*Ariana's POV*
I walked out of the study and found Lacy.
"Where is he? What happened?" She asked me.
"He had to go. We just talked." I answered her.
"What did you talk about?" She asked me.
"He wants to get back together. He said he forgives me for everything." I said. She smiled at me.
"This is great! So are you going to get back together with him?" She smiled at me.
"I'm not ready yet." I shook my head. "He said he would wait till I was." I said.
"Now that is the perfect guy. Honey you two will be getting married one day." She smiled.
"Not so fast." I laughed. "We aren't even together." I said.
"Not yet you aren't." She smiled.
"Maybe, maybe not." I shrugged.
"If you don't take him, I'll have him." She laughed.
"You have Stephen!" I laughed.
"Good point." She nodded. I laughed and shook my head. Suddenly my Dad's voice echoed threw the house.
"Can I have everyone's attention please?" He called. Everyone got quiet and looked at the two. He and Jess are standing in the front of the room and he is talking into a microphone. "Ariana come up here!" He smiled. Everyone cheered as I made my way to the front of the room to my parents.
"So as you all know this is the first birthday Jess and I have spent with Ariana. So that means this is pretty special. Before we give you your present, I would like to say somethings. You are the best daughter any father could as for. There isn't a day where we don't make a joke or laugh with each other. You becoming such a beautiful and smart young woman and I can't wait to see what you are going to do in the future." He smiled. Everyone clapped and I hugged him.
"Thanks Dad." I smiled.
"You're welcome." He smiled. "Okay now for the present!" He said. He then pulled out a envelope from his back pocket and handed it to me. "Open it." He smiled. I opened the envelope and pulled out the piece of paper that was in it. I first read it in my head and then read it into the microphone.

"It says to go to the backyard." I said.
"Let's go." Dad smiled. We were the first ones into the backyard and everyone followed us. Outside sat a very tall box.
"What's in the box?" I asked Dad.
"Just wait and see." He smiled. What is he up to? "Jimmy! I need your help!" He called. Uncle Jimmy then appeared.
"I'm here!" Uncle Jimmy smiled. The two walked over to the box. Dad looked at me.
"You ready?" He smiled at me.
"Yes!" I smiled. The two then opened the front of the box and showed everyone what was inside. "Oh my God!" I gasped. This is not happening! I can't believe this! It's freaking Aaron Craft! Aaron is my favorite player for OSU. He smiled at me and walked out of the box.
"Hi." He smiled.
"Hi." I managed to say. I'm still in shock!
"Happy birthday." He smiled. Oh my God he just told me happy birthday! Aaron Craft told me happy birthday! Ahhh! He then held out his arms. "Can I have a hug?" He smiled.
"Yes." I smiled. We then hugged and everyone cheered. I then hugged my Dad.
"Thank you so much." I smiled.
"You're welcome. You deserve it." He smiled. I then walked back over to Aaron.
"C'mon Aaron! Let's go party!" I smiled. Aaron chuckled and everyone went back inside to the party.
I'm dancing with Aaron Craft! I can't believe this! This man is my role model! It's a dream come true to meet him.
*Justin's POV*
"I'm pretty sure she's in love." I chuckled. I stood I'm the backyard with Jess, Jimmy,Nancy, and all four of my parents.
"Well who wouldn't be? He is very attractive." Jess smiled. I looked at my wife.
"I'm right here." I said.
"Oh honey, I know." She said. I shook my head and sighed.
"What am I going to do with you?" I asked her.

"I have no idea." She laughed. Everyone laughed with us.
"Let's go watch these kids." Jimmy said. Everyone began walking back into the house but my Dad told me to stay behind.
"What?" I asked him.
"I was way out of line calling you a bad father." He said to me.
"Hell yeah you were." I said.
"I'm sorry Justin." He apologized.
"Thanks but I honestly can't forgive you for telling me that I'm a bad father. That really hit home, Dad." I sighed. I then walked back inside the house and found Jess.
"What did your Dad want?" She asked me.
" He apologized for calling me a bad father." I told her.
"Did you accept it?" She asked me. I sighed and shook my head.
"No." I said.
"Why not? He made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes." She frowned at me.
"It really hurt me that he called me a bad father." I said to her.
"I understand that Justin, but he apologized for it." She persisted.
"Can we just forget about this?" I sighed. She nodded her head and sighed.
"Fine, but we aren't done talking about this." She said. I sighed and she walked away. I looked over to the dance floor and saw Ariana smiling and laughing with Aaron. She looks so happy.
My mom then walked over to me. I sighed and looked at her. I know exactly what she's going to say.
"Why won't you forgive your dad?" She asked me. See, I knew it. I know this woman like a book.
"I have my reasons." I said. Why is this such a big deal? How does she even know that I didn't forgive him? Lisa must have told her or something. Maybe Jess told her. Who knows?
"Well he's your father. You need to forgive him." She said.
"He called me a bad father, Mom. How would you feel if someone who has no right to, called you a bad mother?" I frowned.
"I would be really upset." She said.
"Exactly." I said. "Now we can we please stop talking about this?" I asked her.
"Later we will talk." She said. Then she walked away, leaving me alone.
"Just like Jess." I sighed. I took a drink from my cup full of soda. Since this is a seventeen year old's birthday party there is no alcohol. I could really go for a beer right now.
Baze and Jimmy then walked up to me.
"You have that look on your face." Jimmy said.
"What look?" I frowned.
"The 'I need a drink' look" He said. I sighed and nodded.
"I sure do." I said.
"Baze has some in his car." He told me.
"Well let's go!" I said. We left the house and walked down the driveway to the main road where Baze's car was. Baze opened up the trunk and pulled out a bottle of tequila.
"Here we go." Baze smiled as he held the bottle in his hands.
"God bless you." I smiled as he handed me a glass to pour the tequila with. Baze laughed and handed Jimmy one. He then poured all of us some tequila.
"We have to toast to something." Jimmy said.
"Well what should we toast to?" Baze asked.
"Has anyone called you two a bad father?" I asked them. They both sadly nodded their heads. "Me too." I sighed. We then all raised our glasses. "To being damn good fathers." I smiled. The two smiled, we clinked glasses and took our shots.
Tequila is probably the best part of my night.

Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Despite her reservations, Lily finds a joyful escape in Avo, shattering her cold, hollow reality. It was just a game though… until the group discovered they couldn't log out. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading! I'm always willing to take new ideas or answer questions about the book, so feel free to leave a comment and let me hear your thoughts! It's important to note that this book is inspired by karami92’s World Keeper.
