed before patting my head, to which I quickly slapped away.

"Don't touch me." I ordered, still angry.

"I agree. Please do not touch what isn't yours."

I rolled my eyes. "I am most definitely not yours."

I turned, but was caught by surprise when I saw Reaper smiling at me. Beside him was our smirking boss.

"God, Arrow. You always snatch the good ones." I heard a third man say. Standing beside the two was a shorter man. His hair was a pale blonde, and his eyes were hazel.

He grinned at me, but I sneered at him. Did he just call the boss.... Arrow?

I turned to the boss and quickly glared. "Please, let's get the meeting started already." The boss requested. The man with the hazel eyes nodded in agreement.

"You're right. Olivia's waiting for me."

I silently watched as the two walked off. "Who was that?" I asked no one in particular.

"A very important ally of ours. His name is Julius." Reaper answered. I stared at him.

What did he mean by "snatch all the good ones?"

He better not be talking about me.

"The boss has a name?" I asked again, a laugh bubbling up inside me. Lucas nodded. "Arrow."

I laughed quietly.

Things just kept getting weirder and weirder.

I turned to Lucas and crossed my arms begrudgingly. "Now tell me."

He stared at me curiously. "Tell you what?"

"What exactly does an errand boy do?"

Lucas stared at me blankly, score my uncle started to laugh.

"Uhh.... he does odd jobs. He can send messages, help any employee, and serve the boss. It was probably mentioned that you would also make the king's meals, but you'll only start until after you are trained."

I sighed. "Sounds like a lot of work. Too much if you ask me."

"Or.... you could be a... uh... partner for the boss."

"Yeah, no. That will not be happening. Cleaning and cooking it is!"

Please. Someone. Anyone. Get me out of this hell.

Please!
