"You trust me, right?" Xander asked me and looked straight into my eyes while holding my hands firmly.

Tears slipped down my eyes but I nodded, nonetheless.

"I do" I mumbled, making sure I didn't stutter.

I have to be powerful, just like safe, I can't go on stuttering out of fear.

"Good, I'm glad you do. I've checked Alex and it's not serious, it really isn't. We just need to get some blood bags for him and we're good to go. It's all in control, take a deep breath" Xander said, pulling me into a bear hug.

"Don't worry, we're all rooting for him, he has all of us here for him" I pulled back and gave Xander a small smile.

"It'll be okay, I-it'll be okay" I consoled the both of us and tried to keep track of my voice just then the doors of the private ward opened and Maya came running inside with Mary on her toe.

Maya immediately shook Xander roughly, with a frightened expression on her face, "Xan, what happened to hi-?"

"Sir?" All of us turned to see the doctor come out of the emergency unit and rushed towards him.

"Dr Smith, I hope everything's in control?" Xander asked, his personality suddenly switched into a calm and composed one.

"Yes sir, everything is in control except we need to call up the blood bank, we have one packet of blood matching Mr Alex's but we need one more and it might take slightly longer" Xander sighed, and looked around for the staff of "Jake, I believe I have the blood groups of my close family registered in MY OWN HOSPITAL and I've made it clear that I don't care what the situation is, those blood types should always be available!"

The staff, Jake looked down nervously, "Sir, we do have more blood but it has expired, I apologise, sir, I have already placed an urgent order for type A- blood type. it'll be here within six hours"

"I can donate, my blood type is A-" Mary exclaimed, making everyone surprised.

Mary looked at Xander and smiled, "you can trust me on this one, I am pretty health and helping that kid out will only bring me peace."

Maya stepped forward and engulfed Mary into a hug, "thank you, thank you so much for saving my brother"

Mary smiled, " Sierra is, even though not by blood, my daughter which makes Alex my son. Why would a mother question helping her son?"

Maya wiped her tears and nodded while she continued to smile, "I'll get the arrangements set up, please get changed" Xander told Mary and left to do the needed.

"Sierra?" I turned and look up at Maya, "yes?"

"Darling, I'll call in the board of directors and call off the party tonight, alright?" I closed my eyes for a moment and let these things that had happened so far sink in.

"No," I said and looked straight into Mary's eyes, "I mean, I'll call them" I rectified and saw Mary frown.

I knew she didn't understand, no one understood.

No one understood that safe wanted me to be strong, he wanted me to rule and right now, I need to resume my position.

I can't continue hiding, it's my turn to serve.

I quickly pulled out safes' phone made a call to his assistant letting him know about the situation.

The assistant sent me the link and said that he'd let everyone know through a virtual conference meeting and that I could join in if I wanted to.

I put down the phone and immediately got the link, you can do this Sierra.

I closed my eyes sometimes and thought of Safe, "You can do this, princess"

I can do this.

I joined the meeting kept my camera off, not letting anyone know I was here.

"-postponed because Mr Taylor is currently in the hospital, I hope you all understand," Safe's assistant said.

"I understand that, but if Mr Taylor is unwell, who'll look into the market tomorrow? It was planned well ahead of schedule that we will be trading in cryptocurrency tomorrow. The marks are very unstable, without Mr Vega it will be a mess" One of the stakeholders pointed out making the assistant sigh.

"Sir, in that case, we will have to postpone the plan. I'm sure, Mr Taylor will be able to cope up with all the losses once he's back to work" the assistant said with an apologetic smile making the shareholder scoff.

"Mr Taylor has a well-established company already, the best in the world which already has a reputation but this, this company is new. We have just recently received all the funds, we won't be able to cope with losses right now" the shareholder argued, with a tone which wasn't calm anymore making the assistant frown.

"But sir, there's no other way you have to under-"

"Good evening everyone, tomorrow's crypt currency will take place as decided, nothing will happen to your funds," I said, my camera now switched on and my voice void of any emotions.

"Excuse me Miss, who do you think, you are?" The shareholder said, chuckling.

"Sierra Taylor, Chief Financial Officer. You don't have a-anything to worry about, rest assured you have me backing you up. I'll take care of the trade tomorrow." I said and covered up my stuttering while acting as though I was clearing my throat.

"What? Ms Taylor? Chief financial officer?" Another shareholder popped in making me sigh.

"Mrs Taylor, and yes, I am the Chief financial officer. Don't worry, you're trusting someone with three majors and a Certified Public Accountant. If that doesn't reassure you, I'll let you know that I have a egree in Blockchains and Cryptocurrency from an Ivy League university." I said, my voice now monotone and Vaid.

"M-Mrs Taylor, I didn't know Mr Taylor was married. I apologise, and y-yes we trust you, thank you" the stakeholder who was earlier irked said and slightly bowed.

"Great, let's end this meeting," Safe's assistant said and smiled at everyone.

I exited the meeting and sighed, my heartbeat now faster than ever before.

Mrs Taylor, I told everyone I was Mrs Taylor and it felt right.

"You did well, look at me pull out my proud brother smile," Xander said and turned me to face him.

"I-I was nervous, did not want to stutter," I said, looking down at the ground only to have Xander pat my head lovingly, "you won, that's what's important, I am and always be very proud of you, Sierra. Always remember that"

I smiled, feeling genuinely happy and pulled Xander with me to the room Mary was in, getting ready to donate.

"Darling, don't worry about me. I'm completely fine." Mary said, looking at my worried face.

