"Beta Calysta, you do know the consequences of killing an Alpha, in front of your King as well, don't you?" Asked King Romanov, on his way to her.

The room was too big for its own good, he thought annoyed.

Reaching her he saw her about to yell something but he didn't give her a chance, putting his hands around her neck, snapping it like a twig.

He actually liked Alpha Eris which was unusual for him, he had something against most of the Alphas because of their greed but allowed them their title because they were good with their packs.

He turned his back to Calysta's now dead body, letting it fall to the floor in disgust, then went towards the Beta.

"And you, you disgusting excuse of a Beta, you wanted to kill her as well, for what? For the power? The riches? THE POSITION? If you wanted all that, you should've challenged her for her title not try kill her like a coward only for it to be unsuccessful." Growled the King at Axis, he, once again tried to say something but Romanov didn't allow that to happen, he crouched before yanking Beta Axis up by the collar of his shirt.

"Not only did you break almost every law out there but you also left this pack without an Alpha, what did you think would happen? That I would just accept your betrayal and support it by making you the Alpha? Huh? DID YOU THINK I WOULD ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN?" Axis stood straight, staring ahead, he knew he wouldn't be able to get a word out before his fate would match Calysta's.

He felt King Romanov's hand move from his collar to his neck, tightening with each word he spoke.

"Before I kill you, riddle me this." Spoke the King once again.

"Why did she not kill Calysta, I've seen her fight, I've seen how easily she took you down before you even got close enough to do any real damage." The Kings eyes were burning with hate at this point, he couldn't comprehend the Alpha's actions? He knew she could've killed Calysta before she did her yet she didn't.

"On second thought, it doesn't matter anymore I guess." Pulling the Beta forward by the throat, he motioned for his guards to open the window.

It was quite a high drop and he knew that, he would enjoy every second of the Beta's fear filled eyes as he fell.

"No, NO, NO, my King, wait- " his words got stuck in his throat the moment the King threw him out of the window like a rag doll, before jumping as well.

He felt every bone break in his body the moment he collided with the hard pavement underneath the window, the pain was excruciating and he felt it all, while he didn't have time to reposition himself mid air and prepare for reaching the ground, the King did, and he landed a few feet away from him, on his feet.

He couldn't utter a word, the pain agonizing, yet it didn't stop there, King Romanov picked him up once again, holding him by the neck, he couldn't breath, couldn't speak and couldn't move, the intention in the King's eyes trapping him.

Once again the King didn't waste a moment before snapping his neck.

Romanov knew that breaking their necks would kill them immediately, unlike Alphas, their healing process was slower which meant death, the Beta and Gamma positions while powerful still had their downsides, plenty differences between them and the Alpha even though the positions didn't seem that far away from Alpha.

He turned his back towards the dead Beta, wanting to go back inside, gather the pack and explain what had happened but stopped dead in his tracks, hearing a whoosh above him then nothing.

He only felt an all too familiar presence.

He moved his imperial blue eyes to his left where the spot should've been empty only to see Alpha Eris, very much alive.

"Impossible." He breathed out slowly.

For a few seconds he foolishly thought his eyes were playing a trick on him only to feel her aura which undoubtedly was unique in every way possible.

"You are- , what- , you should've been- ," he couldn't even form a proper sentence, becoming a stuttering mess, he was the King for crying out loud, he never ever stuttered in all his damned existence.

"Dead." Finished a voice from behind her, he didn't even notice another presence, his instincts haywire with the unexpected appearance of Alpha Eris.

Looking behind her, he wished he never did.

Standing tall behind Alpha Eris was once again someone unexpected, Gamma Calysta.

He started cursing under his breath, everything that just happened was basically impossible, the Alpha being killed by the Gamma topping it all, followed by them coming back to life, which shouldn't have happened.

He felt almost faint.

"Am I dreaming? Am I dead as well?" He asked metaphorically while looking up at the sky, the sight in front of him too unbearable.

They stayed in that position for about 15 minutes and while he wouldn't have moved for another few hours, he stood straighter, shocked once again, he wasn't expecting an answer to his previous questions yet he got one.

"You aren't dreaming nor are you dead my King." Said Beta Axis while popping his bones back in place.

King Romanov returned his sight to the two, only to see the Beta has joined them as well.

The trio staring at him, waiting for his reaction.

"This is what I mean when I said to watch closely. I surely didn't expect to be used as reference as well, nor did Calysta. The whole purpose of what happened was to prove to you my King, that nothing Alpha Eris has said was a lie." Spoke Beta Axis once again.

He was in a hell of a lot of pain but he decided not to nag about it, after all, he deserved it for not explaining beforehand what he was about to do, he thought that showing would be easier yet he didn't expect for the King to throw him out of a 4 story window, the fall hurt like a bitch.

What scared him though was his Alpha's reaction, he hadn't told her his and Calysta's plan because he knew she wouldn't particularly enjoy it, after all, who would like for their throat to be slit open by their trusted friend.

While it wasn't the first, nor the last time he'd do it, he did feel slightly worse than usual about it. His Alpha didn't seem outraged which was a good sign.
