Will comes into the waiting room and looks around. There's no need for him to say anything about 'Jay Halstead's Family' since the whole waiting room consists of just that.

"His surgery was successful. We think he was walking to his car when it got hit. Luckily he was probably near the front and only got hit on his lower half. But the whiplash of it all took a toll on the whole situation. He won't be awake for awhile and isn't out of the blue just yet."

"Thank you Will."

"Erin follow me please."

I get up and follow him around the corner.

"He told me that you were making him stay at the house. Any idea why he was on the bridge?"

"I have no idea Will. I'm really worried about him."

"He'll make it through. I promise."

I nod and he puts a hand on my shoulder for support.

"Can I see him?"

"Yeah, follow me."

I follow him to Room 354. I make sure to note it. Seeing Jay in all those bandages and wires hooked to him is just hard to look at. I go to the chair next to his bed and sit down. I lay my head down on his bed and hold his hand.

I wake up to hearing my name. "Erin.....Erin" I hear Jay coughing to get my name out.

"What? What is it? Do you need something?"

"I'm sorry Erin. I just wanted to get out of the house. I didn't think I'd end up like this."

"Hey hey, it's okay. It's not your fault."

No time like the present. Here goes nothing, I guess.

"Erin."

"Yes?"

"Will you marry me?"
