《IN YOUR MIND. fezco》iv. time to celebrate ( pt. 2 )

Lulu walked out of the bathroom with shaky legs. She fluttered her eyelashes rapidly and took a deep breath, feeling like she was stuck on cloud nine. Not that it was a bad thing though, she had noticed a purple mark on her neck and a blush had covered her cheeks.
She easily spotted Fezco on a couch, lighting a blunt, and he didn't miss her appearance in the living room either, winking in her direction with a smile.
"Lulu!"
Lulu's face lit up even more when she realized who had shouted her name. She turned around and saw Maddy running in her direction before crushing her in a massive hug. The two girls squealed in happiness, almost jumping up and down in excitement under the amused gazes of Kat and Jules —who were standing near by, drinks in hand.
"I'm so happy you're here!" Maddy giggled, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
"You thought I wasn't coming?" Lulu wondered, surprised by Maddy's words.
Maddy shrugged, "I thought you'd be in LA, I mean you're blowing up everywhere! Like Golden Globes nominations and shit? Hello! What's a superstar still doing here?"
Lulu, who had Maddy's arms wrapped around her waist, slightly shoved the girl away with a chortle, shaking her head in embarrassment, "Whatever... Y'know I can't live without you, what would I do in LA without my besties, uh?"
Maddy looked away, pretending to think for a second, until she hugged Lulu even tighter, making them dance, "True that, can't live without me."
The two girls turned their "bad bitch energy" on —as they liked to call it, and started dancing facing each other, giving everything they had as they completely ignored the stares of many people, who couldn't quite believe the way these two girls were putting on a show. Lulu ignored the phones recording the scene, she couldn't care less to find videos of her on the internet the next morning, and Maddy ignored Nate's gaze, enjoying way too much this moment with one of her best friends.
After dancing like savages for awhile, Lulu started looking all around the house before facing Maddy again, "Where's Cass?"
Maddy shook her head, "I don't know, Lexi's been looking out for her too."

"Weird," she muttered until she noticed Lexi.
She quickly jogged towards the girl, who was sitting on the couch near Fezco. Jules grabbed her arm as she was actually walking away from them, "Have you seen Rue?"
"No... We came together but I haven't seen her since."
"Okay..."
Jules was ready to go through the crowd when Lulu decided to stop her, "You good, Jules?"
Jules was taken aback as Lulu's voice implied she could feel something was off. And how could Lulu see right through her when even her closest friends couldn't?
"I mean... I know we don't hang out that much," Lulu added, "But... I know Rue. So... you can hit me up if you wanna talk or hang out."
Jules' expression softened, her lips turning into a genuine smile, "Thank you Lulu... that'd be great."
And the two girls parted ways, Lulu finally standing in front of the couch, "Yo Lex!"
Lexi jumped up in fear, as Lulu chuckled in amusement at her childhood friend's reaction, "Hey, Lulu."
But Lulu was extremely observant and picked up on a few things Lexi had never done in her presence before. She kept drifting her eyes from left to right —clearly avoiding eye contact, she played nervously with her fingers —as if she unconsciously tried not to bite them, and she noticed a rosy tint covering her cheeks.
Lulu frowned but decided to ignore the weird feeling inside of her stomach, "You look stunning... Uh, have you seen Cass?"
"Uh... I think I just saw her and McKay?" Lexi replied, "Not sure where she is now though."
"Okay..." Lulu said, still feeling a bit weirded out by Lexi's behavior.
Fezco seemed to pick up on his girlfriend's mood changing and gently grabbed her hand, pulling her so she could be closer to him.
"You good?" he asked, almost in a whisper.
And everything felt great when she looked at him. That was truly all she had to do to feel better, "Yeah, Imma get a drink. Want anything?"
"Nah, I'm all good, mamas."
Lulu nodded and walked off, making her way to the kitchen rapidly. But, she didn't want alcohol, she wanted soda and it looked like there wasn't any around her, "Ugh, ain't there some goddamn Coke in this place?"

Suddenly, someone extended their arms, holding a bottle in front of Lulu, "They got Pepsi."
Lulu grimaced, grabbing the bottle and reluctantly filling her cup, "Who the fuck drinks Pepsi... seriously."
The person let out a soft chuckle and Lulu looked over as she realized she had already seen the guy at her school. However, they had never properly talked.
Lulu opened her eyes a little wider, "The face tat's really cool."
The guy smiled, looking away as he awkwardly bit his lip, "Thanks... Uh, I'm Elliot."
"Nice to meet you," she replied, "I'm Lulu."
"I know," Elliot replied as he noticed she looked at him confused, "I-I mean, you're in movies and stuff."
Lulu softly laughed, "You make music, don't you?"
Now, it was Elliot's turn to be surprised. He looked so shocked to hear she might have heard anything about his music that he looked like a deer caught in the headlights, "Uh... yeah? How'd you know that?"
"There aren't many artists around here," she replied, "I've never heard any of your work though."
Elliot scratched the back of his neck, "I-I could make that happen, I guess? I mean... Ion know, if you want."
Lulu chuckled at the guy's awkwardness, "Yeah, sure. Totally down for that."
The two exchanged a smile but she noticed Nate in her eyesight. She didn't waste a second and snapped her head towards Fezco, who was glaring at the tall guy. She looked back at Elliot, who was still looking at her with a smile, "I guess I'll see you around?"
"Yeah, yeah," Elliot blabbered quickly.
"It was nice talking to you," she said before leaving him.
A minute later, she was by Fezco's side, who was standing up. She looked at him intensely and Fezco knew what it meant. That she was on her side no matter what. He took a deep breath and removed his navy sweater as Lulu reached out for it and decided to put it on.
Fezco stared at her before kissing her with intensity, "What'd I say? You should keep my clothes, they look too good on ya."
Lulu cocked her head to the side, unable to contain her smile, "Shut up, go do your thing."
Suddenly, he was serious again, "No matter what happens, you get into the car. Ash's in it already."
"Okay."
She watched him going all the way towards Nate and decided to light a cigarette, intently watching the two guys currently having a discussion. Fezco hadn't been entirely clear when he had mentioned he needed to get back at Nate. She knew her boyfriend was most certainly capable of digging into darker places to protect himself and the ones he loved, however she didn't think he would go as far as killing the guy during a party.
In other circumstances, maybe.
Slowly, she took a few steps, as if she wanted to be closer.
That was when Fezco smashed a liquor bottle on Nate's head and started punching him on the face.
That was when the party stopped and the screaming started. The girl barely noticed the fear that took over Maddy and Cassie's faces, way too absorbed by the flood of violence coming out of Fezco.
"Fezco, stop!" Cassie shouted, "Lulu, say something! Please!"
The brunette snapped her head towards the blonde girl she had been looking for a while back, blowing some smoke in her direction calmly, "Step back or you'll get hurt."
And when McKay finally ended Fezco's uncontrollable fists, Lulu threw her cigarette in an empty beer can and walked past her best friends, stepping over Nate's unconscious body without a single look, getting out of the house to join Ashtray in the car.
