《Eris, the Alpha of silence.》Chapter 16

Hades started getting antsy, his soulmate was nowhere to be found.

Yes, he was a god but fate had a funny hand when it came to them and their soulmates.

One thing he always disliked about him, fate, was the fact that he could hide their other halves for eternity and no one could ever do anything about it, it was maddening, truly.

He only met her once and has been stuck with her image in his head, and for the life of him, nothing would make it go away. He tried searching for her in hundreds of other dimensions but it was all in vain. Not only fate didn't want him to find her but it seemed like she was on board with that as well. Even when he caught a whiff of her, it was gone in seconds but at least he narrowed the search down to earth, that didn't mean it would be easy.

He disguised himself as many people, in many places, each time trying to give her description to people all around the world only to come up empty handed, no one knew her, no one saw her, he would've understood that, had it not been for the fact that he didn't search in one place, he searched all over the earth, went to each and every continent, country, city, village, verbally asked millions of people, read the mind of billions yet still, nothing, nada, nichts.

How interesting. She's everywhere inside my heart yet nowhere else.

What a vixen, so beautiful, so intelligent, ethereal.

Just you wait love, I'll find you, it is only a matter of time before you're in my arms and I'm never letting go of you again.

Eris shot up from her position , standing on her two feet she could've sworn she heard him talk to her, it was almost like a whisper lost in the wind.

Shocked by her own thoughts she shook her head and decided she was imagining things.

It didn't matter though because the sun was almost fully out and she started making her way back to the cottage, the Vampire King left a few minutes before she thought she heard his voice so she didn't have to deal with an annoying vampire on top of today's events.

Reaching the cottage she went up to her room and took a quick shower, after drying herself off, she stood in front of the blurred mirror and swiped her hand on it, clearing a small area.

She looked at the mirror tracing the scar that ran down from her temple to just below her eye. It looked eerie, like it didn't belong there and she knew that, she just didn't want it to go away.

It marked her growth, her change.

The prison's placement was foreboding to everyone around her and they weren't even inside yet.

The disgusting stench of death reached their nostrils, had they not known they were at the entrance of the prison Alpha Eris wanted to show them, they would've never gotten closer to it, the smell shouldn't have been so strong yet seeing as they were of a higher status, they all smelled it.

"I think I'm going to puke my guts, I swear." Said the King's Beta.

"Shush." whispered Calysta.

Eris ignored them and pressed her hand to the scanner hidden underneath the bushes.

It might have seemed easy to enter the prison seeing as the only requirement was her hand scan but it wasn't only that, for the scan to actually work, the right amount of pressure should be applied which no one but Eris knew.

"My King, from here forward, I request that whatever is to be seen remains between us, no one outside of our circle should ever be aware of this place for it is a blessing in disguise for the whole supernatural world and not many would understand its purpose." Spoke Calysta.

She knew of the importance of the place and everything inside it in spite of never being able to enter.

The King only nodded his head before the gates opened.

The first thing to be seen was a hallway, a clean, spotless hallway.

The whole thing looked to be made out of titanium to the naked eye but Eris knew that it was a combination of many other materials.

"If this looks so clean, where does this foul smell come from?" Asked Beta Aziz while staring at Gamma Calysta.

This time, no one answered him because everyone was busy, looking at the cell in front of them or rather... at the person inside it.

No one even realized they were still moving until they stopped, everyone lost in their own thoughts.

"What the f- ." Aziz's words got stuck in his throat at the gruesome sight in front of him.

"?" The voice that spoke was rough, rough like nails scratching a blackboard, like a dying person's last words, like it has been screaming for quite a while.

It was unpleasant in every sense of the word, two of them had to cover their ears because their sensitive hearing didn't help the volume of the voice at all.

It sounded so desperate, so sad, so broken.
