《Eris, the Alpha of silence.》Chapter 23

Eris decided to go on a walk, with her head held high, she moved slowly through the forest, the nature helping in clearing her mind.
Her steps were soft, she didn't make a sound, the silence bringing her calmness. She thought about was was to happen, what she had to do and what would the consequences be.
With her hands hanging limply at her sides, she followed a path that lead to a mountain close by. She created that path when she just acquired her territory, she was the only one allowed up there, it was her sacred space, no one ever dared to follow her there.
Reaching the end of the path, which led up to the top of the mountain, Eris sat down and moved her hands to the ground, gripping the grass softly while enjoying the purity around her, the scent unmarked by anything else than nature, she moved her gaze upwards, the sun was setting, one of the most beautiful things she was grateful to see, sadly, she couldn't avoid herself anymore.
Her thoughts started turning dark, the serenity of the place, for once, doing little to help her.
She couldn't escape her one true enemy.
Herself.
Her breaths started getting heavy, there was no escape to what she once thought as a blessing which turned out to be quite the curse. Her beast, roared in anger.
Eris hadn't let her out for some time now which made her antsy. She could feel the battle brewing, her beast wanted out yet Eris didn't want to give up her control over her own body.
In some type of sick and twisted way, she enjoyed the pain that came with the battle of control. She deserved it.
She clenched her eyes shut, her body rigid, her soul trembling with the force of the battle.
She knew she wouldn't lose, she almost never did.
With a snarl, Eris succeeded in holding the reigns to her body once again before breathing deeply.
She opened her eyes only to see the sun disappearing under the clouds of the night.
She lowered her gaze to the beautiful flowers around her and she noticed one of them looked almost dead which was a sad sight to see, she moved closer to it, inspecting it and when she saw a glimmer of life in it, she moved her hands over it in a delicate manner, they heated up and started glowing, she held her hands in that exact position for a few seconds before retreating them slowly, watching the flower come back to life.

She breathed softly to herself before getting up and leaving, once again following the path.
At the middle of the path, Eris lifted her leg slowly and brought it down as hard as she could, the force creating a small earthquake and she waited for a few seconds before the ground opened up and took her in.
Hades chuckled softly, his eyes blazing with childlike curiosity, he felt her enter his realm once again, even though he was extremely far from it.
He excused himself from the meeting he was currently in and left in a rush towards his kingdom, excited to know the reason she was back so early.
It seemed like his search for her wouldn't have to continue, she came to him herself.
His wicked Queen, he thought, which brought a smile to his face, his eyes glowing once again.
Once again, Eris saw Cerberus, the moment their eyes met, he lowered himself to the ground with his heads watching her curiously.
He didn't understand why was she there, he knew his Master went searching for her but he always came back empty handed, but there she was, standing in front of him, her head titled to the side.
Greetings, Cerberus. She thought, she knew he could hear her and for the first time in her life, she saw his eyes widened before narrowing.
It was such a comical sight to see, she decided.
She walked forward, her hands reaching out to touch him in a loving manner.
She truly cared for that creature.
One of his heads nodded towards her before moving aside, allowing her to continue with her apparent mission.
She thanked him silently before moving past him and heading to the palace, her body on fire, filled with desire for the person who possessed the scent that seemed to overpower the palace, as one would call it.
She moved with caution, ignoring the stares burning at the back of her head. She knew they were all curious but they wouldn't ever voice out their curiosity for they knew it wouldn't end well.
Everyone could feel the power radiating off of the woman who walked in the palace like she owned it, and who knew, maybe she did.
She entered his office without any trouble, she didn't even bother knocking, knowing he wasn't there, while his scent was on everything, she knew it was only that, his scent. She couldn't feel him anywhere so she decided to sit on his chair, propping her legs up on his deep brought her a sense of deja vu.

She waited for him while thinking of how it would go.
King Ezra sat on his throne, in his Kingdom, the crown laying lazily on his head, his crimson eyes watching his army's commander with disinterest.
He was speaking yet again about a situation that shouldn't have been out of his control as much as he allowed it to.
"Commander, I do recall telling you not to bother me again with this nonsense. I am disappointed with the way you handle things. I think it is time for you to retire and pass your position to the next best suitor. You haven't been doing your job properly lately and I am under no illusion that this will change."
Commander Christopher let out a shaky breath at the thought. He didn't want to lose his position but he knew that his thoughts and hopes held no regard to his Kings decision. He knew he was right.
"I am truly sorry, your majesty, I will step down as soon as you recruit the new commander, I beg for your forgiveness for I have failed you, my King." He went down on one knee and bowed his head.
Ezra suddenly felt a pressure in his jaw, his eyes widened when he felt his fangs elongate.
Eris he thought before feeling the ground shake under him.
She was going to the underworld, again.
He knew he couldn't allow her to go alone this time and when a mischievous thought ran through his mind, he decided to act on it for once.
"You may leave, we shall speak when I come back."
The commander swallowed before asking.
"If I may ask, my King, where is it that you are leaving?" His voice while small, was heard.
Ezra chuckled, a deep, sarcastic chuckle which could be felt down to the bones.
"It seems as if I must visit an old friend. Leave. Now."
The commander nodded before bowing and leaving.
Ezra smiled, a cruel smile.
After all, his beloved was once again in hell, which was extremely unsafe for her.
If only he knew how wrong he was.
He sat up from his throne and walked to the middle of the ballroom.
He summoned his dark energy before forming a circle with his hands which opened his only way to Lords Hades's underworld.
He took long, powerful strides towards the opening and stepped in.
"Ah, Cerberus, my good old friend, how have you been?" He said with a small, genuine smile.
All three of his heads snapped towards King Ezra in absolute outrage.
First Queen Eris decided on an unplanned visit and now King Ezra as well? He thought in confusion.
Cerberus once again lowered himself to the ground before allowing King Ezra to pass through.
"Thank you, Cerberus, I shall see you soon, I hope?" It was an almost sarcastic remark but Ezra wasn't in the mood to play.
He walked towards the palace only, entering just like Eris did.
"Lord Ezra." Everyone cheered before bowing and lowering their gaze to the ground in astonishment.
"You may rise." Were his only words before heading to Hades's office.
He knocked mockingly before slamming the door open.
"Ah, there you are my love, I thought I lost you for a moment." While the sentence seemed to be true, his voice sounded angry.
His eyes took in her form, the way she casually sat on a desk that did not belong to her, he was surprised to say the least. Eris wasn't one to step over anyone's boundaries so why was she doing exactly that to the only person she probably shouldn't?
He didn't have the time to ask because moments after he spoke, the one and only Hades stepped through the door.
