Adriana's POV:

*be* SHUT THE F*CK UP! I groaned as I turned off the alarm

I buried my head in the soft pillow, Ugh I want to sleep forever.

I slowly removed the pillow and opened my eyes, my view was a blank white ceiling.

I was starting to panic about the fact that this isn't my room but it hit me that THIS is my room now...

No more lavender colored walls and deep purple ceiling with white orientals on it..

Just this,

off-White colored walls, and blank white ceilings.

I shouldn't be complaining though, the apartment is pretty spacious, two bed rooms, kitchen, living room, and two bathrooms. The furniture is very vintage and classic, however the kitchen is designed like the modern ones.

I'm thankful I even have my own apartment now, Luca said I don't even have to pay rent, all I'll pay for is food, which I won't be needing much because the fridge and cabinets are full of all kinds of food. Trust me it was the first thing I checked when I got here

Okay enough talking to myself

I grabbed my phone and checked the time

7:05A.M

I need to be in my office at work at exactly 8:00A.M

I jumped up from my bed and headed straight to the bathroom for a quick shower, I grabbed a towel from the cabinet and turned on the tap to medium heat

I stripped down and got into the shower

I don't know why but I feel so self conscious, I feel like I'm being watched... I know I'm not but I'm just so not used to this.. I miss my old bathroom and old tub

When I finally finished I grabbed the towel and wrapped it around my body, then headed straight to my room to get ready

Right as I was unwrapping it I heard the door bell ring

Oh shit

I quickly re-wrapped myself, and slid my feet in the soft cotton slippers then left my room to see who was at the door

What time is it? What if I'm late and that's Luca waiting at door for us to leave to work?!

I peeked through the peephole and my stomach dropped, my heart beats skyrocketed and my eye balls widened the size of my ego

Oh my goodness am I dreaming? Hallucinating? Am I blind? Anything?

No? Then Why is Noah freaking Massarotti standing outside my door?

"bonita I know you're in there, open the door" he called

His voice.. I missed this voice

I placed my trembling hands on the knob and twisted it, unlocking it. I opened the door widely and he instantly looked up at me

I swallowed a lump in my throat when our eyes locked

I mustn't show him I'm nervous.. I'm confident, act confident Adriana

"Ahem" I cleared my throat "Noah Massarotti, are you lost?"

"I'm pretty sure I'm where I want to be linda, such a pleasant greeting though, yes?"

Linda.. Pretty sure my heart just skipped a beat, or a hundred

"You are? Well then what are you doing here?" I asked trying to sound confident but it came out rather shaky

His eyes left mine and traveled across my body, my very exposed body

He licked his lips

"Don't be shy bella, me and you both know how badly you want to drop the towel, do it there are no strangers here, now come on let me in or are you willing on keeping me outside?" he winked and my eyes widened and I felt heat rush to my cheeks

"Noah, I don't intend to be hostile but it looks like you're giving me no other choice, so leave, you're not welcome here now, I have work to go to, you're only making me late, and annoyed. Flirt with me once again and I swear you'll get to taste your own d*ck" I said in a loud clear voice,

Before he could say anything, I heard my name being called

My head snapped towards the direction of the voice, so did Noah's

Moments later Luca appeared at the end of the hallway

F*ck.

He made his way towards us and stopped right next to Noah

"Well well, Noah, I think you have forgotten that my apartment was on the fourth floor not third one, or maybe you didn't come here to see me" he smiled then looked at me

His eyebrows twisted when he saw what I was wearing, actually not wearing

"Adriana, chica why aren't you dressed yet? unless you want to be late on your first day of work, you better hurry inside and get dressed within ten minutes" he said dryly

"Buenos días Luca, I'm pretty sure you're not the only resident in this building, and I'm not a little kid I know where I'm headed" Noah said sarcastically

"Well not anymore... so good then, but try not to visit others at such an early hour, if you don't want your lovely friend here being fired you might want to visit her at night"

"I can visit here whenever I want to, Luca."

Oh god the tension

"Uhm I'm going to get dressed... But I'll be praying for you both to find your chill, I'll be ready in 5, so excuse moi" I said and rushed inside closing the door behind me

What the hell just happened?

