Fez was sitting in the Hub, drinking soda and sitting across from Hyde, who was eating some fries. Izzy was working, standing behind the counter, but she wasn't with them at the moment. Fez was obviously trying to get his friend's attention, due to the loud slurping from his straw.
"That is the saddest sound in the world." He slurped from his straw again. "No more soda for Fez. And no more money for-"
"Fez, do you need me to buy you another soda?"
"Oh Hyde, you do not buy soda. You only rent it." Hyde just stared at him, with a glare that said, I know you did not just say what you just said. "You know what I mean." Hyde continued to stare at him. "I mean you pee it out..."
"I got it. Go." He pointed his fry in the direction of the bathroom. Fez got up and went.
"Hey, Steven. Does Fez need a refill? On me." Izzy asked, walking up to their table.
"Uh, yeah, sure. Hey, when do you get off work today?"
Izzy clicked her tongue. "Um, at four, I think. Why? You wanna do something?"
Hyde opened his mouth to answer, but Fez ran back to the table. "Oh Hyde, Izzy, I am afraid."
"What's wrong?" Izzy asked.
"Hey! Lil' Forman! We need you back here!"
Izzy turned to look at the counter, then sighed. "Coming, Frank! Be back in a sec with some pop." She ruffled Hyde's hair and left.
"Alright, Fez, spill your guts." Hyde said, picking up another fry.
"You see, When I broke up with Crazy Caroline, I told her I was in love with Izzy. But I'm not in love with Izzy, you are in love with Izzy." He thought for a moment. "Hey, could I borrow Izzy?"
"Uh... sure?"

Back in the basement, Eric, Donna, Fez, and Hyde were watching Kelso and Jackie. The couple was sitting on the couch, staring at each other with smiles.
"I don't want to blink because I'm afraid of missing a second of your cuteness." Kelso said.
"I know. It's torture for me too!"
"I could tear your eyelids off." Hyde mumbled.
Jackie turned and glared at Hyde. "Come on Michael. Let's go to a place where our love is understood."
"Oh hey," Eric said. "While you're there... check out the new monkey house."
Fez scowled. "Oh, it never ends with those two. 'I love you. I love you. I love you.' Ah, pfft!"
"It won't last." Hyde said, shaking his head. "Trust me. An unnatural state must return to its natural state. Thus, Kelso and Jackie will have a fight any day."
"Really?" Fez's voice was full of hope.
"It's simple physics."
"Hey guys, we should get a pool going." Donna said. She sat down on the couch and grabbed a pen and paper. "We'll draw a bet for five days. And if they fight on your day you win the pot."
"A pot?" Fez asked. "If that's a prize, then I am in."
Izzy came in through the basement door, smiling brightly. "Hey guys!"
"Hey." Hyde said. She came over and sat at his feet, resting her head against his leg.
"Izzy, I can't thank you enough for agreeing to help me with Caroline."

Izzy laughed. "Hey, anything for a friend, Fez. But if she tries to hurt me, I'm using you as a shield."
"Likewise."
"So while you're with Fez, it looks like Hyde's free Friday night." Eric said.
Izzy hummed. "Oh hey, that's right. Hyde, I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to miss out on our weekly movie night." She groaned. "And it was my turn to pick!"
"Well, what'd you pick?" Hyde asked.
"Uh, Turning Point."
He scowled. "The ballerina movie?" His voice dripped with sarcasm as he said, "Oh, no."
-
The next day, Izzy and Fez went to the Hub for their "date."
"So, our first date." Fez said. "I guess we're officially a couple now. A couple of knuckleheads huh? Oh, I make me laugh." He laughed awkwardly.
Izzy spotted Caroline walking into the building, looking around for them. "Oh, here she comes."
"Show time."
To be frank, they had a great time. They danced at the jukebox, they ate food together, drank a soda with crazy straws that Fez had excitedly brought, and even kissed a little bit, just to annoy Caroline that little bit more. The entire time, Caroline was in the corner, absolutely fuming.
Eventually, she had clearly had enough, because Izzy and Fez saw Caroline go up to the jukebox and pull the plug, then storm out. Izzy just turned to Fez and held her hand out for him, which he gladly high-fived.

