I told myself not to think about it, but why is he on my mind all day!
That stupid username of his that has a useless underscore, keeps appearing in my mind.
The thought of Minju posting his stolen photos on her account bothers me! And I definitely dislike the thought of Beomgyu posting couple pictures on his Instagram.
That makes me sick.
"Hey—" "Holy shi...p." Jaemin laughed, and stood beside me.
"Why are we here?" He whispered into my ear.
Wait. Why am I here? I'm still standing in front of my house waiting for absolutely nothing.
I don't want to go with Beomgyu to school! Dad went on a business trip that's why the car's not here.
"But why are you here?" I asked him back.
He chuckled. "Your body looked like it's missing its soul, so I came to check if you're okay."
I was that dazed?
"Can you drive me to school? You have a car right?" I asked, and flashed him the most charming smile I could ever do.
He laughed even more, and rolled his eyes at me. He must think I'm ridiculous to ask such favor.
"Looks like Choi and Shin have a feud once again~" He cooed, and walked towards his black shiny car.
"Is that a yes?!" I shouted since he was already across the street.
He unclosed the passenger seat, and I sighed in relief.
Saved by mister Na Jaemin. I'm so thankful to have another friend near my house than Beomgyu.

We arrived, and almost everyone were goggling at us as we made our way to the entrance door.
Ah. I almost forgot. Jaemin is a popular person in our school, and right, they made some ludicrous rumors about us dating.

Probably the reason why they're staring at us.
They're confirming if the rumors were true or not. Immature slobs.
"I hate it here." Jaemin lets out a sigh, and looked down at me with a fake smile.
I couldn't help but laugh at his expression, and him being wierded out by my reaction, he laughed as well.
But then, I felt someone touch my wrist from behind. It pulled me, and made me turn around to face whoever he or she was.
My eyes bludged wide as my face reddened by how near he was to my face.
"W-What are you doing?" Great. Congratulations for stuttering Shin Ryujin!
Instead of answering me, he pulled me away from Jaemin and started walking.
"Going to our classroom. You're going to be late, and you still manage to laugh with him," he glowered.
What's wrong with him?
Why am I even asking that? I should fix myself first! My face heated when he showed up! I shouldn't feel that when he's in front of me. He's my best friend, and he'll always be my best friend.
I didn't say anything back to what he said, and followed him while his hand is still gripping onto my wrist.
I almost jumped when he suddenly came into a halt, and turned to look at me. I looked away, so that I wouldn't meet his eyes.
What is happening to me?
"Are you sick?" He asked.
"Huh?"
He puts his palm on my forehead, to feel my temperature and gazed down to me once more.
"You're acting different. Are you sure you're okay?" He asked worriedly.
"Oh my goodness Beomgyu." I rolled my eyes, and nodded twice to him.
He sighed in relief, and pulled me again to walk to our classroom.

a few hours later...
"Ryujin?"
Ugh.
"Ryujin?"
Five more minutes please...
"Ryujin?"
Just five minutes!
"Miss Shin!" I bolted up as I suddenly heard Mrs. Song's voice. Shit. I slept in class.
"It's 29." I glanced beside me, and it was Beomgyu who spoke.
"Yes?" I asked.
"I was supposed to ask you the square root of 841, but sine Beomgyu answered, you can continue to wander in your dreams again." She gave me a very sarcastic smile, and turned to write the answer on the board.
You're so stupid Ryujin!
"Hey." I turned to Beomgyu who just spoke to me.
"That's fine. Just try to focus more, okay?" I nodded and sat back down on my seat.
I could feel my heart beating fast again, but I know it's not just because I got caught sleeping and suddenly felt nervous. I know to myself that this is something else.

Hell Jumper
(This is a sort of public first draft of the story. Constructive feedback is appreciated.) The year is 2510, and the world has gone to shit. Thanks to centuries of climate crisis and global instability, Amber is one of billions of people who lives out in the barren and dangerous wastes, struggling to survive day to day. Meanwhile, the elite live in utopian cities. Behind their steel walls, they want for nothing and their lives are that of luxury. For anyone unfortunate enough to be born outside of these paradises, they can undergo the Gilding Trials. A dangerous competition that can earn the winners a better life. Amber had always considered this a scam at worst, or a pipe dream at best. Fully believing that there would be no way the elite in the city of Aurum would let outsiders join. Despite her worries, her wife’s fatal injuries reveal a grim reality: there is only one place for her to get the care she needs. Aurum.
