Hades stood on his throne, watching the souls of the damned that presented themselves in front of him, after spending time with his soulmate, his work load piled up to the point where he couldn't ignore it anymore.

His fingers drummed against his throne, this particular soul had his interest. She had been a woman with many wits in her life, she was as cruel as they can be yet even in her afterlife it looked as if she didn't think anyone could touch her.

"And what exactly do you think you are doing?" His fingers didn't stop drumming against the , oh, so gracious throne.

She was looking at him like a parched woman seeing water for the first time in years, her gaze sent a wave of disgust through his body.

The only one who should ever look at him like that is his love.

"I can offer you pleasure, King Hades, like none other you've ever had." Her voice was as high pitched as a whistle to his ears and it was extremely annoying.

"And do pray tell, how do you intend to do that?" He was playing right into her game, he was bored and missed Eris, sadly he had no other source of entertainment than this sad excuse of a woman.

She trailed her fingers down her body in a seductive manner, reaching her nipples she pulled them and moaned.

"Stop." The repugnance could be heard in his tone.

He was not pleased by the fact that the souls entering his realm after death were naked yet he couldn't change that because it was a necessity for him to assess them properly, they spoke the truth under the pressure of judging eyes placed upon their bodies, that's just how shallow those creatures were.

"I have no need for this show. You shall be chained up and tortured for the rest of your existence. Raping men for your status in the society is a reason itself but torturing the children you carried after those copulations just for fun is nauseating. It proves just what kind of eternity you deserve." Maddox, his right hand took it upon himself to drag the yelling desperate woman to the dungeon after his declaration.

His fingers stopped moving at the sight that greeted him.

The next soul that entered the headroom surprised him, a breathless chuckle escaped him and his eyes widened.

"Ezra." His voice was laced with laughter.

"Don't look so surprised to see me, I'm not here for myself." Ezra motioned towards the person hiding behind him.

"This right here is a man I caught and tortured today.. sadly I might have slipped and killed him a little too fast." His tone was mocking.

The man behind him shuddered but at the knowledge of where he was, he straightened his shoulders and walked confidently to the middle of the room, he was sure that the vampire King couldn't torture him further down there because it was Hades's lair, not Ezra's anymore.

His lips lifted to a smile.

"God of the underworld, Hades." He smiled and went on one knee to pay his respects, he thought that by getting on his good side, he could avoid suffering.

"Now don't look too smug, you useless motherfucker." Ezra chuckled as well.

Hades watched the two of them and his interest was piqued, he started going through the man's memories, curious as to what made Ezra loose control and kill this man.

He knew Ezra well and he never once lost control up until that point.

Going through their thoughts was usually a painless procedure, he skimmed lightly through things even they forgot before coming to a conclusion but as he watched the memories unfold in Ranta's mind, he was starting to get angry, therefore the procedure stopped being painless and instead became painful, so painful that Ranta started shaking and screaming trying to claw at his head.

"Oh well, I guess you already know." Ezra could barely be heard through Ranta's yelling.

"Take him to Tartarus, Maddox." When he was done, Hades decided that the normal torture wasn't going to suffice for this man.

Maddox barely nodded before taking the screaming man towards Tartarus, they could hear him begging for forgiveness but none would offer.

"We have to tell her, Hades. I extracted as much information as I could from this man before snapping but there were so many things that he didn't remember that I couldn't connect the dots and understand everything.

The demon stationed in front of the gates that held the souls for their punishments was about to bring another soul in but was stopped by Hades.

"We will have to continue later, I have matteres to discuss."

The demon bowed and took his leave, Ezra and Hades stared at each other for a few moments.

"Come to my office and we shall continue there." With those words Hades disappeared.

"Yes, why not leave the dumbass here in the room instead of taking him with..." Ezra muttered annoyed.

"Damn you, Hades." He couldn't help but chuckle at the irony.

Back in Eris's pack, Calysta laid in her bed with her soulmate on top, their lips locked.

"I can't believe that the moon blessed me with a mate, you are so precious to me, you don't even understand my love." He spoke while pulling back, staring at her adoringly.

As strong as she was, Calysta couldn't help but blush under his gaze, she felt utterly stupid, she's never blushed in her entire life yet this beautiful eyed man on top of her made a stuttering fool out of her.

She smiled and traced his jaw lightly with her fingers.

"And I am so enthralled by the fact that I found you." She spoke while smiling.

She truly felt happy but she still had a lot of questions.

"I still do need to know why were you and Axis fighting what are you and where did you come from?" He moved and sat down next to her before pulling her to his side.

He started stroking her hair.

"Well Axis and I seem to have our differences, if I am being completely honest, my love, we enjoy arguing back and forth, even though he would never admit it, I know he likes me more than he lets on." His magenta eyes sparkled with mirth.

Calysta merely let out a laugh at the thought of the brooding Beta engaging in a child's game, she would've never expected that from him.

"And as to your other questions, I can't quite explain, I can't say where I am from, you have to trust me my love, only my Goddes can answer this question."