In the basement a few days later, Kelso and Jackie were making out on the couch. Eric sat in a chair, counting money for the pool, and Fez and Izzy were looking at records.
Hyde walked in, his eyebrows raising when he saw Jackie and Kelso. "Hey Forman, how goes the pool?"
"Great, I sold fifteen spots. I got today, you got tomorrow."
"What? That bites. They're never gonna last until then."
Kelso pulled away from Jackie. "What won't last until when?"
"Huh?"
"What?"
Hyde realized Kelso was wondering about the pool. "Oh, oh, I, uh, smashed a couple of toes. I'm waiting to see how long before the nails fall off."
"Steven! Gross!" Izzy whined.
Kelso's eyes widened. "I wanna play!"
"Um, Michael, you're a little busy right now." Jackie said, clearly annoyed.
"But Jackie! Those toenails could fall off at any minute."
"Hey! Me!"
Immediately, Kelso's demeanor changed. His voice switched back to calm and collected. "Oh, I'm sorry puddin'." He kissed her for a few seconds, then pulled away. "Okay, now I want pudding!"
Jackie gasped. "Me too! Let's go."
The two ran upstairs, and Eric grabbed the money from Hyde's hand. "I believe this is mine. Thank you all for playing."
"What?! That wasn't a fight!"
"Let's let Izzy decide, she's the bet commissioner. Iz, fight or no?"
Izzy laughed and shrugged. "I'm sorry Eric, but I'm gonna have to say no. The pool goes on."
"But Izzy!"
"No whining! It goes on!"
Eric crossed his arms. "You just want Hyde to win."
Izzy rolled her eyes. "Shut up." She paused, then headed towards the stairs. "Great, now I want pudding. Steven?"
Hyde looked over, then shrugged and got up. "Ah, what the hell."
-
In the kitchen, Izzy was sitting on the table while Hyde sat next to her, his arm around her. He was holding a pudding cup, periodically lifting the spoon to her mouth, which made her laugh every time.

"So, Izzy Bee, pretending to be Fez's girlfriend has to be kinda a drag huh?"
Izzy raised her eyebrows, a smile on her face. "No! Fez is great! Last night he took me out for Putt Putt, and tomorrow he's taking me on a hayride. He's actually, like, so charming! I can actually see why Caroline is stalking him."
Hyde scowled. "You know, I would've taken you on a hayride."
Izzy laughed. "It's nice spending time with him, too. I don't get a lot of one-on-one time with that boy, and it's pretty cool."
Hyde just mumbled a small, "Hm," which made Izzy give him a sideways look.
"What's goin' on?" She narrowed her eyes. "What are you upset about?"
"What, why would I be upset?"
"When you're upset about something, the corners of your mouth turn down." She nudged him with her shoulder. "So... are you gonna tell me? Or are you just gonna keep feeding me pudding?"
He paused, thinking for a second. "Uh, pudding's good."
"Okay, well that wasn't-" He cut her off with a spoonful of pudding, which made her laugh loudly. "Fine, fine! I'll drop it."
-
In the basement the next day, Hyde and Eric were behind the couch, sitting on stools, waiting for Jackie and Kelso to fight. The couple was sitting on the couch watching TV. Izzy was in Hyde's chair, looking at the pool chart and counting money.
"Damn." Hyde mumbled, checking his watch repeatedly. He got up and started pacing, still looking at his watch. He then went to sit next to Kelso and Jackie. "Oh hey, Kelso, Pam Macy called. She said she had a really good time making out with you last night."
Jackie turned to Kelso with wide eyes. "Michael!"
"No!" Kelso yelled defensively. "No, we did not!"
"Fight! Fight!" Hyde said, smiling like a child.
Izzy sighed. "Steven, that's cheating. And mean."
"Shut up! My day is almost over! Now hurry up and fight!" He ran and knocked Kelso's drink over on Jackie.
"You klutz!" Jackie gasped. "Will you watch it!"
Hyde nodded. "Isn't Kelso a klutz? I think you should hit him!"
"Steven, why are you trying to make us fight?"
