. For some reason I was mad at Jules, I know Rue would never admit it, but Jules was the reason Rue was in the hospital. As we sat there I held Rue' left hand while Jules held her right.
"Fez got the cops called on him." I said looking at Rue.
"Are you okay?" Rue asked looking at me.
"I doesn't matter if I'm okay, I got bigger shit to worry about, like, you." I said smiling at her as Jules was zoned out.
"Did all this happen because I left?" The girl with the bleach blonde hair asked.
"No."
"You promise?"
"Yeah, I promise." Rue said holding out her pinkie finger that Jules wrapped hers around. "I felt like this my whole life, Jules. Not all the time, but sometimes. You two make it better though." Rue said looking at me and Jules.

After I visited Rue I went to go see Fez. As I walked up to the corner store I saw him standing there.
"There you are babygirl." He said as he pulled my close to him and kissed me. "I didn't know if you were chill or nah, after last night." He said looking into my eyes.
"I'm fine, I was just worried. What did the cops say?" I asked as I handed him the bag with all the pills in it.
"They couldn't arrest me cause we flushed everything. Is this the bag?" He asked.
"Yeah. It has all your shit in it."
"And you didn't take anything?" He asked looking at me nervously.
"No, I'm still clean." I said kissing him.
"Good." He whispered making me smile.
"So, what are we doing today?" I asked as I walked over to the front counter and sat on it.
"Ion, I was thinkin' we could go back to my place and smoke some weed while we watch a movie." He said as he walked over towards me.
"Sounds fun." I said smiling as he picked me up off the counter. I wrapped my legs around him as he carried me to his car and put me in the passenger seat. After he placed me down he yelled at Ash to watch the store and got into the drivers seat. As we walked into his house he pinned my against the front door.

"I love you so much, babygirl." He whispered into my ear as he began to kiss me.
"I love you too, Fez." I said as he picked me up and carried me to his room. When we entered his room he threw me into his bed roughly as he climbed on top of me. "So does this mean no movie?" I asked as I giggled.
"Screw that movie, I'd rather fuck you." He said as he tore my shirt off.

A few days past and it was the night of the school dance. As I sat in Jules' room with her and Rue I sighed.
"Rue, you look fucking amazing." Jules said as we both looked and the tan girl.
"Jules, I am deeply uncomfortable right now." Rue said as she stood awkwardly.
"Listen, you look hot." Jules said getting off her bed and walking towards Rue. "And the fact that you usually dress like Seth Rogen, all though you make it look cute sometimes, like, it crushes my soul."
"She doesn't dress like Seth Rogen." I whispered as I tried to defend Rue. I could tell that Jules was going through shit, but Rue needed her as much as she needed me. I also didn't think it was right for Jules to try to change Rue, and even though I would never tell Rue this: I knew Jules wasn't good for her mental state.
"When was the last time you didn't wear a hoodie and sweatpants?" Jules asked looking at the girl.
"I don't know, like.....now."
"Exactly. Which is why we're gonna finish." Jules said as she pulled Rue onto her bed making me giggle.
"Hey, I'm gonna go into the bathroom and get into my dress." I said looking at them as they nodded. When I got into the bathroom I put on my short black lace cocktail dress and my black heels. After that I put my hair into a loose bun, leaving some strands loose. As I walked out of the bathroom they both looked at me.
"You look fucking fantastic!" Jules said as she ran over to me and pulled me over to her bed. "Can I do your makeup?"
"Of course you can." I said softly.

"You look great, Eva." Rue said smiling at me.
"Thanks babes." I said kissing her on the cheek as Jules began on my makeup. "So Jules, how was the weekend with your city friends?"
"It was, like, the most amazing weekend ever. I legit can not stop thinking about it, you know." She paused as she applied some dark eye shadow to my eye lids. "It was, like, the first time....I ever felt like I had a family, that wasn't my dad, or like, you two. And oh my god!" She gushed. "You two would die for Anna."
"Who's Anna?" Rue asked.
"She's just, like, next level. I don't know."
"Did you guys like hook up or something?" Rue asked nervously.
"Yeah. It was kind of crazy. We went to the club, and the energy was, like, crazy in there. It like matches hers, and then I was feelin' it. And she just, like, grabbed me and sort of like, pushed me down and kissed me. And she fuckin' bit me!" Jules exclaimed.
"What do you mean she bit you?"
"Like, when we were hooking up, she, like, fully bit me." Jules said as she unzipped her pants and showed us. "Look."
"Oh okay." Rue said as she ran her fingers against it.
"Did it hurt, or did it like, feel good?" I asked.
"It felt amazing." Jules stayed as she zipped her pants back up and began to work on my makeup again. "Has anyone ever done that to you two?" She asked.
"I mean, Fez like does it when he's givin' me hickeys sometimes." I said smiling as Jules giggled.
"What about you, Rue?"
"No." Rue said smiling.
"Do you wanna see what it feels like?" Jules asked.
"I don't know?" Rue said giggling as Jules bit her on the neck a little. "Ow!" Rue yelled lightly.
"What?" Jules asked.
"Ow!" Rue yelled a little louder making me laugh.
"You don't like it?" I asked.
"I don't think so."
"I see." Jules said as she put some lip gloss on my lips.
"But you like it." Rue said to Jules.
"Yeah, I liked it." Jules whispered as she put some glitter on my cheek bones. "I don't know, you two gotta meet these kids. 'Cause I swear, you two would fuckin' flourish in that energy. I never felt anything like it." She said pausing as she looked at me. "There." She said as she played with my hair. "I missed you two so much." She said as she hugged us both. We all got up from the bed and Rue walked over to the mirror. Jules and I followed her and we both hugged her from behind.
"You look beautiful." Jules said looking at Rue in the mirror. "So do you Eva."
"Thanks, you both look amazing too." I said as I kissed Rue on the cheek.
"By the way, fuck Nate Jacobs." Rue said making me and Jules smile.
"Yeah, fuck Nate Jacobs." Jules and I said at the same time.
"Okay let's head downstairs." Jules said as her and I let go of Rue. As we walked down stairs we saw Rue's mother and Jules' father talking on the couch and drinking.
"Are you guys drinking wine?" Jules asked as we stood in front of them with our arms linked together.
"I mean, barely." Rue's mother said.
"We were waiting for you girls to leave so we could get into the hard stuff." Jules' father said jokingly. Rue's mother laughed and then looked at back her with worried eyes.
"It's cool, I'm not triggered or anything." Rue said as she grabbed her arm and yelled. "It's a joke." She said making me laugh.
"Okay let's take some pictures. Come on." Rue's mother said as we all began to get into poses for pictures. "You all look so cute together." She said smiling.
"Leslie, can you take a picture on my phone, just so I can send it to my boyfriend?" I asked handing her my phone.
"Of course sweetie." She said as she took the picture. When we were all done taking pictures we took my car and drove to the dance.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