Noah's POV:

I watched her as she rushed inside, gripping tightly at the towel wrapped around her like her life depended on it

She's so precious

I then looked beside me and automatically rolled my eyes at Luca

He's like a brother to me, yes but it seems like his attitude changes when Adriana is around

Maybe I'm wrong, but it happened twice already

"Noah, when you said you will be visiting regularly I didn't expect it to be literally the next day after we left, but I will not say I was not expecting you, because I was" he said

"¡Bravo! and did I say regularly? I meant daily"

"No problem hermano, it's good because we do have common business to deal with" he said

"Don't worry Luca, when I intend to come here for business I'll make sure you know I'm coming here for you, currently I'll be coming here to check on Adriana"

"Ok, I see...oh and Noah I have a question for you"

"Go ahead"

"Care to tell me why literally the whole world is searching for Adriana Lockwood?"

Oh.

"Don't worry primo, i won't let her see the news and already made sure nobody at the company utters a word about this issue, because I know she's too important for you to lose her, no?"

"Aha, and what do you mean by me losing her, primo"

"Noah we both know that Adriana has no idea that her mother is it still quite alive and searching for her, and you've been hiding the truth all along, and if she finds out, poof, gone"

"You really think I-" I was saying but instantly stopped when I heard footsteps nearing the door

Moments later it flew open and Adriana came out

She was wearing a very f*cking sexy business attire, a black pencil skirt and white top with a black blazer

Damn she looks so fine

My eyes dropped to her feet and my eyebrow rose and I bit back a laugh

"Adriana... What are you wearing mi cariño?" I asked

"I'm sure you're not blind and can clearly see what I'm wearing.. If you mean my shoes...Well, I'm not willing to wear heels that will paralyze me after five hours at work, my comfort comes first, so yes, I'm wearing white converse with a classy business outfit, good? Let's go Luca we're late aren't we?" She said and looked up at Luca who satisfyingly nodded

"You look great Adriana, no problem, pretty creative. I like the way you think" Luca said then he stepped closer to Adriana and wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her to his side

"You're right, we're late. Now excuse us Noah but we need to go, I'm sure you have some important business to deal with, like your club downtown, heard its been losing its customers"

"Rumors are rumors Luca, don't believe everything you hear, the club is as successful as ever, with the return of the best stri**er I've ever hired, Yolanda, business have been as great as ever, and you're excused to go" I said and gave them a small smile then left

But I didn't miss the look on adriana's face when I mentioned Yolanda

Knew she's not so fond of her..

Noah, why are you acting like a hormonal teenage boy that's desperately trying to get the girl he likes by making her jealous? And you're really going to let one girl get between you and Luca, someone who is like a brother to you? Someone you do actually love?

My inner thoughts are the worst but also the truest... Why am I going after Adriana anyway? She seems happy with her new life

Maybe because you love her and she's the only woman you've ever loved after your mom?

I'm not capable of love though

I have ruined her and made her life a living hell and now with Luca being in the picture, and the sl*t she calls mother I'm sure I'll lose her

Lose her? I already lost her, heck I never even had her

I lost something so beautiful, I lost a feeling I've never experienced before, well not in the same way

My father was right about this thing, love makes you weak... Maybe that's why he stopped loving people and started focusing on his own life, fell in love with materialistic things he owned

So I should give Adriana up

I'm sure she doesn't even need me in her life, she's a tigresa, a fighter, nobody can fight her, so she'll be fine without me

But something within me is telling me not to give her up, whereas something more powerful is saying I should

Adriana's POV:

I'm an idiot, a complete f*cking idiot!

Why did I treat him like that? Why am I even trying to push him away when all I want is for him to be close?

"Adriana, remember you'll be working as my personal assistant for now, but your wage is quite high for your position, your office is right outside mine, you get to leave when I leave, and sometimes I might dismiss you earlier... Other than that you're free to do whatever and go wherever you want, good?" Luca said pulling me out of my haunting thoughts right as the car came to a halt

"Yes, got it, gracias Luca" I offered him a smile and he smiled back

My door opened and I got out

I let my eyes wander around the place.. Woah.

The location of the company is just perfect, let alone the company's building itself...

"Let's go" he called and I nodded and followed him

Right as we entered, me behind Luca, all the employees we passed started standing up from their seats

"Buenos dias jefe!"

"Buenos dias Luca!"

"Luca, hola!"

All the employees started calling and he just smiled and nodded without saying anything back

They didn't even notice me, they instantly went back to work on what they were doing after greeting Luca

We finally reached an elevator and we got in, wtf... 16 floors.

