《Pink and Yellow - Trimberly》Chapter 14

"I really don't wanna go to school."
"It's Sunday..."
"Yes, I know. This is the day students miss the weekends."
"You're so dramatic. But hey, we don't have detention anymore."
"Miss Norris is so clever." I rolled my eyes. "I can't believe she did this. I can't believe she survived this long."
Kimberly laughed. "She's not that old. But what did she do? Give us an assignment to make us pay attention?"
"No, you doorknob. She played matchmaker. She played us like a hand in poker."
"I wasn't there Monday when you first had detention but what did you guys talk about? Something about a puzzle."
"Yep. She told me there'd be someone to crack me open. To put all the pieces together. That someone would be you. She set us up."
"Oh, nice."
"Yeah, sure."
The Pink Ranger and I laid on her bed in her big room. It was about 11 o'clock and we've yet to eat breakfast. We woke up at 10 something but decided to stay and chat for a while.
"You hungry yet?" I asked.
"I guess a little."
"We should eat something. I'm starting to get hungry."
"But I'm so comfortable." Kimberly whined.
We were cuddled up under the covers. Her head laid on my chest and an arm wrapped loosely around my torso. I was very comfortable myself but hungry. I escaped the taller girls hold and slipped out of bed. She groaned and stood up with me. We went downstairs to have a mixture of breakfast and lunch.
"So, what are we gonna do today?" She asked.
"Not sure. Whatever you want I guess."
"We could... We could call over the boys again. That was pretty fun."
I took a bite of my cereal and nodded. "Sounds good. I think I should head back to my house for a bit actually. I feel like I need to wear my own clothes."
She chuckled. "That's fine. We could always go out shopping if y-"
"Nope."
"Ok but what if-"
"No way. I hate shopping."
"Ugh. Fine."
"When should I come back over?"
"Whenever you're ready. "She shrugged. "Should we call the boys or barge into their houses?"
"Lets barge into their house. You think they are all at Billy's?"
"We should check Jason's first. I think they might be there."
"Alright cool." I placed my bowl in the sink. "I'll see you later then." I waved and walked out of her house.
I ran to my home and burst through the door. My parents weren't home. Good. I stripped of Kimberly's clothes and jumped in the shower. When I finished, I entered my bedroom and put on my own clothes. I wore dark jean shorts, a black tank top, and my yellow bomber jacket. I wrapped a black and white plaid shirt around my waist to finish the look.

I was about to leave when I saw Kimberly's clothes out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look at them and stood there, completely zoned out. I thought about where she and I was in our relationship. We've kissed a few times and last night in particular got really heated. We stopped before anything happened but we never talk about it. I wonder if bringing it up would make it awkward. It's obvious now that we like each other more than friends but it's just complicated.
I came out of my own little world and grabbed Kimberly's clothes to return to her. I walked back over to her house and jumped through her window. She was laying on her head reading. Once she saw me, she hopped up and greeted me.
"Hi, again." She put her book down on her nightstand.
"Hey. Here's you're clothes." I handed them to her. "So, where to?"
"Let's walk to Jason's but on the way there I need to stop at the Pharmacy. I gotta headache and I'm out of stuff for it."
"Lead the way, Princess."
-
"What's better, Aspirin or Advil?"
"Honestly, Kim, you are asking the worst person." I chuckled. "How bad is it?"
"I don't know. Pretty bad."
"Like on a scale of one to ten?"
"Seven."
"Ok then. I still don't know."
"Wow thanks, Trini"
"Sure. Why don't you ask the dude at the counter."
She shrugged and began to walk over to the man behind the counter. Before she got there she saw our freakin Biology teacher. Miss Norris. She was a few aisles down and her back was towards us.
"Hey, M-" She waved but was cut of by my hand cupping her mouth, my other hand pulled her arm down and then dragging her to the other aisle where a little boy was standing staring at us in confusion.
"Kim, the fuck?" I said not realizing the boy was present.
"Uh... Trini watch you're language..." She looked over and I did the same.
"Oh, shit sorry." I apologized.
"Trini!" Kimberly whispered.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to do it again."
The boy looked between us and shrugged walking off. Let's just hope he doesn't start saying those words to his mom.
"Well..." I started. "That's awkward."
"Yep." She looked at me. "Ok, but what was all that for?"
"What was what?"
"Miss Norris, you bringing me here."
"Oh, yeah!" I remembered. "Why would you say 'hi'?"
"Because she's our teacher?"
"That's the reason why I pulled you here." I said. "Seeing teacher in public equals bad. Activating stealth mode."
The Pink Ranger laughed. "You're such a dork!" She made her way to the counter without any interruptions.
"Yeah, but you love it." I mumbled smiling.
She bought the medicine and we continued our walk to the Red Ranger's house. We were almost there but we were stopped by the last person I wanted to see.

