I let out a small yelp as Luca threw me over onto the ground and I gritted my teeth as I fell. We were out training on the pavement so the gravel scraped against my skin. Sometimes it's good to train without protective gear- it makes the fight more realistic.
I stayed laying down on my ass and took a deep breath. I stood up and placed my hands on my hips as I caught my breath and pulled my hair back out my face. The sun rays beat down against my face as I looked up and I shielded my eyes.
The air smells like it might rain pretty soon.
"Luna, why'd you stop?" Luca asked, walking toward me and I looked back at him, "No reason... Hey Luca... Do you feel that?"
"Feel what?"
"I don't know, there's something different about today. The sky seems sad, " I said, mumbling the last part to myself. I wiped my hands on my shirt and clenched my hands into fists before holding them back up and turning to him.
I've got to get stronger.
Somehow I feel like something important will happen soon, and when it does, I want to be ready for it. I looked toward Luca and eyed his movements as he came at me and I dodged out of his way as his fists swung past me. I thought I'd gotten a move off on him but he slipped his foot underneath mine and tripped me back down to the ground.
"You've still got a long ways to go, Luna." He took a breath and slung his towel over his shoulders, "Let's get back, smells like it's about to rain."

I nodded and we shifted into our wolves before running back to the rest of the pack. Malia was waiting inside for us- she was standing by the window of the pack house. She waved when she saw us both and we shifted back into our human forms before going inside. The rain started pouring out the second we got in and Luca let out a low whistle, "Guess I was right."
I said it first.
He planted a kiss on Malia's lips and I turned my attention back to outside as she giggled. I wonder if I'll find my mate soon too.
I sighed and shook my head before leaning back on the couch and closing my eyes. He's out there somewhere...
I just have to find him.