"Because I got today in the pool! So come on Jackie! Hit him!"
Jackie sat back in her seat, the gears clicking together in her mind. "Oh my god, I get it. The pool wasn't about Steven's toenails. These idiots bet on when you and I would fight!"
Hyde looked at Kelso with wide eyes. "Are you going to take that, man?! She called your friends idiots. I think you better kick some ass!"
"No wait!" Kelso held hands out. "The pool was about us?" Everyone nodded. "Damn! I wish I had a piece of that!"
"Michael! You would wager against our love?"
"Well, damn, Jackie! How often in a lifetime do you have a run at a sure thing?!"
Jackie gasped and hit Kelso on the arm, which made Hyde throw his hands in the air. "Game over!"
"What's all the racket about?" Red yelled, coming down the stairs.
"Well, that's just the sound of me winning seventy-five bucks!" Hyde said, looking very proud of himself.
"Not so fast, cheater!" Eric yelled, standing up. "It's two minutes past midnight, which means it's the next day, which means you lose!"
"Serves you right!" Jackie said.
Kelso nodded. "Yeah!"
"Oh shut up Michael!"
Izzy looked at the chart. "Um, it looks like the winner is 'RF'. Who's 'RF'?"
Red smiled and grabbed the money from Hyde's hands. "I believe this is mine. Thank you all very much."
-
Friday night, Izzy and Fez sat in the movie theater on a date, but Izzy's mind was elsewhere.
"Hyde seemed upset the other day. I think he's been avoiding me. He still won't tell me what's up, and it's killing me, Fez. I just-"
"Izzy, when we are in public you are with me. Hyde is dead to you."
They saw Caroline come in, who tried to make her way across the row. "Excuse me... sorry... Move it!" She sat right behind Fez and Izzy.
"Oh boy, here comes trouble." Fez whispered. "Caroline! I was just offering my girlfriend, Izzy, a sip from my straw. We don't care about germs, since she has had her tongue in my mouth." He offered Izzy her drink, and she giggled exaggeratedly and took a sip.
Caroline narrowed her eyes, watching very closely. "You know what? I think this is all an act. I think you're not really dating."
Fez looked panicked. "Well.... well, maybe this will convince you!" He turned and started absolutely necking Izzy. "Come on Iz, put some leg into it!"
"Oh please," Caroline rolled her eyes. "If you were really dating, you would've at least gone to second base by now."
Fez shrugged. "When you are right, you are right."
He reached for Izzy's chest, who gasped and smacked his hand away. "Okay, no. Listen, Caroline! Fez just... doesn't like you anymore!"
Caroline's face fell. "Fez, is this true?"
"Yes?" Fez's voice was meek.
"Then I guess we really are over..." She said sadly. She quickly perked up, a large smile on her face. "Alright! Enjoy your movie." She started making her way back to the other side of the row, accidentally kicking a man in the leg on the way. She looked up, noticing it was Hyde, dressed in all black.
"Ow." Hyde said, annoyed.
"Gee, I'm sorry. Oh, it's you, Hyde!" She looked him up and down. "Looking good! Call me!
Izzy turned to look over, her eyebrows furrowed. "Steven! What are you doing here?"
Hyde looked like a deer caught in the headlights. "Are you kidding me? It's the, uh, Turning Point. Yeah, y'know, I just love ballet movies. They really make you think. Like, uh, how'd their feet get so pointy? Now that's a mystery I'm determined to solve." Izzy just smiled and shook her head. "What?"
"You're an idiot." Hyde jumped over the seats to sit next to Izzy, putting an arm around her.
"Um, excuse me." Fez said awkwardly. "Excuse me, but our date is not over. Now, good day, sir."
Hyde scowled. "But Fez-"
"I said good day!"
"Fez, I'm not going anywhere."
Fez paused. "Fine!" He grabbed his coat and quickly left.
Izzy turned and looked up at Hyde. "Were you..."
"No."
"Jealous?"
"No!"
Izzy sat back in her seat, looking at the screen with a smile tugging at her lips. "Fine."
Hyde ran a hand through his hair. "I just... our weekly movie nights are ours."
She smiled and tapped his nose. "Yes, they are."
