《IN YOUR MIND. fezco》xxii. theatrical confession

Lulu opened her locker, carelessly throwing her books inside with only one thing in mind. Going home to pack her bags for the ceremony. It would take place the following day in Los Angeles but she was supposed to leave tonight because she would spend the next day getting ready and completing some interviews and shoots.
She slammed her locker door shut and saw red when her eyes landed on the figure of the girl she wanted to put down. Jules.
Lulu didn't have the full story, she only knew what Rue had told her and she wasn't sober at the time Jules had fucked her up. But Lulu didn't need the full story to know that Jules had been a menace to Rue's health and that she had been a total hypocrite.
She was ready for battle, her knuckles turning white, when her view was obstructed by Lexi, "Hey, Lulu! You ready for the rehearsal?"
Lulu fluttered her eyelashes quickly, taken aback, "Uh, yeah, yeah... Wait, is it now?"
Lexi giggled, "Yeah! Hm, you okay?"
Lulu shot one last look at Jules —who didn't seem to notice the threat lurking over her shoulders, before smiling at Lexi, "Yeah, totally, let's go!"
And thirty minutes later, Lulu was climbing up the stage after Lexi had explained what she had envisioned for a scene in the gym, "So... when's the part where you tell me that this play is about us?"
Lulu gulped in embarrassment, looking everywhere to avoid Lulu's gaze, "I mean, I guess that's why you didn't want me to read the whole play, right?"
Lexi's face turned red, "I... n-no?"
"Lex... this part is clearly about Nate," Lulu said knowingly, "And the whole cheerleader scene... Maddy and Cassie."
Lexi knew Lulu would eventually understand out of context. Secretly, that was actually what she wanted. But she didn't think she would figure it out this fast.
"Am I in the play?" Lulu asked, "Wait, is that why you didn't want me around when you cast certain characters?"

Lulu opened her eyes wide with realization when Lexi looked at her in guilt, "Oh my god! I am! Wait, but like... yo, I wanna know!"
"You don't think that's weird?" Lexi asked, biting her lip nervously, "Like... I feel like people are gonna get upset."
"Upset about what?" Lulu replied, "They should be flattered that you're using their lives for inspiration."
Lexi shrugged, "Cassie and Nate?"
Lulu grimaced, "Nate's a fuckin' piece of shit, who cares what he thinks. And your sister... y'know, I fuckin' love you Lexi but she's a massive cunt."
Lexi chuckled, "But, hm, yeah, you're in the play..."
"Am I Mona?"
Lexi nodded and Lulu's face cracked into a smile that made Lexi's heart flutter in her chest, "But I... I'm not exposing you or anything."
"Oh really?" Lulu laughed, "Cause you could, y'know I got my flaws."
Lexi shook her head in disapproval, "I mean, we all do but you've always been a good friend to me."
Lulu frowned, "I'd have to disagree with you on that... We didn't hang out much recently... you don't have to lie to me about this. I know I haven't been around much. And I'm really sorry."
"You have your life to handle, we all do."
"Yeah, but I could've tried harder," Lulu sighed, "I mean you're out there, making a play about all of us and we've literally put you aside!"
Lexi stared at Lulu's face for longing seconds before blinking quickly, realizing she shouldn't be doing that, "Hm... actually... having you helping me out is really the best thing that could happen. I'm really grateful."
"No, don't say that, that's the least I can do."
Lexi was about to say something when Lulu clapped her hands, interrupting her thoughts, "Okay, so let's choreograph this bitch ass gym routine, shall we?"
... ... ...
An hour later, Lulu and Lexi had come up with a solid first part of the routine, Lexi giving the main message behind each move and Lulu coming right after to make it even bigger, creating something that was almost always too suggestive but that was exactly why Lexi had asked for her help.

