"What the fuck is the meaning of this, Eris?" Asked Ezra enraged.

"What was Xyna talking about? I thought you had it all planned out, that we would easily win this war." He walked closer to her and pulled her in his arms, tilting her head to the side, he bent down and inhaled her scent, trying to calm himself down.

"But she does have it all planned out, don't you, my love?" Spoke Hades, moving closer as well.

"She never mentioned the details of her plan, now did she, Ezra?" He chuckled lightly.

"She failed to explain exactly what she needed to do to win this war."

Eris pulled away from Ezra and took a couple of steps back, trying to look at her soulmates and gauge their reactions.

Her mouth moved upwards, with a smirk adorning her face, she pulled a notepad from a drawer under her desk, writing something down on it before handing it to her soulmates.

A booming laughter could be heard.

"You are not alone anymore, mi cielo. We are here for you, to stand behind every decision you make, to support you." Grinned Ezra, excitement rolling off of him in waves.

"Do you really think we would allow you to fight this all on your own?" He cackled.

"We can't really do that, love, now can we?" Smiled Hades.

Eris merely shook her head and turned around, and headed towards the exit only to be stopped by Hades, who tried pulling her to him to restrict her movements but Ezra stopped him.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He spoke lowly.

"Why? You think you can up and leave just like that, love? You think I would allow you to disappear again?" Hades's words were interrupted by Ezra.

"Now, if I were you, I would take a few steps back and stop talking, Hades."

"What do you- ?" His words got stuck in his throat the moment he felt someone slam him against a wall by his neck.

"My love?" He asked shocked.

That was when he decided to take a good look at her, and needless to say, she was displeased.

Her hands tightened around his throat and she raised herself on her toes to reach him with her mouth.

She inhaled slowly, running her nose down his neck towards her mark and Hades took a shaky breath.

She grinned like a cheshire cat and moved her tongue over the beautifully carved mark. She felt Hades's body relax and before he knew it, she brought him to his knees and headed out of the room, leaving Hades in a pleasure induced state, rendering him useless in trying to stop her.

Ezra laughed, a full on laugh, his dimpled cheeks hurt and his eyes crinkled at the corners from the sight. He did expect something along the lines of her ripping Hades's arms off and beating him with them but that was even better.

"Fuck." Were the only words Hades could muster.

That snapped Ezra out of his delight and had him moving forward to help him up, stretching his hand out for Hades.

"I told you to stop, you didn't listen and now you faced the consequences. Who would've thought, a woman brought the Grand Hades down to his knees with nothing but her tongue.

Now that is something worth writing in those books about your reign over the underworld." Chuckled Ezra.

"Not any woman." Answered Hades, his eyes filling with adoration, even though she tricked him in letting his guard down.

"That, you are right about. Not any woman. Our beautiful, cheeky, soulmate." Smiled Ezra softly.

Hades merely nodded before turning to Ezra.

"I will be leaving for the underworld now, would you like to join me or do you have to go back to your kingdom?"

"I would love to join you just to push all your buttons that I know about and who knows, maybe find some more? But sadly, I have to let this once in a lifetime offer pass, for I have some problems to solve back home."

He couldn't avoid his duties any longer and neither could Hades.

They both knew that.

Eris found Calysta on the training grounds, she walked towards her slowly while watching her warriors, they were training harder than ever, at her command, preparing for the upcoming war and she knew it.

Taking silent but meaningful steps towards Calysta, Eris decided to take her by surprise and check on her own progress , if her Gamma was in good shape, it meant her warriors were as well.

She took a glance at one particular sparing couple and noticed them looking straight at her.

Interestingly enough, they were the only ones who dutifully noticed her presence yet she only motioned with her hands for them to continue, not wanting them to hint anything at Calysta and ruin her plan.

Leaping into the air, Eris fell right behind Calysta with a soft thud.

And she did not disappoint.

It took her less than a second to turn towards Eris and swing at her, only to be stopped by Eris's hand. Her eyes held confusion for the way her Alpha approached her, yet it did not deter her from swinging again, this time with all her might, already understanding her Alpha's intention

Eris stood back, avoided her fists and moved fast behind her, grabbing her by her waist and throwing her up in the air, everyone stopped what they were doing and watched their superiors with interest.

She ignored them and jumped towards Calysta, ramming her fist against her jaw mid fall, it only took a moment for her to reach the ground, slamming harshly against it but she stood up as fast as she could and went towards Eris again, already planning a different tactic.

They started circling each other, Eris intended to go first this time and ran towards Calysta, ducking before her legs could connect with her ribs and pushing her to the ground, she took a few steps back, allowing Calysta to get up again but what amused her, were Calysta's switching eyes, it was clear she was fighting over control with her beast and that made her smirk slightly.

As an Alpha, Eris had the ability to bring out the beasts in her people and that's exactly what she did, she knew Calysta was holding back because she didn't want to hurt her friend and Alpha but her beast had one mission, to listen to Eris's orders, which were to fight with everything she's got.

When she finally snapped, and lunged at Eris with a low growl, she smiled.

This time, with her claws out and her shoulders raised, she managed to get close to slicing her open yet she stood back once again which only angered her Beast who tried everything from punching, kicking, biting to swiping and pushing which Eris easily avoided but she took notice of the power behind Calysta's hits which seemed to improve as time passed.

That was all she needed to stop the playful fight.

She ducked under Calysta's outstretched fist and slammed her to the ground.

Straddling her thighs and locking her limbs with her legs, Eris mover her hand over Calysta's heart which promised a deathly blow in battle, to which she finally gave up and titled her head to the side, admitting defeat.

Eris got off of her, helping her up and giving her a nod of approval making Calysta's beast retreat.

"Is it up to your standards, Alpha?" She asked while wincing.

Eris could only notice now the blood dripping from her chin and the slight stagger in her steps.

Eris nodded but motioned towards her feet, understanding what she meant, Calysta spoke.

"I'm currently working on that, Alpha. I seem to have quite the problem relying on my legs in a fight, I mostly use my fists and claws."

Eris nodded and motioned to the warriors that still watched them.

"Continue your training, now." Ordered Calysta.

Eris turned on her heel and headed back towards the pack house, Calysta already following her without needing to be told so.

"Our time is running out, isn't it Alpha?" She asked taking in a shaky breath.

Eris nodded, already thinking about all the casualties this war would cause, all the children who will lose their parents and vice versa, mates losing their other halves, and her people losing their houses.

The war would unmistakably take place on her territory for it it the largest there is and this war is mainly aimed at her, of course the other species would be affected, but not as much as the werewolves would.

Living through more than enough wars, she knew nothing is avoidable and everything is possible.

All is fair in love and war, isn't that what they say.
