"Jungkook?!"

(Promise Chapter 2)

"Do I know you?" he asked. "You don't remember me?" Lisa looked at his eyes. "Sorry but I have to go" Jungkook walks away. Lisa stopped him and said, "It's me Lisa, your childhood best friend". The word best friend echoes in Jungkook's head. Suddenly, Jungkook's headaches. He groans. "Are you okay?" Lisa worrying, she pats his shoulder. Jungkook removed her hand, "Listen, Miss, I don't know who you are. Now, will you please excuse me I have to GO" said Jungkook to Lisa and left.

Lisa is very confused. She has so many questions. "What happened to him? Did he forget about me? He's Jungkook right? What about our promise?". Lisa's at work and she's still thinking about what happened earlier.

"Hey Lis, you good? You've been staring at your computer for like 30 minutes"

That's Jennie. Lisa's best friend since high school. They also go to work together. She is a writer. "I'm good" Lisa smiles. "Is it boy trouble?" Jennie teasing Lisa. "Hey! I'm thirsty, let's grab a drink, yeah?" said Lis. "Okay, tell me about it. What is wrong?" Jennie asked. "Okay here. My childhood best friend, I ran into him earlier." said Lisa.

Jennie was shaken, "Really? What did he say?". "He doesn't remember me" Lisa's smile fades away. "Oh, that's sad" said Jennie, feeling bad. "It is. We promised to never forget each other. Why can't he remember me? " Lisa almost started crying. "Hey, don't cry" Jennie comforting Lisa.

"Guys, Ms. Kim is coming!" an employee whispered. Everyone started moving and doing their works. Ms. Kim is the president, the CEO of the company. When Ms. Kim came, everybody stands up. "Good Morning, Ms. Kim" said everyone in unison. Ms. Kim stares at them. "I hope the morning is good. Jennie and your group, prepare for your presentation later" said Ms. Kim, "Yes, ma'am" said Jennie and her group. "Very well, now go do your works!" Ms. Kim shouted and walks away. " So bossy" Jennie whispered. Lisa chuckled.

"Jennie, Lisa, your group presentation" said Ms. Min. She is Ms. Kim's secretary, also Jennie and Lisa's friend. "Let's go everybody" said Jennie.

Jennie explained the story to Ms. Kim. "The story, add more twist to it, and the-" Ms. Kim suddenly coughs, Ms. Min gave her water and handkerchief. "I'm fine. Show me the book cover". Lisa was next to present. She explained what the image is about. "Add more details to the book cover, make it more mature, more romantic, the story too. It should be-" Ms. Kim coughs again, she coughs and coughs louder. "Meeting is done. Go now" said Ms. Kim while coughing.

Ms. Min got a call from Ms. Kim's body gaurd. "Yes, Mr. Lee?" said Min. Everyone looks at her. They stare at her, waiting for the announcement. As soon as Ms. Min ends the call, everyone crossed their fingers. "Ms. Kim is going home!" said Ms. Min, everybody got excited. Ms. Kim won't be here bossing them around so they got excited. Everyone took their break.

"Hey, you know the story we're working on, it's like your love situation right now. Two lovers got separated because of something, ran into each other after many years and then..." Jennie is talking to Lisa, but Lis is still thinking about Jungkook, still have many questions on her mind. "Hey Lis, are you listening?" Jennie taps her. "Huh? What?" Lisa was confused. "You're still bothered about earlier aren't you?" Jennie asked, Lisa nodded. "What's up? Is Lisa okay?" said Suha, Suha Ms. Min's name. Jennie explained it to Suha, she felt bad. "Okay, how about me and Suha help you look for him." said Jennie "Thanks, guys" said Lisa, they smiled.

The next day, Lisa and the girls went out and look for Jungkook. "Hey Lis, you saw Jungkook's face when you ran into him right?" said Suha, Lisa nodded. "Can you sketch his face from what you remembered? So me and Jennie can see his face" said Suha. A few moments later, Lisa showed her sketch to Suha and Jennie, they were shook.

"Oh my, he's handsome" said Suha. "Yeah. He might be a model, or an actor since he's handsome" said Jennie. "I dont know, he looks like a ordinary guy when I saw him" said Lisa, shrugs.

3 days later

The three got tired looking for Jungkook so they took a break. "We'll never find him" said Lisa, sadly. "Hey don't lose hope, if Jungkook is your first love, destiny will help you, just not today" said Jennie. "Maybe". " You know what girls, let's go to the mall and stop worrying" said Suha, Jennie and Lisa agreed.

Jungkook POV

*having a flashback of what happened 3 days ago* " Who is she? How does she know me?" Jungkook asking himself. "Hey Kook, what's up?" said Jin. Jungkook and Jin also lives together. "Nothing, there's just this girl I bumped into 3 days ago. She said she was my childhood best friend" said Jungkook, looking at the ceiling. Jin's eyes got bigger. "Lisa" Jin whispered. "What hyung?".

"M-maybe the girl just got mistaken, right?" said Jin, a little nervous. "I guess, but I felt something when she said I was her childhood best friend" said Jungkook. "You know what, let's go to the mall and stop thinking about that" said Jin. "Those are for girls, hyung, I knew it you're gay" Jungkook teasing. "No silly, we're gonna buy video games, but you called me gay so-", "Jin hyung you are SO handsome and SO manly" said Jungkook. "Oh please, stop it", they both laughed.

The girls we're at the store, checking some clothes out. Suddenly, Lisa saw someone walk out of the gaming store who looks like Jungkook. " Hey Lis what do you think about this one-" when Jennie looked back, Lisa was running out of the store, the two followed her. "I saw him" said Lisa. They looked at the right and saw Jungkook with his brother getting inside the car. The girls ran, but they didn't catch the car. "Jungkook!" Lisa shouted.

Jungkook heard a voice. "Hyung did you hear that?" Jungkook asked him. Jin looked at his side mirror and saw Lisa. "Hey Kook, can you pass me that bag?" said Jin, "Sure".

Ms. Kim was very sick. She didn't come to work for 1 week, but today she came to announce something. "As you can see, I didn't come to work for 1 week becuase I was very ill. So I'll be taking a break, I won't go to work for a while, all of you will still work because you are not the one who is sick. Someone will be taking my place while I'm gone. Meet..."

A guy walks inside the office as Ms. Kim announces the guy who will take over. "Meet Jungkook" said Ms. Kim. Lisa was shook.

"Jungkook?"

"You?!"
