"I don't know what the fuck is going on – Bam have been cold towards Yuggie the entire week, I can't even put them in the same room for more than ten fucking minutes! Whenever Yuggie tried to speak to him, he'd just lash out!" Jackson raised both hands in frustration. "What the hell happened that night? He came back slamming everything around –"
"Aish, it's just a misunderstanding – you know these kids, they're always fooling around," Namjoon pats his friend's back a couple times. Jungkook stood in silence with his head down, feeling more anxious by the second.
Jackson sighed and shook his head. He may not like the idea of the two boys sorting their personal problems at such a public space, but he knew Namjoon wouldn't have come all the way to JYP's building if it wasn't important.
"Well, you better hurry then. It's lunch time so a lot of staff are not here. Just make sure to not shout at each other. You never know if anyone might hear you," He warned Jungkook. "He's alone at the studio now. We'll keep a lookout,"
Jungkook nodded before hurrying off to where Jackson pointed.
As he got to the door, he took a deep breath to calm himself down. It's Bambam. He knows you well. You can do this - you can make him listen! He opens the door slowly to find the guy sitting on the floor, playing with his phone. When he looked up, Jungkook can immediately see the anger rising up in his demeanour.
"What the fuck –"
"Bam, listen," Jungkook stepped in and shut the door behind.
"No, you better get the fuck out of here before I lose it," Bambam stood up, his hands are now forming a fist.
Jungkook felt his heart beats faster. They've never had an argument like this and he'd never seen Bambam so angry at him before that night. The look of disgust that's on Bambam's face hits him right in the chest.
"I won't leave until you hear me out. I know you're upset at me –"
"Upset?" Bambam snickered. "Oh man, that's not even the right word. No, no," He walks over closer to Jungkook slowly. "No, upset is what I feel for myself, yes. I'm not upset at you, Kook – I'm fucking pissed! You – out of all people – I trusted you! And I helped you get to her,"
"Bam, I wanna explain –"
"You don't have to, I heard you and Jae clearly! Seriously, Kook –" Bambam looked down and breathed in, trying hard to not succumb to his emotions and just punch the guy. "I can expect something like this from Jae, but from you?"
"Exactly! Bam, how long have we known each other? I wouldn't do something like that, I swear!" Jungkook came forward, insisting for Bambam to hear him out. "I only agreed to the bet cus I wanted Jae to give me her number, that's all! I swear I didn't mean her any harm –"
"How can you even say that?! She heard you, we both heard you! I've never seen her like that, do you know how painful for me to look at her while you guys were in there, laughing your ass off like she's a fucking game?! She's my friend, Kook – fuck, she's like my own sister! I've known her longer than I've known any of you guys, and I can't believe after all this time I've made it clear that none of you deserves her, you guys would play her like that? To turn her into a fucking bet?"
"She wasn't a game to me Bam!"
"Fuck outta here man! Stop with all the bullshit and just –"
"All I wanted from Jae was her number, that's it! Remember when you asked me the first time – I had to lie! I had to cus you'd throw a fit at Jae if I told you I got it from him,"
"So that made you a fucking hero then?"
"No, that wasn't what I –"
"You should've told me! I asked and you lied –"
"I know!" Jungkook's hands are now in his hair. "I know I should've told you and I'm sorry I didn't - I fucked up!" The painful reminder of Lisa's teary face came into his vision. "I wanted to at first – and then I forgot - I never meant any harm, I just needed her phone number so I played along with Jae...I had to cus everyone's so all over me about Yeri, I told you this! I admit it – I was a coward and I couldn't man up to ask or tell you – but everything else, everything that I told you was true! It was real and it was never a bet – not to me!"
Silence filled the air between the two. Jungkook braved himself to return Bambam's glare. "Do you honestly think I'm capable of playing her, or anyone for that matter? You know me, Bam – and you know Jae. I wouldn't do anything to lose our friendship, you know that right?"
Bambam sighed down, shaking his head.
"Bam, I know I messed up...you can hit me if you want and I know you really want to. But I'm telling you, I wasn't lying when it comes to her. Yeah, I left that part out, but the rest of it –" He sighed. How else could he explain so Bambam would understand? "I just hope you could trust me again,"
...
It was never awkward hanging out with Bambam. This is the first time, in fact, that Lisa found herself out of words in front of her best friend. She tried playing it cool since they got here. He had come up with the usual topics of how she spent her weekend and the show in Osaka, how her photoshoot went, her schedules, and members.
The food came and they ate in silence. It was fine for her. She only came because he insisted, and she felt bad – seeing how concerned he'd been of her these past two weeks. She was confident that he wouldn't bring it up, that he would be sensitive over the subject as well. She was wrong. It took her by surprise when he suddenly asked if Jungkook had contacted her, in which she just replied by shrugging nonchalantly.
"Can we not talk about it please?"
Bambam leaned forward, crossing and resting both arms on the table. "Lali, we need to talk about it," He emphasized on the 'need'.
"No, we don't, Bam. There's nothing to talk about,"
"You've been avoiding him. I don't have to ask to know that. But you can't avoid your feelings –"
"I don't have anything against it. I don't even think about it,"
"Just how stupid do you think I am?" Bambam's voice reflected some-what of disappointment, to which Lisa ignored and looked away. "I've known you almost my entire life, I know when you're lying,"

"It doesn't matter, Bam. Let's drop it." She said sternly.
