《The Banshee (Jasper Hale x OC)》Chapter 19

"This is going to be a disaster" I told Bella while we were getting the tickets.
"Probably" she said.
"I mean, I'm a third wheel. Those boys like you, not me. Why am I even here?" I asked.
"Because you're an awesome sister?" she asked and I sighed.
"You owe me big time. Next time, I drive to school" I said and smiled.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you got your licence" she said.
We walked back to the boys, who were even more awkward.
"So short version" I said. "Jessica bailed, which I wanted to do too but Bella won't let me" Bella poked me in the ribs. "Oh, and Angela got the stomach flu, so Eric's taking care of her"
"So it's just us four" said Bella.
"Yay" I said with sarcasm.
~
The movie was horrible... But Jacob was getting warmer and warmer...
He could change soon... but change into what?
I looked at Bella, she sat between Jacob and Mike, who both held their hands upside down so she could hold them.
'This is even worse than being a third wheel'
"Okay, I think I'm gonna throw up" said Mike and ran out of the theatre.
We followed him and he began to puke in the bathroom.
"Jeez" said Bella.
"What a marshmallow" said Jacob.
"Hey! Don't insult marshmallows, they are delicious" I said and smiled.
"You should hold out for someone with a stronger stomach" said Jacob.
'Great, I'm being ignored. Again...'
"Someone who laughs at the gore that makes weaker men vomit" he said.
"Yeah, I'll keep my eye open for that" said Bella.
"Okay, I'm gonna go outside. Need some fresh air" I said and left them, since none of them realised I was even there...
I walked outside and called Jasper again. Straight to voicemail...

"Hey Jasper. So, Face Punch sucks. It's absolutely horrible, disgusting... I've been feeling weird lately. Around the Rez, where the Black family lives, I've been feeling this weird warm feeling and it creeps me out sometimes. What's even weirder is that I've felt it when I saw a huge black wolf. But that doesn't make any sense, now does it? I just wish that you were here, I always feel safe around you..." I said and I saw Jacob storming outside. "Jacob? I have to go. I know you probably won't call me back, but I really want to hear your voice, Jazz. I miss you. Bye..." I hung up and ran towards Jacob.
"Jacob!" I shouted and he turned around. "Oh bloody hell" I whispered.
"Emma, your eyes" he said, he was breathing heavily...
I touched his head, he was burning up...
"You have to go home, something is happening to you" I whispered.
"What's happening to you?" he asked, angrily.
"I'm changing, slowly. Just like you. But in something else. Come on, I'll go with you, make sure nothing happens" I said and he nodded.
~
"Billy?" I shouted, Jacob began to breathe even more heavily. "Sam! I need some help!"
"Get away from him, Emma" said Sam and Paul pulled me away from Jacob.
"What's happening to him? What are you?" I asked and they all looked at me.
"What are you?" asked Jared.
"Emma is a Banshee" said Billy, he came to us in his wheelchair. "Well, she's almost a complete Banshee. Thank you for bringing him here, Emma. Your mother was a good friend of our pack"
They took Jacob away and I looked at Sam and in my head I saw the big black wolf.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me. You're the black wolf I saw" I whispered and Sam nodded.

Paul let me go and my eyes stopped glowing.
"You're all bloody werewolves" I said and I saw the tattoo on their arm. "What's that? Why have I been drawing that symbol? Can someone please explain? I'm going crazy, I don't understand"
The ground began to tremble with my heavy breathing.
"Emma" it was Sam. "Calm down, take a deep breath. I'll explain everything to you, I promise"
I looked in his eyes and calmed down.
"Let's get you inside, get you some tea. Do you like lemon tea, like your mother?" asked Billy and I nodded.
~
"We are shapeshifters. Whenever the cold ones, the vampires are near, the magic in our blood awakens and we change" explained Sam.
"So, the changing is happening to Jacob?" I asked and he nodded. "So you can all turn in to big wolves?" nod again. "Oh great..."
"Your mother was a good friend of our tribe. Warning us when the cold ones would return again so we could prepare" said Billy. "Just like her, you are welcome here, Emma"
"Billy is right. We will protect you" said Sam and pointed at the scar on my hand. "What vampire did that? The Cullens?"
'I feel like I shouldn't tell that the one on my hand is from Jasper...'
I shook my head and lifted up my sleeves, exposing the scars and Sam looked shocked.
"My father did this to me. One day he became a vampire, obsessed with surviving death after my mom was killed. So he kept biting me" I explained. "He's gone now. Some other group of vampires killed him"
"I see" said Sam. "Sorry we weren't there to protect you. But we will be here for you now"
"Thank you" I whispered.
"You can't tell anyone about this" said Sam and I nodded.
"I understand. It's not like I can tell anyone I can feel people dying all around me" I sighed and he laid his hand on my shoulder.
"We're really sorry you have to go through that" said Billy. "Mereleona once told me she was like that for 2 years, before she screamed like a Banshee. She told me that control became easier once she screamed"
"Well, that could happen at any moment" I sighed. "I died for a minute, 2 years ago. Ever since I turned 18, it's been getting harder and harder to control myself. I can hardly sleep, I feel like I could explode at any second..."
~
"Jake, your dad says you have mono?" Bella tried calling Jacob again. I couldn't tell her about the truth, even though I wanted to. But it wasn't my secret to tell, it was up to Sam if Bella needs to know or not. "He won't let me visit, but would you call me?"
2 weeks went by and Bella couldn't reach Jacob.
I had been hanging out at the Rez more, I even met Emily, Sam's fiancée. She was really pretty.
But Bella couldn't reach Jacob anymore, he didn't call back.
So, on a rainy day, Bella decided to pay Jacob a visit.
And when she came home, she stormed into my room and hugged me. She was crying and I just let her cry...