We stopped at the 16th floor.

Yikes, did I ever mention that I FEAR HEIGHTS!

"Don't be nervous Adriana, you'll be great" Luca said and I looked up at him and smiled weakly

We got out and came face to face with a middle aged man

"Ahh, Luca! buenos dias, haven't seen you in a while, but don't worry everything has been very successful, the markets are going insane and are craving our items!" He said

"Buenos dias Monty, yes I know that, I knew I hired a great CEO before I left the country, you did my company good, gracias" Luca said and then patted monty's shoulder

"Thank you for putting your faith and trust in me" Monty smiled

Meanwhile I was standing next to Luca awkwardly

Monty's eyes suddenly landed on me

"Ohh, what do we have here? New employee?" Monty asked, his eyes going back to Luca

"yes, this is Adriana Lockwood, my new personal assistant, Adriana this is Monty, the CEO of the company" Luca introduced

"Oh, hello Monty" I said and shook his hand

"Ohhh the famous Adriana Lockwood.. Knew I've seen this face before!" He said and I looked at him confusedly and Luca started coughing

Famous? Famous for what?

"Calm down cheetah, don't worry, your mind went some places huh? By famous I meant that Luca already told us about you" Monty laughed and I let out a sigh of relief

"Phew... I was really worried, you would think in the same way I did if you knew what my past job was..." I joked

"Haha, don't worry I already do know it, also I know your past boss, anyway I was heading down, have a good day Luca, and good luck on your first day Adriana" he said and I smiled

"Gracias" I said

"Adios, I'll catch up with you later Monty, we have a meeting in two hours" Luca said and Monty nodded then got in the elevator

We continued walking and stopped in front of a glass door

"This will be your office" Luca said as he opened the door and we both entered

There was another door in the office, Luca opened it and it lead to a very much bigger office "and this is mine" he said and I nodded

"Very well..." I said

"I'll call one of the employees to help you settle in and to teach you on everything technical here" he said and then entered his office

I followed him inside

"Louis, i need you to be here within a minute, you will help out miss Lockwood like we already discussed" Luca said through the phone on his table then looked up at me

"Louis, one of the employees will be here soon, you can meet him outside and he'll know what to do, I'll let you know when I need you" Luca said then he sat down on his huge leather chair

"Okay, thank you" I said and left the office closing the door behind me

Damn my office is the size of a sardine can, his is the size of the fking ocean

"Ahem" I heard a loud cough that caught my attention and looked at the door

A tall quite handsome man in a suit stood there, looks like he's in his late twenties

"Hello, come in please" I said

"Hello, Adriana right?" He said and got in

I shook his hand when he offered it

"Yes Adriana, you're Louis right?" I smiled

"True.. Now let's get to work, you have a lot to learn, but don't worry all simple and won't take much time"

"Oh I have all the time in the world.. Trust me" I joked and he let out a small laugh

"Good then... Let's get started then" he said and went to stand behind the table

I went around it and took my seat, that was next to him

Well... This shall be interesting

-four hours later-

I was starting to fall asleep when I heard the door being opened

My head instantly snapped up and I twirled around in my seat, I instantly stopped myself with my feet

"Hahahhaha, Adriana don't tell me you fell asleep" Luca said and I was too nervous and embarrassed to say anything

When I finally found my words I said "uhm, ok fine yes, it's only because you haven't ringed me yet, and I've been sitting here alone for two hours... Omg wait... Did you ask for something and I didn't answer that's why you're here? I'm sorry omg don't fire me!" I ranted quickly

"Woah no stop, I'm here because it's lunch break and I'm going out to eat, and thought about asking you to go with me, I don't like eating alone" he said and instantly calmed down them felt excited all over again at the mention of food

"YES, I mean yea sure lets go then"

"You're very amusing you know that" Luca said

"Not really, I'm such an embarrassing sloth but hey thanks" I said and stood up from my place

Lol I didn't even bring a purse with me, but who cares, Luca will be paying

I reached him and opened the way for me to go first

"belles first" he winked and I smiled

"Hihi, thank you Luca"

Then we both started walking together, a lot of employees were also leaving to eat, some were ordering on the phone

This is fun

I could easily get used to this new life style..

Wow, I have a normal life now..

But I couldn't help but wonder one thing

What is Noah doing right now?
