《Pink and Yellow - Trimberly》Chapter 23

"Spill."
"Uh..."
After the Black Ranger rudely dragged Trini and I back to the pit, he sat us down to interrogate us. Billy and Jason were close by sparring, Billy surprisingly taking the upper hand.
"Well?" Zack sat with his back against a stone, arms crossed.
The Yellow Ranger glanced at me with a shy smile. At least she didn't seem too uncomfortable. As for me, I was squirming on the cold floor of the pit in front the Black Ranger and beside the Latina. I honestly didn't know what to say without breaking some boundaries.
"Um, I don't really know what to say right now." I mumbled, cupping the back of my neck awkwardly.
"I told Kim all my secrets and she told me that she's in love with me." Trini bluntly answered while shrugging.
Zack's jaw went completely slack. I just looked over to the girl next to me (who I happen to be in love with) in shock. If she wasn't already open before, who knows what's going to come spilling out of her mouth.
"Oh, and I feel the same way too." She finished.
The Black Ranger's has dropped even further than I thought possible.
That's when I noticed everything around us was silent. The normal grunting and groaning in the background disappeared. Knowing this, I turned to see Billy and Jason both with their jaws dropped. I raised my eyebrows not impressed. Looking back at Zack, he retrieved his composure and smirked.
"What?" I spoke finally finding my voice.
"It's happening!" He abruptly stood up and ran to Jason. "I think you owe me 10 bucks."
"What?" Trini and I exclaimed simultaneously then sharing a grin before turning our attention towards the boys.
"Yeah. Zack and I made a bet saying that you would say "I love you" first. Winner gets $10." Jason informed us.
"That's right. So pay up, man."
"I'll get it later, I don't have it on my right now. I didn't think it would've happened now."

I chuckled at the sight of our friends bickering over the bit of money. Billy was looking back and forth between them, very entertained. I took this opportunity to grab the Yellow Ranger away from them and jump out of the pit.
We ran back to my house, giggling almost the entire way. Entering my still broken window, I take the other girl's hand and lead her to my bed. We collapsed on the mattress, stuck in a fit of laughter. I don't even know what we were laughing about but it was nice being able to share that goofy side with the Latina.
"I can't believe the boys made a bet on us." I spoke after calming down.
"Oh, I can." Trini replied. "Zack has been teasing us for how long now? He's elated at the news."
I chuckled. "Yeah, I should've expected that from him."
Silence followed after. Definitely not awkward nor uncomfortable. It's just enjoying the other person presence. Knowing that she's here physically and emotionally, and knowing that she's safe.
I took her hand and traced the top of her knuckles lovingly. I saw her smile out of my peripheral vision and that made me smile. We stayed in the position for who knows how long before I was the first to break the silence.
"Are you worried every time youhave to go home?"
"I am home." She said making my cheeks heat up.
I laughed softly trying to play off how much of an effect she has on me. "I meant you're actual home."
This caused her to prop her elbows up to look down at me right in the eye. "But I am home."
"I don't think I completely understand."
She took a deep breath before continuing. "The way I look at it, a person's home isn't the place they are living in. It's who they are with or live with. It could be a sibling, a friend, family member, just whoever they feel safe with and love." She thought for a moment. "The place I'm living in, is a house. Nothing more. Like I said earlier about my mother, she's my mother, not my mom. This is a house, not my home."

My breath hitched in my throat at her words. That was her way of saying "I love you" I realised. Tears threatened to fall but I held them back with all my power. I wasn't going to cry. Not now anyway.
"I love you too." I whispered.
She grinned causing my stomach flutter and my heart beat faster. She knew I understood and that was enough for her.
"We've come a long way, haven't we?" She questioned.
"Yeah. Yeah we have."
"I remember when I was terrified of talking to you because I feared the consequences so greatly." The Latina spike while resting her head on her palm still facing me.
"You don't now, of course."
"Of course not. Even if something were to happen, I knew everything would be okay. As long as I'm with you, I'll be safe."
With that, I caught her off guard by cupping the back of her neck and pulling her down so my lips could meet hers. She was surprised at first but reciprocated immediately. I rolled on my back and pulled her with me so she was on top. I had my right leg bent and my left leg out straight. Her hips rested against mine and both her hands were on either side of my face.
Grabbing her waist with my free hand, I brought her down even closer than before. She kissed me so passionately it made me feel lightheaded. I don't think she has a clue how much she affects me. Every small and simple touch makes my skin burn, but having her lips move in perfect synch with mine makes my body crave more.
The Yellow Ranger pulled away slightly to gasp for air. We were both completely out of breath. But I wasn't able to catch my breath for long because she kissed me again more passionately if that were possible. My tongue then licked her bottom lip asking for entrance. She was going to be a tease and didn't allow access. So I placed my hand on her lower back and flipped us over. Now I was on top.
She gasped slightly at the quick change and I used that opportunity to slide my tongue in her warm mouth. Our tongues fought for dominance which I was determined to win and I did. I roamed her mouth for a little while longer then bit down on her lower lip and pulled away releasing it with a pop.
As I pulled away, I opened my eyes. Instead of her chocolate orbs, I was met with nearly completely black voids that I felt like I could fall into at any moment. Her breathing was quickened but so was mine. I knew I was probably being a tease but at the moment, I just wanted this and nothing more. Expressing our feelings and emotions without clothes being ripped off each other. Although that would be hot. I'll keep that in mind.
But being with her was enough and I was satisfied. I looked down at her and smiled a smile which she reciprocated. I leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her lips, slowing the fast pace we had before. It was small and soft but it was everything. It meant so much to me.
I pulled away and rested my forehead against hers sighing contently. If I told my past self that I would later meet four other teenagers and become Power Rangers, I would tell myself that I'm one-hundred percent insane.
If I told my past self that one of those four teenagers was the person I would fall so deeply in love with, maybe, just maybe I'd believe it.

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
