《The Berlin Wall》Chapter 24 - Friedrich's P.O.V.

I stared at my uniform hanging on the back of my door, shining with the pride of accomplishment. I had finally gotten here. Due to my successes in protecting the Wall recently, the generals had promoted me. I would be accompanying them in meetings occasionally, but still guarding the wall. But that didn't matter, I would hear news about the escapee. I could even try help find them. My first meeting would be later today, so by this afternoon I would know who it was. Slipping on the uniform, I straightened up and wiped away the creases from the jacket. Reaching for my belt, I tied it round my waist, through the loops, and stared at the mirror, my fierce eyes and features glaring back at me.

"Good morning Eisenberg. Ready for stage 2?" The officer glanced over his papers at his desk, looking me in the eyes. I nodded briefly and quickly, nerves shaking my whole body. "Good, let's begin." Once again, the second guard attached the wires of the machine to my temples and nodded. "We are going to do a bit of role-play. I will pretend to be a criminal or attempted escapee in a prison cell. You need to deal with how I act. Do you understand?" He questioned me.
"Yes Sir." I regurgitated the innate answer.
"So what do you do here?" He asked, sounding like a young boy, very intrigued. I frowned for a moment before answering. Was he really asking what I did?
"I protect the Wall and prevent people from escaping." And just like that, I was transported back to the last session as waves of electricity blasted through my veins. I had forgotten how horrific this felt. I took a deep breath. He was in the role. I hadn't realised. I tried again. "No questions." I said forcefully once I had caught my breath. And all was calm, no shocks, not even a tremor.

"Come on, you can tell me." He whined. I couldn't believe my officer was doing this, sounding like such a child. Thank god he couldn't hear my thoughts.
"No." I repeated, with the same force as before.
"Fine. Well, at least tell me where we are?" He complained.
"A police department in Berlin." Before I could even question myself, a shock was sent through me. I sighed and repeated, "No questions."
"Tell me." He demanded.
"No." I replied.
"Okay good. Now, the prisoner keeps asking and begins banging on the bars, what do you do?"
"I repeat, no questions."
Shock.
"He won't stop." The officer stated.
"I yell at him."
Shock
"He won't stop." Again.
"I open the door and make him stop."
Calm.

"Friedrich?" A little childish voice called from outside the room. Anna. Great. This was all I needed right now; her whining voice and childish unrealistic love and excitement about the world. "Frieeeedriiiichhhh!" She called again.
"What?!" I answered.
"Can I come in?"
"No. I'm doing something. Go bother someone else." She walked in nevertheless and saw my outfit. Her whole face lit up with excitement and her hands began clapping uncontrollably as she began jumping up and down.
"That's new!" She squealed. "What did you get it for?"
"No questions." I stated bluntly.
"Oh come on Friedrich! You sound like an old man!" She giggled at the fact she had called me an old man. Haha. So funny. Not. "Tell me!" She pleaded.
"No."
"Tellllll meeeeeee!" She called once again, running to my side and looping her arms around my legs, holding on tight and looking up to me with puppy eyes. Her whining voice irritated my ears and as if a switch had turned on, my arms and fingers and eye began twitching once again.

And before I realised it, she was sitting on her bum on the floor, staring at me in shock, her mouth open as if she were going to say something but nothing came out but a wail of cries and tears streamed down her face. I stared at her for a moment, before walking past her, down the stairs.

"You where going to do what?" he shouts causing me to jump a bit. I look at his face and see anger on it. "I said I was thinking about it. I changed my mind," I rush to say. "I'm sorry." As he runs a hand through his hair he picks up the glass vase and throws it against the wall. Rushing past him, I hurry to the door. Once my hand is on the silver doorknob I pull it open only to have it closed. Turning around I meet his gaze. His normal blue eyes are now black with a hint of gold. "I think I should go," I say barely as a whisper. "Mine," he growls. "Yes, I know it's yours but-," I say but he cuts me off again. "Mine," he growls again. Before I have the chance to ask him what he meant, he hovers over my body, and before I have the chance to move, I feel sharp teeth penetrate my skin. Kicking and screaming, I try to move out of his grasp. Yelping out in pain, he finally takes his teeth out, and looks at me with his blue eyes. He looks at me in horror. "What did you do to me?"