Calysta's eyes light up with anger.

"And please do tell me, who is this fucking 'goddess' and why do you speak so fondly of her?" She moved away from her male and watched him, expecting a good answer.

He fucking laughed.

"Do not fret my love for I am only yours as you are mine." He stood up after her and pulled her to his chest once again, kissing the crown of her forehead he spoke.

"My Goddess, or as you call her, Alpha Eris is the one that can answer your questions and I am fond of her because she saved me."

Suddenly all of the anger left her body and she relaxed against him.

"Oh, I see." She felt stupid, even though she still couldn't understand why he called her Alpha 'his goddess', it sounded pretty territorial to her.

"Who did she save you from?" She pulled him back on the bed and laid on her back, glancing at the sky through the glass ceiling in her room. Her mate followed suit and glanced at the sky in awe, he truly did miss it.

"From myself."

"I am, what you would call, an experiment. I escaped from the camp you and my Goddess were stuck in years before you were taken from your pack, trust me my love, had I known you would have been brought there, I wouldn't have escaped." He moved his hands down her body towards her thighs, settling them there, he started rubbing them softly.

"I was-am a werewolf, or so I think. After many failed attempts to meddle with my genetics, they started torturing me in hopes of getting a reaction out of their supposedly failed experiments, they thought that maybe I had to be ticked off by something to turn into whatever they wanted me to turn to but they never did, though, one day after injecting me with some weird colored liquid, I started becoming aggressive, I don't know how to explain this but I felt the need to do something, were it to kill someone or to torture someone else, I didn't know, I only understood later in life. My love, I have done horrible things." His grip on her thighs hardened and his eyes became glossy.

"As I was saying, one day I snapped, as beaten down as I was, I succeeded in killing five of my keepers before running out of the cell and through the warriors that tried to stop me, I was fast, unbelievably so. They didn't expect it but neither did I." Calysta moved her eyes to his face and studied him.

He wore a far away look in his face, he didn't seem present. He was lost in the memories.

"After escaping, I was lost, the aggression didn't leave my body, I still wanted to do something, I felt a spark while killing the people that held me but I thought nothing of it at first, I came across a pack, they were good wolves, their Alpha was a hardworking man and the Luna was a lovely woman, always helping someone. They took me in and cared for me, I was so fucking lost and scared that I couldn't talk to anyone, I hated being touched and couldn't stand being in noisy rooms, with time I started feeling better, I started to think of my future, I thought I was becoming better, I started talking to people, I opened up myself and at one point I even became a head warrior in the pack, I finally felt at peace, the pack started blooming and more and more people joined, at one point we became number one in ranking, right under the King's pack." He removed his hands from her thighs and gripped the bed sheets, he was sweating.

"You don't have to continue if you don't want to, it's okay." Calysta felt his pain through their bond and even though it was a small percentage from what he was feeling, she wanted to cry.

"No, it's okay. After a few months, the feeling came back tenfold, the need to kill someone. At some point in became unbearable, I started killing rogues, I didn't question whether they were just lost members of other packs of running away from something, it didn't matter if they were good or had malicious intent, I just killed them, nothing mattered." He shit his eyes tightly remembering the day that made him regret his existence.

"The hunger for pain reached new levels in me, killing those rogues wasn't enough anymore and one day while sitting at the dining table in the pack house, the noise made me snap. I thought I was over it but I wasn't. I don't remember what was it that happened, I just remember waking up to bodies upon bodies, piled on each other." His voice cracked and he slammed a fist against the bed, its creak made Calysta jump.

"Before that day, I had blue eyes, plain normal, common blue. But after that day my eyes turned magenta and they never changed again, after killing my pack, the people who loved and cared for me, I became a monster, I started taking packs down all over the world, no one expected it." His body shook.

"The unhinged murderer." Calysta whispered.

He broke into a laugh, a emotionless one.

"Yes, that's what they called me but then someone worse appeared. Someone whose title is above mine to this day, at first my hunger for pain wanted me to get to this person, I needed to know who it was, I was shocked when I heard that someone was much more dangerous than me, after thinking it through I decided that this person would grant me freedom, if it was stronger than me, it meant that it could kill me." He smiled through his pain.

"But no, the silent Warrior did not kill me. My Goddess took me in, after defeating me in a battle, she showed me through her thoughts who and what she was, until her I have never met anyone who could project their thoughts like that into someone else's mind. She told me she could help me and I trusted her. She put me in a cell, saving me from myself, the cell was coated with something that blocked my powers, something that stopped my ability to destroy everything in my path." His voice was lighter.

"After years in that cell, the hunger stopped, she came to me everyday, she showed me how the world grew through her memories, she fed me and trained me, she taught me how to control it, she gave me a third chance at life." By the time he finished, Calysta threw herself in his arms and sobbed while clutching him tight.

"B-but I don't understand, how did she know what to do?" She asked through sobs.

He shook his head and comforted his beautiful soulmate.

"I don't know." Was his only response.
