《Slugterra Episode 1》The first duel

When they arrived at the tournament, they got off their mechas and saw that many participants were already there and were firing at targets. They then continued walking towards a booth.
At the booth, Eli scribbled his name on what seemed like a register and the host walked over to take a look. He lifted the board and told everyone Eli's name.
Everyone who heard that laughed at Eli. The girl who had saved him life earlier now held a camera and turned around upon hearing what the host said.
Eli walked away and Pronto freaked out hearing that.
He quickly covered his mouth and rushed to the side of Eli.
*runs off*
Eli continued walking, exploring the area.
Eli moved back a little.
She looked into her camera and continued filming.
She looked away from the camera and faced Eli.
Trixie continued filming and watching films.
Nearby, two guys were duelling. One was running the opposite of his opponent as his opponent fired a tormato. The Tormato hit the ground and created a tornado which whirled him in and swung him away. The winner danced in victory happily.
Trixie then filmed John Bull again, before pausing to look back at Eli.
It turned out that Pronto had brought back a sparring partner for Eli, and he was very big. Burpy quickly hopped into a barrel from Eli's shoulder, terrified.
Kord clenched his fists and made his knuckles crack.
Pronto crossed his arms and was very pleased with himself.
Pronto crossed his arms pettily like he was offended.
Kord excitedly grabbed Eli, lifted him off the ground and gave him a tight hug.
At an empty sparring arena, Kord opened a slug rack and released Floppers.
He bent down and held out a hand for a couple of Floppers to jump up.

Eli stands up and both of them take a few steps back.
The Floppers then hopped into the barrels on Eli's chest and Eli put the Flopper on his hand into the barrel he holding on to.
He then placed the barrel into the ammo feed.
Kord fires a phosphoro that exploded in mid-air in a shower of sparks suddenly and Eli fell, blinded by the light. Trixie laughed and Pronto face-palmed.
Kord again suddenly fires a Tormato that hit the ground and whirled Eli in then out. Eli became dizzy. Trixie waved for his attention to give him a tip.
He quickly smooths his hair down, which was messed up by the tornado.
Eli fired a Flopper, which Kord dodged. Kord then fired a Bubbaleone at him. It hit Eli and bounced him up and down.
The Bubbaleone pops and turned back into a slug, causing Eli to fall onto the ground. Eli grunts in pain and Pronto sighed in disappointment and frustration. Eli and Kord duelled again. This time, Eli fired a Flopper again and Kord fired a Jellyish. Kord moved aside and dodged Eli's Flopper while Eli jumped aside, avoiding the goo from the Jellyish. Eli turned around and aims at Kord.
Eli immediately fired a Flopper at the ground in front of Kord. The Flopper released gas when it hit the ground and Kord covered his face with his hand.
Eli had disappeared from where he was standing. Kord, Trixie and Pronto looked around but could not see him. Eli quickly stood up from behind Kord and slapped him on the shoulder, causing Kord to give a whimpering sound in fear. That deemed Eli the winner of that duel and Pronto raised his hands, cheering.
A Flatulorhinkus chirped in front of Eli and it looked like it was about to explode. It then gave a huge stink bomb, releasing stink gas.
Eli sat down on a box and Pronto stood on a taller one, trying to fan away the lingering stink on Eli.
Eli became disappointed.

Palus Somni
It is the final days after the end of the world and you only have one month left before the last sanctuary erupts into chaos. There's a dead body hanging from a tree and cadaverous giants watch you sleep at night. The end is already here, you just don't know it yet. Now rated in the top 3% of all novels on Royal Road! Palus Somni (‘Marsh of Sleep’) is a worldbuilding webnovel about what happens when your God forsakes you. Inspired by gothic horror and mingled with British myth and folklore, join the Alucinari nuns as they struggle with day-to-day life after the world has ended. Every night when the sun sets the monstrous Gol, colossal beings with too many teeth, awaken and roam the marshlands. Only those with a faithful heart will be spared. Young acolyte Wille has never seen the walls fail, but when a fellow nun is murdered within their sanctum the very safety of the monastery is thrown into question. Did the Gol find a way to breach their defences, or is there a human traitor amongst them? The answer lies both far in the past and deep beneath the earth, through the maze of ancient catacombs. With a cast of over thirty different characters, watch as your friends and enemies spiral into inevitable madness at the hands of a callous and unforgiving world. Discover the secrets of Palus Somni through letters, diary entries and notes found scattered across the monastery. Uncover the mystery of the grotesque giants that stalk the night and bring your challenge to the Gods themselves. Each character has their own handmade pixel art, and every update includes a music recommendation for a dark atmospheric dungeon synth album that you can listen to while you read. Slice of life meets cosmic abomination: Palus Somni is a collection of intertwining stories, some chapters are stand-alone tales while others feed into the overarching narrative. It is an exploration into a community, and rather than focusing on any one character the story meanders through the convent, exposing the hopes and fears of its inhabitants. Story updates every full moon.

Migrated from: https://www.wattpad.com/story/187324475-querencia-quintet-polarity-pestilence This is my official work and my official username, both on Royal Road and Wattpad. Any reposts of Querencia Quintet are not mine and should be reported straight to myself, all copyright ... rights... are withstanding. Book one in the Querencia Quintet franchise is titled "Polarity/Pestilence" and it starts off with our sarcastic, overpowered protagonist, Charley Dunne, a 17 year old werewolf who has been cordially invited by his Werewolf clan's boss, Markus Fell. The invitation is related to Charley's supernatural academy's graduation party. He is about to move out of his parents' house and attend college. The events prior to his successful passing marks within his last exam, all 17 years of his life, have been leading up to one moment and one moment only; war. The war shall begin when he turns 18, the night of April 2nd, 2017. Whose side(s) will Charley Dunne possibly select as his loyal allies; Fleshflingers (Zombies)? Moonbearers (Werewolves)? Spellcasters (Witches and Wizards)? Bloodsuckers (Vampires)? Or Mortals (Humans)? A few, more than a few, or, miraculously, will he be able to unite all five supernatural Councils (groups) and form an eternal pact that may just last a dozen or so centuries? Find out in the very first instalment of: Querencia Quintet. Quoted from my official Wattpad story's description: "Werewolves. Demons. Angels. Spirits. Vampires. Zombies. Humans -- and the greatest supernatural species of them all; witches. The nine Lords of the Night, the thirteen Lords of the Day, the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the god of war, Horus, and the greatest progenitor of the mystical arts, Merlin. These five Councils could form a pact that lasts many lifetimes ... but will their differences and flaws work against them? Do the five magical chambers butt heads, or do they accept their uniqueness and strengths and work together?"