Because Lulu didn't have a single boundary when it came to crafting art. And that was exactly why she was doing so great in her own career.
Breathless, Lulu jumped off the stage and retrieved her purse, pointing a finger at Ethan who had learned the routine with them, "Dude, you're a performer, like, for real."
"Thank you, Lulu," Ethan replied, feeling embarrassed.
Lulu smiled at him before facing Lexi, "Don't worry about the funds, I'll ask Enolla what we can do. I'm sure I can unlock some money if I say I'm part of the project."
Lexi vigorously nodded and Lulu winked in her direction as she started walking up the stairs towards the exit.
"You better come home with that Oscar, Lulu!" Ethan yelled as the rest of the cast and crew that were staying during the rehearsal started chanting her name.
Lulu scrunched her nose and looked at them one last time, "I guess we'll find out tomorrow night."
But her face fell when she recognized Elliot standing near the exit door, awkwardly waddling on his feet, "Hey, Lulu..."
She walked past him with a hard glare, blatantly ignoring him as she stormed down the hallway, rolling her eyes as she heard him following her, "What do you want?"
She was out of the school and lit a cigarette, noticing Fezco sitting on the hood of his car and having a conversation with Zahia, when Elliot finally caught up with her.
"Uh... Actually, we do have a project due in English."
Lulu snapped her head at him, "How about you take care of the project and we say it was fifty fifty, uh?"
Elliot stared at her, dumbfounded by how cold she was acting, "Hm... do you... do you have a problem with me?"
"Lulu!" Maddy yelled a few feet away, "I can't wait to see your outfit for tomorrow!"
Lulu smiled widely, playfully wiggling her fingers in Maddy's direction, and looked back at Elliot, "Do you really wanna go there?"
"Is... is this cause I snitched on Rue?"
She raised a brow, blowing some smoke, "Did you snitch before or after you fucked Jules?"
Fear crossed his features, the color draining out of his face and his heart beating increasingly faster. He couldn't believe Lulu had picked on the tension going on between him and Jules even though she barely hung out with them.
Lulu couldn't contain the loud and longing snicker that slipped out of her lips, "Oh, you motherfucker, I was fuckin' bluffing, Imma—"
"Lulu, please, let me explain—"
Lulu's open palm hit Elliot's cheek so strongly that the sound it created echoed through the entire parking lot, causing dozens of students to gasp and Maddy to shriek in excitement. She had definitely missed that side of Lulu.
Elliot brought his hand to his burning cheek, the fear increasing in his eyes.
"I hope you feel like shit," Lulu cursed, "Now think about what you did to Rue and, maybe, I'll consider being your friend again."
"Please, Lulu—"
"No, shut your mouth or I'll hit you harder!" Lulu snapped, "And if you ever run into Jules... tell her to hide cause she got worse coming for her."
She didn't waste any more time with Elliot and walked away, earning a high-five from Maddy, quickly jogging until she could wrap her arms around Fezco's waist and get a fierce kiss from her boyfriend, "Y'gave that one a good lesson."
Lulu wiggled her eyebrows, "Kicking him made my day."
Fezco leaned in dangerously close to her lips, "That was really hot, y'know."
Lulu flashed a flirty look at his lips, brushing her lips against his when they were interrupted by Zahia gagging, "I'm here, you pervs!"
... ... ...

Dragons of Dark Rebellion in A World of Essence
In a world where cultivation is the highest form of virtue, the purity of one’s blood is of absolute value. Saul is neither Arloni, nor Delcairan. He’s both. But when a strange ring suddenly falls into his hands, nineteen year old Saul is more than willing to push the boundary between fantasy and reality. However, things are not as they once were in Falden. At a time where Saul finally confronts lord Albryte’s sons after years of torment and abuse, his father’s health is fading fast. Suddenly faced with the consequences of his actions, Saul is forced to make a difficult decision. And as he fights his own battle, dark forces descend upon Lucidia. Followed by a pair of glowing red eyes, a stranger appears in the night, visiting Falden with unfavorable intentions. Even worse, nameless assassins strike at the heart of the capital, leaving Eliza Zaryph, the black sheep of the ruling house of Lucidia, shouldering the burden of governing a kingdom that once turned its back on her. As the world marches toward chaos, their lives take a drastic turn. Will Saul abandon those he holds most dear? Will Eliza drown herself in the past? Or will they struggle against fate and seize the future with their own hands? Tomorrow remains uncertain. But the Sun will show them the way. Author's Note: Inspired by the Wuxia/Xianxia genre the magic system is comprised of cultivating through different Worlds of power, where each World offers more strength and abilities. Currently there are five Worlds known: Essence Practitioner, Essence Channeler, Essence Warrior, Essence Conquerer, and finally Essence Ruler. (And for the best reading experience I recomend altering your width setting to about 70 or 80 percent on desktop.) Table of Contents: Prologue Part 1: Homecoming (chapters 1-12) Part 2: Journey (chapters 13-25) About 70 percent complete. I'll update this figure over time and begin posting again after I finish it and go through several rounds of editing.