"I'm okay, I know you'll be okay. There's no chance Xander will make any mistakes and you all are here with me. I'm okay, I really am" I said and helped Mary lay down while Xander started the procedure.

"He's awake now, go talk to him." Xander prompted, making me nod.

After Mary donated her blood, the whole procedure went down and now, six hours later, Safe finally gained conciseness.

I pushed the door open and there he laid, his lips, shades lighter than they usually were and skin paler in complexion.

Before Safe could notice me, I ran up to the opposite side from where he was injured and immediately hugged him, being careful of the wires connected to him.

I need him, by my side.

I needed to recharge, I could only go on being strong for so long.

Soon enough, I felt Safe's hand on my head, no one spoke. We stayed like that, for an hour or so, besides each other...recharging.

The sudden noise of the door opening startled me, making me and Safe wake up only to see Xander come in with a plate full of fruits.

"Hello, Mr-I-am-almighty" Xander teased coming to my side with the plate full of fruits making Alex roll his eyes at Xander's initial comment.

"For Safe?" I asked looking at the huge plate that could feed almost four people, making Xander smile, "no, Mrs Alex Taylor, that's for the both of you"

My face immediately heated up from the way Xander addressed me making me look down so that my hair covered my red face.

"What's, that about?" Safe asked, look at me and then at Xander.

"Don't you know? My little sister, right here, very bravely declared it publicly that she's Mrs Alex Taylor and took over as the Chief executive Officer?" Xander said, exposing me.

I turned, slightly, and put my foot right over Xander's making him jump and exclaim, "god woman, stop being violent, it's not like I'm lying"

A second later, I felt unstable hands push my hair behind my ear and with that Safe held my chin gently, turning me to look at him, "you did all that?"

I remained silent, hoping that the silence would amount to a 'yes'

"I feel like a third wheel, by-, " Xander said, but Safe immediately stopped him.

"Stop acting, you haven't eaten either and I'm pretty sure Maya and Mary haven't either. Call everyone inside and order more food!" Alex commanded, making Xander frown.

"You have something that's keeping a track of me? Don't even try lying, how do you know?" Safe smirked, at Xander's questions.

"Doesn't take a lot of time to read idiots, incase you're wondering, I also know that you want to talk to me, so call everyone inside. Let's have dinner and discuss" Safe said making Xander's mouth open in surprise.

"You know what? I'm going to go tell Maya, you call us idiots. Wait for it" Xander exclaimed walking out of the room with stomping feet making me giggle.

"So Mrs Taylor, when are we making things official? For once, I can't wait" Safe said, taking me by surprise, my face immediately reddened again and I decided to drink some water and calm myself down.

"After some time" I mumbled, softly, taking a sip of my water.

"What's 'after some time' supposed to mean? One week? One month? One year? Don't make me wait for one year, It'd be too long for me to wait and see how our tiny selves would look, I'm not a patient man" the moment Safe finished his sentence, I choked on the water I was drinking and coughed roughly.

I looked up at Safe and saw him smiling at me, "it's so easy to make you flustered, princess. Don't worry, I was joking. I hope you know, that we will take everything at your pace, whatever makes you happy, makes me happy"

I nodded, secretly smiling and drank some more water. I put the water down and helped Safe sit down so that he could eat once everyone was here.

"Princess, there's something hard kept on my other side, do you mind taking it out?" Safe requested and I immediately bent over him to see what was bothering him, only to see that a notebook was kept on the bed instead of the side table.

I bent a little more and put the notebook on the side table and pulled slightly back to see Safe staring at me, making me wiggle my eyebrows at him.

A smile broke out on Safe's face, making him look like the most beautiful person I'd ever seen. Now that I'd seen a good amount of people in real life, I feel confident saying Safe is quite literally Adonis. when he smiles, his entire face brightens up.

Without giving it a second thought, I placed a quick peak on Safe's lips and pulled back making Alex stop and stare at me. Just then, the door open and everyone came inside.

"Addy! Addy, are you okay?" Ian whimpered and climbing up the bed and holding Alex's face between his small ones, squishing Safe's cheeks making everyone smile at the sight.

"I'm fine, Ian. Don't worry, why are you crying?" Safe asked making Ian pout, "mom said, and you were hurt like I get hurt when I play. Ian loves Addy, so no one should hurt Addy's" Ian explained, making everyone aww at him.

Maya came forward and pulled Ian off the bed, "it's okay baby, your Addy is completely fine"

A staff came in and put down a few more plates of food and everyone settled in, "Mary, I want to apologise to you publicly, I realise I've been way to protective of princess and in that process, probably hurt you." Safe said, slightly bowed out of respect making him wince.

"oh, no- are you okay?" Mary immediately stood up before I could and walked up to Safe helping him law back again.

"I said this today morning and I'll repeat it, I have given all my motherly love to Sierra as she's grown up, she's isn't like my daughter. She is my daughter and the fact, that someone out there is ready to put my daughters need before his own is all I could have ever asked for. Alex, I know that I don't know your likes and dislikes very well, but I know I can proudly call you my son, you never need to bow down to me again-" Mary continued making me shred a few happy tears.

"I'm sorry, but I need to say this, right now" Xander suddenly interrupted, making everyone look at him.

"Alex, the person who donated blood for you today was Mary and like usual, I ran it through tests for a check-up and as accidental as it might seem, the DNA is a perfect match"

Safe frowned at Xander's statement, "what are you getting at?"

Xander took a deep breath, "Mary is your biological mother"