Amanda.
Seriously, though. Why do we keep on meeting people. Miss Norris was enough but now there's this thing standing right in front of us.
"Hi, Kimberly..." She looked at me. "Trini.
"She-Devil." I responded making the Pink Ranger bite her lip to stifle a laugh.
"Where you two going?" The cheerleader asked.
"None of your concern." Kimberly answered.
The cheerleader was about to push Kimberly against a wall before I got in her way.
"That's not a good idea." I growled.
"Oh, yeah?" She smirked. "Why not? I was going to teach this useless bitch a lesson."
Click. It changed again. The switch inside me flipped making my expression turn blank but firm. I fought the urge to beat this chick to the ground. She seems very confident even though it's two against one. Not to mention we have super cool awesome powers that could send her flying. I would never do that to be honest. Not even she deserves something like that.
I stood there in between the cheerleader and the Pink Ranger not saying a word. It's not that I didn't want to, it's because I couldn't. I wasn't able to let a sound out of my mouth and I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing right now.
"Cat got your tongue? You don't scare me." She looked at Kimberly. "Neither of you."
Nothing.
"Trini? What's happening? Are you alright?" The Pink Ranger asked worried behind me.
Nothing.
"Ha! C'mon, Kimberly, you can do better than that. You need her to defend you? You're more pathetic than I thought. Is she gonna do you're dirty work for you? While you're at it, why don't you punch out my tooth like you did T-"
*Crack*
The cheerleader fell to the floor holding her jaw. I didn't realize what happened. Everything went black but I was still standing. I couldn't feel anything or see anything. I could hear Kimberly's voice trying to get my attention but I wasn't controlling myself anymore. Light flashed then all I could see was darkness.
-
I opened my eyes to see I was sitting on a couch. Kimberly, Billy, Zack, and Jason were sitting around me. All of them were here.
"Where am I?"
"You're at my place, Trini, don't worry." Jason said.
"Did I pass out?"
"Nope." Zack started. "Kim said you began to walk Jason's but you wouldn't say anything."
"Yeah... Yeah I remember that a little bit."
"Are you alright, Trini?" The other girl asked.
"Yeah, I feel fine actually."
"You remember everything?" Billy asked.
"I remember seeing Amanda then blacking out. I thought I fainted." I paused for a moment. "Did that bitch punch me?"
"No..." Kimberly looked at me confused. "You punched her. Hard. In the jaw."
I raised my eyebrows. "Well then..." I said not knowing what else to do. "I don't know what happened to me."
I did know.
I knew exactly what happened. I couldn't remember what exactly Amanda said or what I did but it came to me like dejavú. I know what these switches are. I control it but once the switch is off, it's game over.
I developed an ability years ago. Before I became a Power Ranger. The reason I developed it, is not the greatest. I don't think I should even call it an ability. It's just something I can do because of events that had happened in my past.
"Trini?" Jason waved his hand in front of my face. "Trini, are you ok?"
"Yeah." I answered. "I don't feel pain or anything. I'm fine, really. I just zoned out for a second."
"I'm glad you're ok. Just don't scare us like that again, yeah?" Kimberly held my hand.
"I'll try."
-
"You have to go to Jail, Trini Kwan."
"What? No I don't."
"Yeah, actually you do. I rolled a five see?" Zack recounted the spaces. "One, two, three, four, Jail."
"Fine." I said placing my piece in the Jail box. "Billy, your turn."
The Blue Ranger rolled the dice. "Two. That's doubles." He moved two spaces and rolled again. "Seven. Take $200 when you pass Go."
"You landed on my property." Kimberly announced. "Pay up."
"Monopoly takes forever." Zack said and I nodded agreeing.
"You guys wanna do something else?" Kimberly asked. "I was getting a little bored myself. We've been playing for an hour."
"Truth or Dare!" Zack blurted.
Jason sighed. "Alright. I'm cool with that. Anyone else?"
Billy, Kimberly, and I answered simultaneously. "Yep."
"Ok, awesome. But this time it's extreme."
"Oh, no..." Jason whispered.
"They are more intense and no skips." Zack smirked.
"What's the worst that could happen?" I shrugged. "I could take anything on right now."
It was true. I felt so alive at the moment and I didn't know why. I could rob a bank right now and not get caught
"Alright, Crazy Girl, since you're being cocky, Truth or Dare?" He raised his eyebrows suggestively. "C'mon let's make it a good one to start with."
"Dare."
"I dare you... To kiss the person to you're right." He grinned.
I looked to my right. It was Kimberly. I could tell she was holding in a smirk. "Oh wow, Zack. Is that all you got?"
I leaned over and captured the Pink Ranger's lips in mine. Her hand found its way to my hair and tangled in it. I felt her smile into the kiss which made me grin. I broke away and looked at the boys.
Jason's jaw dropped, Zack was grinning from ear to ear, and Billy had his eyebrows raised. Kimberly started laughing which resulted in both of us cracking up.
"All of your faces are priceless." Kimberly laughed and gave me a high-five.
"Ok, Crazy Girl, I see you." Zack smirked. "That was pretty easy for you, huh?"
"Yep. It was." I said proudly and gave Kimberly a quick kiss.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Weapons with a broken amount of different buffs applied to them due to the crafting process and materials used? You know it! The most amazing fishing rod to ever exist? Well, obviously.