"No, it does matter. You're hurt, I get that. But you can't keep it all inside,"
"Yes, I can," Lisa huffed in annoyance.
"Lali..." Bambam sighed with a frown. "Don't be like this. Talk to me,"
"Is that all you wanna talk about? You just wanna meet me to rub it in my face?"
"What? Why would you even –"
"I said I don't wanna talk about it, which part don't you understand?!" She raised her voice, already at the brink of crying for being pressured by him.
"All of it! Stop this – I'm fine with you ignoring me, I can go on for weeks or months dealing with that – but it's not fine when you're ignoring your own damn feelings!"
"I said I don't have any –"
"Stop lying to me Lali!" Bambam shouts, making Lisa jumped slightly in her seat. She'd never heard this tone from her best friend. Not towards her, at least.
Bambam takes a deep breath to calm himself down. "Stop lying to yourself, please,"
Tears formed in her eyes, threatening to fall. She looks away and wipes it immediately.
"You keep everything by yourself. Aren't you tired?"
"We do what we need to do right? This is the big dream we paid for right?"
"No, it's not. You've been one of my support system a lot of times. You've helped me overcome things when I was about to quit. Please...let me be yours now," He pleads. Lisa can't help the tears from falling anymore as she heard that.
"I – I don't know how –" She sobbed. "It hurts - it really does," She hides her face with both palms, embarrassed that she can no longer stop the dam from bursting. "I shouldn't have been there that night. I shouldn't even be there the first time, helping him. I don't know why it had to happen to me. I tried so hard to avoid getting involved with anyone. I tried so hard, and I was so stupid –"
"Hey," Bambam shifted to sit beside her and rubbed her shoulder. "You're not stupid,"
"Yes, I was. I shouldn't have gotten myself involved with him in the first place. I should've known better...know my place. I knew it was too good to be true. It had been on my mind for the longest time, I knew I don't deserve him,"
"Don't say that. If anything, he's the one who doesn't deserve you,"
"I'm trying so hard to move on. I don't wanna think about him anymore but it's just so hard! And I'm lying to my unnies as well cus I can't just tell them...I don't want them to hate him cus I - I don't hate him. I don't hate him and I want so much to hate him but I can't! The more I wanted to hate him the more I miss him! It hurts so much, Bam, tell me how to fix this –" She continued crying her heart out. "I kept telling myself that I'll get past this. That it's nothing. I'm so stupid! It was just game to him –"
"No, it's not. It's not like that, I promise you – you're not a game to him," Bambam blurted out. It pains him to see her this way. The only time she's ever cried in front of him was during her trainee days. Even so, it wasn't anything like this. "You shouldn't avoid it. Stop avoiding your feelings for him. Read his texts, talk to him,"
Lisa shakes her head and takes a deep breath to calm herself down. She grabbed the tissue on the table and wipes the tears on her cheeks and palm. Once she's done, she looks up to Bambam with a small smile. Bambam returns it with a pitiful one that she knew so well.
"It's okay, Bam. I'll be alright. One day, I'll be alright,"
"Lali, listen to me. Trust me. You shouldn't regret what happened. At least read his texts. You can decide then,"
...
Jungkook stared blankly at the screen of his phone. His heart had been beating so fast since he saw the clip of Lisa dancing with the two members from Winner. Why is she so thin? Has she not been eating well? Have she been over-working herself? Why the hell is Hoony standing so damn close to her? Get your hands off my girl! The same sentiments repeated itself in his mind everytime the clip replayed itself, over and over.
It's been a month now. Still nothing from her.He tried - God knows how he tried! He still texts her everyday and tried callingat least once a day. Still no response from her. Not even Bambam can help himnow. He knew that they've met, Bambam had told him about it. He also knew howbadly Lisa felt about it, Bambam told him about that too. He found out that shenever even opened any of his messages. That explains how she couldn't haveknown the truth and kept ignoring him.
There's not much he can do since then, as BTS had been travelling for concerts in Europe for the past two weeks. One more week before I go back home. Home to where Lisa is. He scrolls down to the comments section. Mostly were just praises on her dancing. Some are comments about shipping her with Hoony. Jungkook frowned in disgust. One comment got his attention.
'I wonder how Jungkook feels about this'
He smiles. I feel like shit if you really wanna know! There are 11 replies so he looked into it.
'get out of here'
'don't bring my boy into your delulu shit'
'he doesn't like her! he likes IU!'
'Sicko. Get some help'
'delulus'
'lol he doesn't care!'
'He doesn't care!'
'fuck outta here lisa ain't shit'
How dare you say that about her, k00kie_97! I'll give them more things to talk about! I'll show them how I feel about it!
He got up and head to Namjoon's room. "Hyung, I'm gonna go on Vlive!"
...
It's okay, I can wait for one more week! Jungkook repeats to himself when he found out Blackpink is currently in Thailand when he got back to Korea. He cursed to himself repeatedly as well for not remembering their schedule. He'd been looking forward to come back, ready to face whatever is takes to be able to see and talk to her. Looks like he has to wait some more.
His phone buzzed and he frowned when he saw the caller ID.
