-Penpoint may post some of interesting parts/lines of the various entries anywhere over the internet.

-Use Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx file) as your writing medium.

-Language: English, Filipino, Tagalog, or Taglish

-Type: Short Story

-Length: 7,500-10,000 Words

-Maximum No. of Entries: NO LIMIT

-Format and design of the entry:

*Leave the margin as default

-The author is allowed to hide his/her real identity but his/her contact info is advised to be shared genuinely to Penpoint for cases of important matters (e.g. announcement of winners, etc.)

-To maximize chance of winning, scan the criteria for judging for clearer and better ideas.

-If the entry has to be source-related, sources must be included in the content in APA format. (APA format is searchable over the internet.) Penpoint takes plagiarism very seriously. If found guilty of this activity, Penpoint will not take responsibility in favor of the violator. The participant engaged in such crime will be automatically disqualified.

-Works which are already published over the internet or in hard copy materials are not accepted (e.g. Wattpad, Facebook, freelance site, etc.)

-SAVE AND NAME THE FILE ACCORDINGLY WITH YOUR NAME AND THE DATE IT IS SUBMITTED. (e.g. Phil Lihp, November 8, 2017.docx)

-Not following on the format will cause to deduction of possible maximum points.

-Pass your entry (as '.doc' or '.docx' --- use MS Word) via email to: (Do not encrypt the file.)

-Entries which are likely perfect in the use of PUNCTUATIONS, PARAGRAPHS, and TYPOGRAPHY are also likely to win --- so you also have to focus on the proofreading aspect.

-NO REVISION POLICY: The first file of one single story to be sent to our email shall be the final file and will be considered as one entry. It should be the file to be evaluated by the panel of judges. Any other duplicates due to revisions and editing shall not be considered.

-QUOTA: Penpoint should receive at least 12 ENTRIES in the contest (It doesn't mean you have to pass 12 entries. It refers to all entries of all participants.). If quota is not reached at the end of the day of submission, the contest shall extend another 30 days allotted for submission of entries. If not reached for another time, another 30 days will be utliize, so on and so forth. Whatever number of entries collected on specified extension will be counted --- considering the entries have reached the quota.

-The contestant must follow the major rules of the contest as stated by the contest managers. (e.g. the file format, where to send the entry, what type of work must be passed, etc.)

-DISQUALIFICATION:

•When the participant is one of the judges of the contest.

•When the author commits plagiarism.

•When the author bears fraudulent information and unsuitable words.

•When in case of any files sent to Penpoint contain offensive, out-of-law, inappropriate, damaging and disturbing phrases, words, or ideas.

-The criteria for judging shall be announced and must be included in the content of the contest ads or announcements.

-The registration shall be handled by the authority, ONLY, and the registration may be FREE or NOT --- depending on the preference of the contest conductors. This is case to case basis. For constests of paid registration, the amount shall be announced and must be honestly transacted by both sides, by Penpoint and the participant.

-Any entries passed shall be evaluated by Penpoint's panel of judges. The judges may be altered anytime without prior notice. The number of judges shall also be announced. The entries shall be evaluated under the set criteria for judging, and nothing else.

-The decision of the panel of judges shall be final and irrevocable upon announcement of winners.

-The personal background of the judges may be shared in the content of contest ads or announcement. This is for the satisfaction of the participants.

-There shall be one person standing as the chairman in the panel of judges for cases needing special decisions.

-Penpoint Official ©, as a team, shall be given the right to use the passed entries for further publishing (e.g. post on the Penpoint's official website, paperback publishing, etc.), upon receiving them by any means. The author's name will be displayed for a credit. Thus, upon sending the entries, the author agrees and gives Penpoint the right to showcase his work/s in public with services made by Penpoint. Submission of entries means 'Yes, I agree to the Terms and Conditions!'.

-The contest shall always be open for sponsors and donations, paid marketing ads, and other special features. This is to make the event more effective and efficient.

-The winner/s of the certain contest shall be automatically recognized as Penpoint official writers. The winner/s will be negotiated with partnerships and opportunities.

-Again, MOST IMPORTANTLY: Do not send any of your works, nor join the contest if you disagree to our Terms and Conditions. We are not liable to any problems that may be encountered because of your irresponsibility.
